Jessica, did you end up going to the party? I have a policy - If Hubby doesn't go I don't go. lol Happy almost 30th! Do you have any fun plans? :D
Alissa, Hi co-host! ;)
Again, I'm sorry about the spotting. :( I hate your SCH too!!! I'm pretty sure you found baby's h/b. It's a pretty distinct sound. It's very fast (130-180 bpm) and sounds like a train or galloping horses. Please KUP asap on you u/s tomorrow. It's at 3, right?
Oh and happy 10 Weeks!!! :D
AFM, I'm dragging today. I am sooo tired...I just want to sleep all day. I had fun this weekend...went to a birthday party, visited with FIL, did some baby shopping, cleaned the house and had a cook-out. I hope you guys had a fun weekend too.
What are you guys doing fir dinner tonight? I'm making chicken and sun-dried tomato paella but am craving angel hair pasta sooo bad. I've been craving meat, cheese, bread and tomatoes this pregnancy. So weird...I can't get enough. lol
Alissa - good luck with your ultrasound! Spotting is horrible - I think I ignore everyone and google every possible which way I can word "spotting" when it happens to me, which only leads to bad news so DONT DO THAT! lol!
Jina - your list of stuff you did this weekend makes me tired just reading it..haha. No, I don't have any plans. DH said he has a "surprise" for me, but I think that's man speak for, "I haven't gotten you anything yet". I really don't want anything, a nice date night would be good. :) But he's working all the time and I'm sick, maybe an IOU? lol. I did take off Saturday - so I'll have the whole weekend off! I'm totally sleeping all day.
AFM, No, I didn't go to the cookout. It started at 3 about an hour from here and I didn't get up from my nap 'til about 230. Oopsie. Sunday, I threw up the entire day. Monday I had to work for a couple hours and I was SO HUNGRY from not being able to keep anything down Sunday. I had this craving for something spicy (seems to be the norm here lately) and it was only 10 in the morning and no fast food place was serving lunch yet..so I drove home and ..ended up getting Mexican. Mexican! After I JUST wasn't able to hold ANYTHING down. And ladies - omg - that salsa was so good. I didn't even want the meal, just the salsa and chips. Then I threw that up, too! MIL came over for dinner and DH cooked - he made dinner for breakfast and I ate some potatoes and they managed to stay down. Today has been a roller coaster of if I'm gonna throw up or not. I've managed to not so far.
I'm so freakin tired. I didn't get a nap in yesterday - well, I did for like..30 minutes, but my "naps" are usually like 2 hours.. so I went to bed at 815. That's still not 8 hours, since I have to get up at 3, but I thought maybe I'd feel less tired today. Nope. Still tired. Plus the place they moved me is incredibly busy... so I'm on the move from the time I get there 'til the time I leave.
Hope you ladies are doing well... it's time for me to take a nap.
Jina - Meat, cheese, bread, and tomatoes are pretty good things to crave. At least it's not something crazy like peanut butter and onion sandwiches or something. Sorry that you're so tired today...you should put your feet up and relax until dinner time. :)
My appointment is at 11:30 tomorrow. At least I don't have to wait until the very end of the day for once. :)
Thanks for the Happy 10 Weeks. Thank GOODNESS the first tri is almost over. I am so done with this part of the pregnancy, and ready to be on to the part where I can feel the baby move, and look pregnant instead of fat, and all of the good parts. Thumbs down, first trimester!!! LOL
Forgot to say: DH is making dinner tonight. Some pasta and chicken dish...Which is okay, except I can't go overboard on the pasta because of the carbs. Hopefully he has thought of that and will have a healthy portion of chicken, plus a salad or something so I can go light on the pasta and not starve.
Jessica - Haha about Mexican right after you had been so sick the day before. You are soooo pregnant. LOL I hope you get to take a really long nap today....just thinking about getting up at 3 makes me tired!
Just real quick! I'll come back and so longer responses later.
Thanks Alissa for starting the EDDs and Grads thread! What a good idea! :D I'm off to start dinner! :D
Jessica, I hope your DH surprises you with something special! A date night and a weekend off sounds pretty awesome already! I'm sorry you're still so sick. Mmmm....I love me some good salsa. I hope you were able to keep things down today. I hope you had a good nap too!
Alissa, I can't wait for your update on the u/s. I'll be stalking very closely! :D LOL...peanut butter and onion....blech! I glad I haven't had a weird cravings...lol. How was dinner? I'm so jealous that your DH cooks! ;)
AFM, Not much going on here....just really tired. Dinner was really good and the kitchen is clean so I'm going to watch some Netflix and surf the net. I hope you are all having a great night!!
Jina - ermmm.. my husband isn't the best person at getting me gifts. Last Valentines Day I got him all this thoughtful stuff...well, I thought it was thoughtful and he came home on Valentines Day night with a plastic grocery bag with a stuffed animal and some chocolate - and the receipt... oh! and a card that wasn't signed.. LOL I mean, atleast he got me something, right? But I think he picked it up at the gas station at the corner. However, if we could get out for a date and I feel well - that would be perfect :)
Jessica, yes, he definitely gets points for trying! ;) I hope you guys are able to get a date night! :D
Alissa, good luck today!! I'll be thinking of you and can't wait to see a pic of your cutie patootie! :D
I hope you don't mind but I'm so stealing your PGAL siggy...if I can find a way to make it fit that is. :D
AFM, I'm still tired today. I had a can of diet coke with splenda and a cup of honey and mint green tea but I'm still feeling very sluggish. I feel like I've been drugged or something....weird.
I bought a breast pump because it was on sale at Target. I think they're still on sale if you guys are interested. It's the Medela Pump In Style and it's marked down to $225 plus they throw in a $25 GC. Pretty sweet deal, I think.
I have the medela PIS and it has lasted me through 2 kiddos so far. I pumped until DS1 was about 9-10 months and with lots of pumping early on b/c he started out on a bottle in the NICU (he was born at 33 weeks 4 days, spent 17 days in the NICU) before we were able to transition to just BFing and then I pumped at work only. I pumped at work for DS2 until he was a year old. So it has gotten a lot of use. It's a good pump IMO. Do you expect to be pumping alot?
Jina - Yes, help yourself to my sig line if you can make it fit (I had to rearrange a lot of stuff on mine to get it in there...) Haha, thanks for stalking me. I posted an update in a separate thread. :D :D :D Sorry that you are feeling so tired! I hope you are able to get some rest today.
DH made an awesome chicken and pasta dish (the pasta was separate so I could limit my portion.) It was sauteed chicken, spinach, tomatoes, artichoke hearts, and asparagus in a light chicken broth/wine sauce. It was soooo yummy!
I had a Medela PIS. It pooped out right around the 1 year mark, but I put heavy use into it (3x a day at work, 5 days a week from 3-12 months.) I will probably get another, as I plan to pump at work again with this baby. :D
Jessica - I agree with Jina - points for trying for your hubby. Haha about the unsigned card, that is sooo something that my hubby would do too (in fact, I think he has.....) At least they try, bless their hearts. Hope you get an awesome date night for your birthday. :D
Lynn - How are you hon? How is your sister hanging in there?
AFM - Going to go throw Jina's Saucy Salsa chicken in the crock pot now. Be back soon!
