Alissa - I'm so sorry youre bleeding again! Geez, that would scare the crap outta me! I mean it's better it happened there, luckily every time I've had something jammed up there, my cervix didn't bleed. With a mega-paranoia person like me, it's probably better that it didn't.
You get your gender scan ONE DAY before me. :yahoo: I'm so excited for you!

On another note, when they booked my gender scan they said the OB would be looking for all kinds of things WRONG with the baby. I was like, I totally would have been fine thinking I'm just coming in to the find the gender. Seriously.

Alissa, I meant to ask... When you feel the movement, is it in the same place you hear the heartbeat?

Not exactly the same place, no. Keep in mind that so far I have never heard the h/b and felt movement at the same time yet, but lately the h/b has been low, but then later when I feel the movement it has felt a bit higher up most of the time. But I was reading that if you stretched the baby out, s/he would be like 9 inches long from the top of her head to the bottom of her feel (which makes sense since they are supposed to be about 5 inches from "crown to rump" and their legs are now supposed to be "in proportion" so that makes sense that it wouldn't be right on where the heart is.

Hmm...maybe what I'm feeling IS baby movement. I hear the heartbeat low and feel something about an inch up. I can't explain the feeling, it doesn't hurt...but it doesn't feel like "popcorn" or "butterfly wings" or whatever else they say. It feels like someone poked me kind of.

Nope. Nope. I refuse to get excited! LOL

Jessica if you're starting to get suspicious of possible movement I bet it won't be long before you get for sure movement, maybe just a few weeks. Super exciting! :D

Alissa, sorry about the bleeding but at least you know doc was in there irritating things. That's about the only situation I can think of where preg bleeding wouldn't give me a sense of impending doom. ;) I do hope it stops quickly though.

Jina, I hope you can see some progress on the nursery soon. I'm sure y'all will get it done in time but I can assure you from personal experience you'll manage if it doesn't get done. With DS1 coming 6.5 weeks early and within a month of us moving in a new place the nursery was not, at all, done. He refused to stay in it anyway once we finally got him home. :rolleyes: I know it's important but try not to stress. :)

AFM, this week is going quickly so far, which is awesome b/c I'm so excited/anxious to get to ultrasound day. Which is next Monday. Ok, off to bed for me, too late as usual.

Jessica, Eeek! Glad your DH is okay! I think it's cool that your DH wants clothes for Christmas. It should make shopping for him much easier this year, right? :D

I'm sorry about your friend. I hope it turns out to be a very minor thing. It's sad that her SO isn't being very supportive. He sounds like an @ss. You are a good friend and she's lucky to have you for support!

Wow! You need to teach me how to coupon! lol That's awesome! I think we spend more than we should be on groceries. I don't know...I hear about what other people are spending each month and I'm astounded that they can get away with spending way less than us and they have to feed more mouths! BUT, I DO live in an area where it's HCOL.

Anyhoo, I bet that was your baby poking you! That's what I felt too. The very first time it felt like bubbles. The second time it felt like someone was gently poking me from the inside! Pretty soon the little bugger is going to feel like a fish or a dolphin! LOL :D

Nidia, I grew up in Houston and now live in Austin. My hubby is from Dallas. :D Sorry you're so tired...hopefully you'll get some energy back soon! :D

Alissa, We are going to New Orleans. M took me there for Valentine's day when I was 19 and I haven't been back since! I can't wait. I'm jealous that you guys get to go to Florida!! You guys are going to have such a blast there. What did your doctor say about you flying with your blood clotting issue? I've been sort of paranoid about flying because I read that there could be a greater risk of blood clots while flying if you have mthfr. I'm so not trying to freak you out....I'm sure it's totally fine...I'm just freaking crazy paranoid. Ya know...having 3 m/cs and a cp will do that to ya! :wink:

Yay for a good and (mostly) uneventful appointment! Glad the white spot is gone but sorry about the spotting. At least you know what caused it!

AFM, I have to clean my house today and tomorrow and get ready for a busy weekend.

Oh and it seems like I'm freaking starving all. the. time. Seriously, I've been trying to eat really healthy and keep my calories at a recommended 1500 a day but I think baby boy is going through a growth spurt because I'm starving all the time. I'm guessing this is all normal. :eek:

Jina, I'm a self taught coupon-er. I was only doing it occasionally and my mom moved in with me and DH (he was still a boyfriend then) and plus I had my brother and I had to do *something*. Plus, I was addicted to the show extreme couponing. My mom bought me a binder for my coupons for Christmas, I LOVE it.. lol I don't know about COL but I DO know that the store I work at as high prices, but we double every coupon up to $1.00 every day. Most stores don't do that. Even other "sister" stores don't do it, just us because we need the sales since we're in the sticks LOL.

AFM, DH and MIL have decided to take a vacation next July. With me. And the entire family. And a newborn! WHAAAT? I'm kind of excited - but I keep thinking about the baby screaming and the whole family like...shuuuuutttt upppp. Oh well, they knew a baby was on the way and they still picked July. DH made me laugh though, he was like ..."the nights will be cool by then and the days not so hot"... I'm thinking..July? Days AND nights are hot, dork! LMAO
Anyway, I work tomorrow and Saturday. I think DH is off Sunday, he's going to spend it getting ready for his hunting trip. I've been invited to a birthday dinner on Sunday, but I don't think I'm going to go. Insanely spiteful as it sounds - I'm sick of always doing everything for her and her only talking to me or hanging out when it's convenient for her. One week from today and I'm going to be away from the computer for four days. Well maybe, I might take my laptop with me.

