Jessica - Ooooh, sorry you were so sick yesterday! I'm really hoping it slacks off for you soon. Pot roast sounds really good. How do you make yours? Maybe I will make one on Saturday. I usually only make one on the weekends (when I make it at all, which is rare) because it takes so long to cook. I haven't made one in forever, and that sounds pretty yummy.
Jina - Ugh, that's kind of rude of your ILs to send the girls to you sick and not even warn you. ESPECIALLY with you being pregnant! Your immune system is suppressed because of the pregnancy anyway, and then you can't even take much medicine. I'm glad that you still had fun though. I hope that you feel better soon!
I'm sorry that you are so sore on top of everything else. Have you taken any Tylenol? I know we are allowed to take that, and it might make you a little less achy. Take it easy today, and I hope you feel better tomorrow!
AFM - I am feeling very proud of myself. Now that I am feeling more energetic again, I am trying to work on my diet and exercise again. Yesterday I took a half an hour walk (and plan to do at least another half an hour again today) and I packed some healthy food to eat today. I had cheerios with 2% and just a touch of sugar for breakfast, and I have salmon and salad for lunch today (decided to pack it for lunch today instead) and have greek yogurt and a Luna bar in case I need snacks. Tonight I am going to the grocery store after T's swim lessons and getting more veggies, hummus, whole wheat crackers, et cetera as well as groceries for dinner for the next several days. We will just eat leftovers that my MIL sent home with us for dinner tonight.
Oh, and I posted about this on my BB so Jessica knows, but I think I have been feeling movement for the past several days!!!! :yahoo: I didn't expect it so early, but it really does feel like the baby, and actually seems to have gotten slightly stronger, so I think it is. I didn't feel T until 17 weeks, but they do say that second time moms feel it earlier, so I think it could be the real thing. :) Anyway, it's exciting.
Hope that everyone has a good day!

Jina - like Alissa said, that is highly rude to send your nieces sick, with no warning. I'm so sorry you feel bad and it sounds like your body is misbehaving too. I hope your rest puts you back where you need to be. KUP about how you feel - so I can worry about you LOL In all seriousness though, I really do hope you feel better.
Alissa - I'm glad you get to feel the baby move around. I can't wait for that! Although, I'd settle for hearing the FRIGGIN HEARTBEAT. *ahem* I will say, when I am playing with the doppler I can hear my heartbeat right in the middle and right at my hairline and I couldn't do that before, so ...I hear the placenta sounds like swooshy noises and your heartbeat so..maybe it's moving up and I'll hear the baby soon. ....that's what I'm going with anyway. Glad you made some good food choices! I didn't, but I'lll write about that in a minute. Have you had the Kind Blueberry/Vanilla bar? OMG so good! My store carries Kind Bars but, the blueberry/vanilla is owned by Starbucks...? So anyway, I have to buy it from Starbucks but it is YUMMY. I make my pot roast with a crap load of veggies. I don't even really like the meat...LOL. I like mine a little more thick, more like a gravy than a sauce. mmm.. it's gonna be good, thankfully my brother remembered to turn it off and stick it in the fridge or else we would have had burned pot roast..LOL
AFM, what a day what a day. I had an asthma attack last night (I don't think this one was cuz of the dog but that's all I'm saying!) and it was bad. I did a breathing treatment and it didn't work so I sat out on the couch with the fan blowing on me for awhile. It finally calmed down enough for me to go to bed....at 1 in the morning. I have to get up at 3, so I just layed there...thinking I need to turn on my alarm. At 311 I popped up, cussed and got ready for work. When I rush like that in the morning, my m/s is HORRIBLE. If I get enough sleep it's usually okay for a few hours. But I was gagging and dry heaving immediately. I got to work.. I had taken two Zofran but they just weren't doing anything. It was horrible. I knew I needed to eat something, but I need something I can "snack" on, like.. I constantly need something in my mouth, so I got a bag of Cheetos (I know, healthy, right?), but those didn't help either. I didn't want 'em so I wasn't really "eating" them. So at 11, when I close, I still had a crap ton of work to do and I just couldn't do it. I decided I was gonna leave and just go back tomorrow. I got in the car...and about passed out. I figured it was from lack of eating, so I went and got a burger. I ate it and feel marginally better, but still not 100%. THEN, I stopped to get gas and two hornets were flying around my leg. I did the smart thing and swatted them. *snort* One few at me a million times more so I ran across the parking lot and the other one FLEW IN MY CAR. So I spent 30 minutes trying to get him out, finally I ended up squashing him (actually, I think I pushed him through the seats into my trunk) with a toilet bowl scrubber (don't ask).
Never a dull moment, I tell ya.
As for the baby - Ive been having RLP like crazy. But I had it before the baby? I remember I used to think my ovary or tube hurt when I sneezed, so..maybe it's not RLP even though it "sounds" like it on Dr. Google. I know they say when you have m/s in early pregnancy it's a good sign for the baby and some people never get over it and blahblahblah, but ... I'm not quite 14 weeks and even m/s isn't giving me a good feeling about the baby anymore. I used to be able to fall back on that...oh I'm so sick, the baby must be doing well! But I think I am too far along to be able to say that anymore.
I sure do love to write novels on here...

Jessica, actually I think just the opposite...with my first loss I was just as sick as I always have been in pregnancy. We even saw a h/b at 7.5 weeks. At about 10ish weeks I started feeling better which seemed odd to me based on DS1 pregnancy where I was sick until almost halfway. But I just told myself it's normal for different pregnancies to feel different. I found at my 11.5 week appointment that baby had passed, measured about 9.5 weeks. Most early losses happen around that 10ish weeks timeframe so I think the fact that your m/s is still going strong is a great sign that you made it past that point. You'll probably start to feel better in a few more weeks, hopefully by 18 to 20 at the latest. Although there are no guarantees, some ladies have it the whole pregnancy. Hopefully you won't be so unlucky. ;)
-
Lynn - thanks for the encouragement. I went in to the doc at 11w5d because ...well, lots of reasons. But the baby was bouncing around in there, just like they should be. I have another appt in 2 weeks from today... I guess I just *still* can't let myself believe that maybe I'll be okay in this pregnancy. I try to not really think about being pregnant, that way I don't focus in on every pain/twinge/whatever.
Doesn't really work though. When I'm sleeping maybe LOL
-
LOL, get lots of sleep ;) I understand, it's nearly impossible not to let those thoughts creep in. I remember with DS2, the next pregnancy following my loss, it wasn't until 20ish weeks before I started to feel fairly confident in the pregnancy. It's ok to be hopeful, but reserved. You'll get there and be able to be unreservedly excited later on in the pregnancy. :)
-
Jessica - I totally agree with Lynn. I think that it is really normal to hold back and worry after a loss. I am feeling somewhat better since I stopped spotting (16 days in a row, baby, and a full month since anything more than a tiny pink tinge....:yahoo:) but I think that was so stressful that just stopping the spotting feels like a huge relief. I hope that by the time the baby is really moving and kicking you regularly, you will be able to start to really relax and enjoy this pregnancy.
Lynn - Can't wait to see your test results on the POAS Party thread on Friday. I have everything EVERYTHING (fingers, toes, legs, boobs, everything!) crossed for you and Liz. So exciting!!!!
AFM - I haven't weighed myself in a while (not since my last drs appt) and I was actually worried that I might be gaining too fast because I have been starving lately, so I weighed myself this morning. I was all prepared to deduct a pound from my weight because my hair was still wet (lol, you know, wet hair, very heavy stuff ) but then I found that, at least according to my bathroom scale, I am down another pound from my drs appt which puts me down a full 10 lbs from my starting pre-pregnancy weight. Normally losing 10 lbs without trying would be the awesome, but now I'm worried that baby isn't getting enough calories to thrive. :bonkself: I lost 3 lbs with T, and 5 ish with both of my losses, so I think that losing a little in the beginning is normal for me, but obviously I want to make sure that the baby is getting what s/he needs. Do you think I should start counting my calories to make sure baby is getting enough, or am I being totally paranoid? I am supposed to gain 25-35 lbs, and I know that I have a lot of time to go, so maybe I shouldn't worry about it and just keep eating when I'm hungry? :bonkself:

Alissa, :yahoo: Yay for movement!! What an awesome milestone!! :D:D
Yes, I took some tylenol and it helped a little bit but I'm still very achy and sore. Ahhh...the joys of pregnancy. lol
I'm glad to hear that you're feeling more energetic. I think it's great that you're getting exercise and eating healthy. I bet you feel better just knowing that you're eating healthier. I know I always do. I need to get back to eating healthy again. This weekend was a bust since we were babysitting and I've just been too sick to cook so I ordered Chinese yesterday. Ahhhh! The sodium! lol I want to start walking too. I have a freaking treadmill and the weather is so nice that I should be taking advantage of it instead of being a sloth.....