Jessica, a family vacation sounds wonderful. You probably will be itching to get out of the house and have some fun by July of next year! Plus, you'll have bunch of babysitters around so your and DH can get a night to yourselves! Sounds awesome to me! ;)

Did you end up going to the birthday dinner? I don't blame you for getting sick of a one way friendship. I just don't have patience for people like that anymore. I've cut sooo many "friends" out of my life and my life is much simpler now a days. No more drama, at least not from friends! lol

AFM, had a busy busy weekend. Hubby finally finished priming the walls and has put on the first coat of paint! Yay! I'm going to start ordering the furniture now that I have a place to put them! :D

Jina - babysitters!! I hadn't thought of that! DH was telling me that his mom wanted to go white water rafting. WHITE WATER RAFTING. With a newborn. .....BAHAHAHAHA. I totally cracked a joke - I said we better put water wings on the baby so he/she will float. I don't think DH liked my joke very much. I, however, laughed for a long time. (I was obviously kidding, me and baby will stay safely OUT of the water). My friend cancelled her bday dinner. Hurricane Sandy was on it's way here and the weather was getting crappy already, so she rescheduled it for next weekend, but I won't be here next weekend, so.. I won't be going. Her birthday falls on Halloween. She kind of irritated me today. She's the same one I had mentioned had an enlarged spleen. They did blood work and had the results today. LAST tuesday, I'M the one that showed up for support, not her boyfriend. Today? She tells me not to go with her, that her boyfriends MOM is going to go with her. I KNOW the purpose of that is to maybe see her boyfriend (they don't see each other on Tuesdays)..but dang, I felt like, AGAIN, I was getting the short end of the stick. I know you're excited about your nursery!! So glad your hubby is getting it ready. I can't believe you'll be 26 weeks tomorrow! That's just crazy... seems like you were where I am just a short time ago...

AFM, everytime I say this on here I end up jinxing myself but.. I ATE yesterday and felt the urge to throw up quite quickly, but it passed and I went to bed feeling fine. This morning, I ate again - felt kinda queasy, but..it passed. I did take some Zofran today, early early this morning - but haven't had any since. Please oh please oh please be letting my m/s ease up. DH's school was cancelled yesterday and today because of Hurricane Sandy. While we didn't have a whole bunch of damage HERE (I live about an hour from the ocean), where DH works is at the shipyard, so he's on the water and they had a lot of flooding. Norfolk floods when it sprinkles anyway LOL He got sent home early yesterday. I'm not used to having him home every night like this - yesterday I worked for 12 hours (and was EXHAUSTED) and when I got home I stared at him for awhile. Just...stared. I know he thinks I've lost it sometimes...LOL So anyway, not much going on. I have to go into work tomorrow on my day off...they think that vendors will be rolling in because a lot of them didn't work Monday. Everytime they've had me work on a Wednesday to "make up" a day - I end up getting paid for 5 hours of sitting on my butt. Thursday will be my last work today before I leave for the mountains! I'm SO friggin excited! WOOT!

Jina - Oooooh, New Orleans sounds awesome! I've never been, but I have heard that it is a blast. I hope that you guys have a wonderful time, and you must take lots and lots of pictures for us.

:woohoo: for M getting the room primed and the first coat of paint done for the nursery. Ugh, our spare room is still FILLED with crap. I'm trying not to stress since I know that DH will have several weeks off in December to get everything done (plus the whole week before Thanksgiving) but it still makes me nervous that *nothing* is happening yet. On the other hand, ITA with Lynn, if, worst case scenario, it wasn't done by the time the babe was born, we would make it work. They spend a lot of time in the bassinette in those early weeks anyway.

Jessica - I'm so glad that you had a good morning sickness day today. Everything crossed that you are finally getting past your morning sickness once and for all. I'm so glad to hear that you are safe from Hurricane Sandy. I can't believe some of the pictures that we have been seeing on the news. That's scary about your DH's shipyard being flooded, but at least you are safe there at your home.

That is odd about your friend. Is she close to her boyfriend's mom?

AFM - We had a GREAT time in FL, but it was non-stop go go go the whole time, so I am super tired now. We spent the night with my ILs on Thursday night. On Friday, I got up at 3:45 am so I could shower and get everything done before we left. We left the house a little after 4:30 am. Our flight left Denver around 7 am. Blah! We basically traveled all day, and finally got to our resort in Sarasota at about 6 pm. We had to hurry up and change really quick, and then get to the synagogue for Friday night dinner. On Saturday, we had to be back to the synagogue at 9:30 am for the bat mitzvahs, and then we had lunch there. After that, we took T to the beach and swimming all afternoon. It was really windy because of Sandy, but we are landlocked in CO, so we were NOT going to miss the opportunity to hang out on the beach over a little wind. Saturday night, we went to the big party celebrating the bat mitzvahs. T had a GREAT time playing with his cousins at the party. On Sunday we drove back to Orlando, and spent about a half a day at Disney's Animal Kingdom. On Sunday, we spent all day at the Magic Kingdom, and a lot of the cousins met us there (they were supposed to fly home, but they were grounded because of Sandy so they decided to go to Disney World with us instead.) Today we just traveled home. I am BEAT! But, T had a great time so that was worth it. I will try to post some pictures tomorrow.