Jessica, I'm sure you'll be able to hear the h/b soon. If you're hearing the placenta that's a good sign! Plus, you just got to see your jumping bean! :D I can't wait to hear all about your next u/s. Maybe you'll get a peek at the goods!
Wow, sounds like you had quite a day! Sorry about the asthma attack...how scary. I get the shakes and feel like I'm going to pass out when I'm dehydrated or my blood sugar is too low. Make sure you're drinking plenty of water and keep a granola bar in your purse just in case. I hope you were able to have a more relaxing non eventful day today.
I'm sorry you're still suffering from m/s. I hope you start feeling better now that you're getting into the second trimester. I'm having RLP too. I have to hold my tummy when I sneeze or cough because it hurts! Also, TMI but, I pee a little when I sneeze really hard! Eeeek! LOL I was soooo grossed out when it first happened. Now I just wear a liner all the time just in case. Hahahaha!
Lynn, I'm so excited to stalk your chart! It looks like you had pretty darn good timing this month! :D Sending TONS of sticky bfp vibes your way! Oh and when are you planning on testing?!
-
Alissa, I think you're fine especially if you lost weight with T too. I think it's perfectly normal for some people to lose weight in the beginning. I didn't really start gaining a whole lot until about 14 weeks. As long as you're taking your PNVs and eating when you're hungry your body will take care of the baby. And if your doctor isn't concerned you shouldn't be either! :D Haha! I think you're lucky! I've put on 11-12 lbs already! Eeek! ;)
-
Alissa - my OB said that the baby is going to take what she needs before your body gets it.. very selfish things, babies are...LOL But I'm down 16 lbs since all the m/s and she's not worried at all... She said drink more water (I hate water) and eat when I can...the baby will suck everything they need right from it! LOL So no, I wouldn't be worried about your weight loss. And when you're 38 weeks pregnant and huge I'm gonna be like..see? LMAO
Jina - that made me LOL that you peed yourself. Definitely looking forward to that. LOL. OMG you're 22 weeks! Dang woman, you just hit 21 weeks seems like.. :yahoo: way to go! I think I'm going to have to start wearing a liner anyway.. the discharge is uh.. well anyway.. yeah.. LMAO Hope that makes sense!
AFM, I was off today but had to go in and scan in an order. I got "official" word that they have FOUND SOMEONE FOR THAT STORE!! *happy dance* I get to train them next week (uh-oh.. I guess our district manager thinks I'm awesome because usually they send 'em to a store about 40 miles away to get trained) and then I'll be back at MY store the following week. I'm super excited. Mainly because the NEXT week I have an order coming in that took me 14 hours to scan in last year WITH help. In the store I'm currently at - I don't have any help so.. I'm anxious to get out of there because it'll take me two days non stop to scan it in.. EEEK! Nothin like letting a newbie tackle that in her first week by herself.. I feel better today, I got some sleep so my m/s isn't horrible. I might go do some laundry. Or take a nap. Haven't decided..haha. Oh, AND one of my asthma medications went to generic :yahoo: that stuff was horribly expensive and now it's 8 bucks. WOOT!
-
Jina - I had to pee very badly today.. I made it to the bathroom, and...sneezed. I totally peed on myself. LMAO I couldn't stop laughing in the bathroom (I was at work) because I was thinking about you and how you jinxed me...LOL
What are you ladies doing this weekend? I can't BELIEVE it's another weekend! Man these weeks are flying by. I have plans with the hubby tomorrow to go to Peanut Fest. (I live next to the peanut capital of the world! ...I hate peanuts....LMAO).. But they have a fun, redneck festival every year. This will be the first year they aren't calling for rain the whole weekend. DH wants to go tomorrow night because they have the demolition derby. Did I say redneck? Think so...LOL I'm not super thrilled that we'll get home late and I'll have to get up for work super early, but whatever..it'll be nice to get out of the house. Today, I totally felt un-pregnant (except for my buddy m/s), my pants fit this morning and my boobies didn't hurt and I was MAD. Throughout the day though, it all came back. I had a killer headache and no Tylenol and couldn't get away to go buy any.. I tried to eat throughout the day today, but someone (on accident) knocked my food over so.. I was starving again by the time I closed.. I went to Taco Bell and got a soft taco. I do believe that was the best soft taco EVER....and then it gave me the best heartburn ever too! Anyway, I'm better now. Hope you ladies are doing well!
