Food. I love food. I felt pretty good at the end of my work day today so I figured I'd make DH dinner (NOT frozen pizza) ... yeah..so, I get halfway to get a cart, start feeling sick again and ended up getting Chicken Voila. Haha. Hey, it wasn't pizza!
-
Jina - Oh my gosh, so sorry that you got sick!!! I don't blame you for not wanting to throw out all of that food you just bought. What a waste of money and food! I hope that you're feeling better today. Does your home owners insurance cover your freezer? Unfortunately I don't think ours covers appliances, but hoping you have a better policy than us. :)
Babywings - I don't think you should feel bad about not cooking, especially with as sick as you've been. I'm not that sick (just get a little gaggy from time to time), I'm just super tired, and I still am only cooking a real meal about every other day (and I've been home all week, so in theory I totally could have gotten my butt up and cooked at some point, I'm just too tired and queasy to care. lol) I'm sure your hubby understands. He sounds very sweet. I've never tried one of those Voila meals, are they good?
AFM - Today is the last day I have off work (other than the weekend, which I would have off anyway.) :crybaby: I am spending the day watching Grimm on Demand (DH's cousin-in-law is on that show and we've never watched it so I want to see!) and going to lunch with my SIL. There is an awesome Vietnamese place by her office that I love desperately (Vietnamese may be my fav genre of food) so we are doing lunch there. That place is sooooo good, and I hardly ever go because there are so many places that are closer, if not quite as good. They have this seitan dish that I seriously crave. Other than that, taking it verrrrry easy and letting baby cook in peace. lol Hope everyone has a great day.

Babywings, I love food too. I wish I wasn't so vein or lazy or that I can eat all I want without guilt! lol Yay for not grabbing the frozen pizza! Have you thought about making crock pot meals? It's been a life saver for me. I used to use my crock pot once or twice a year but now I use it 1-3 times a week! But, yeah, I remember not being able to really stomach any "real" food in the first trimester. It was mostly toast and bananas for me with tons of take-out which I promptly threw back up! Ahhhh...the joys of 1st trimester, right? All worth it in the end! :D
Alissa, no, I don't think so. I'll have to check but I'm pretty sure we're on our own for appliances. I think we're just going to order a new circuit board and Hubby will probably just replace it himself. Or I'm just going to sell this house and move! LOL JK....I wish! We're probably going to stay here for at least another year or two.
Awww....I'm sorry your vacation is almost over. I'm glad you had the week off though to relax and take it easy. How cool about your DH's cousin-in law! Is s/he one of the main characters? Oooh! Enjoy lunch with your SIL. Vietnamese food sounds soooo good. I love Vietnamese food. Have fun today and grow that baby! ;)
AFM, So, Hubby has to work (from home) all weekend. I guess there's some big project going on at work. I swear I think he might me crazy. It's like the busier he is the happier he gets.
Anyhoo, I received one of the pairs of maternity jeans I ordered. I tried them on and oh my freaking heaven. I love them. They are so comfy. I ordered my normal size and there's a bit of stretch to them but hopefully my butt and thighs won't get very big because there's really not a whole lot of room to grow. The only thing about these jeans is that they kind of make my little pouch look bigger than it really is and I'm not sure if I like that. lol
So, for dinner last night I ate half of a rotisserie chicken slathered in barbeque sauce. I also had a giant bowl of salad with for dinner last night I ate half of a rotisserie chicken slathered in barbeque sauce. I also had a giant bowl of salad with hampaign dressing. YUM! I don't know why but I was really craving chicken with barbeque sauce and a giant bowl of salad. It was sooo good. I want some more! lol
Anyone have any fun plans for the weekend? We're probably going to be home most of the weekend. I just have a few errands to run but other than that I plan to take it real easy. I figure once baby is here I won't be able to just laze around and sleep in so I might as well take advantage while I can!

Hey everyone I decided to come hang out some now that I'm working from home I have a little more posting time than I did before.
Jina - your jeans will be fine...I'm having twins and really nothing in the thighs/legs until this week really and I'm pretty sure it's all swelling. I believe had I been having a singleton I'de have no issue at all.
Alissa - So sorry you have to go back to work, I'm counting the days till I can stay home for a while with the babies :)
Babywings - I completely understand the food issues. I was nauseaus sick till 20 weeks then developed food reactions to tomatoes, onions, garlic and alot of raw vegetables for the remainder of my pg....I am so tired of eating bland boring plain food. I can't wait till my tummy is back to normal with food :).
-
Danny - Onions and Garlic on your no-no list? AHH! I've been basically cramming down my throat whatever I want. It all comes back up anyway, might as well enjoy it on the way down. (However, when it does come back up, I'm always like...WHY DID I EAT THAT??) lol
Alissa - going back to work sucks..lol I LOVE Vietnamese. I've only had it twice, but it was soooo good.
Jina - I keep putting off going shopping. I desperately need a new bra and some bigger pants, I keep walking around with them unbuttoned..lol. But I'm scared I'm going to jinx myself and the baby if I buy clothes (I know that's weird).
AFM, today was the first day at work that I stayed and got everything accomplished. My boss was pushing me out the door at the end. Nurse gave me Zofran and it worked miracles! I didn't get it until 9am, (I go in at 4am), so I had 5 hours of pleasedontthrowuppleasedontthrowup...nononono...$h it. Haha. Anyway, I'm home now and going to cook DH some dinner. The chicken voila was good, but definitely not a "homemade" meal. DH may work this weekend, if he does I dunno what I'll do. I've been invited to hear a band play down the street on Saturday night, so I may go to that. Checked my bank account this morning, something was wrong so I checked my paycheck - yeah, there's a garnishment on it. I've NEVER been garnished. SO I called and it's from a credit card that me and my ex had 7 years ago. Apparently he didn't pay it off, like he said he would. 100 bucks a week - gone - until November. *groan*
-
Babywings - so glad that the Zofran worked for you! Do you know if your insurance covers it? That is AWFUL about the garnishment from your wages! Is there no way to make your ex pay for it like he was supposed to?
Danny - Yay! So glad that you are joining us!!! How are you feeling these days?
Jina - So glad you got a pair of maternity jeans that you like! Haha about your pouch. It's going to get a lot bigger before it gets smaller...best get used to it. ;) I'm sure you look super cute. I'm trying to imagine a petite girl like you eating an entire half a chicken and giggling to myself. You are definitely pregnant! LOL
DH's cousin is married to Bree Turner who as I understand it is going to be a regular and a love interest on Season 2 of Grimm. I think she plays some kind of werefox. I haven't seen her yet. :)
-
Alissa - they gave me generic Zofran. It was only 8 bucks for 30 pills.
My ex declared bankruptcy, is 10 years older than me, lives with his mom and has the money to pay the bill. However, the less I talk to him the better. I don't "hate" a lot of people, but he's one of them. I'll just get garnished. It'll be worth it in the end.
-
I'm so glad you were able to get the medication that you need affordably! That is great news!
I understand about not even wanting to deal with your ex....
So what did everyone do this weekend?
Friday night we went to dinner at my ILs house. On Saturday DH took T to a Rockies game, and I stayed home and rested. This afternoon I think T and I are going to go see ParaNorman. :) Anyone else have anything fun going on?
-
DH had to work this weekend, so I got home from work yesterday (I only work like 5 hours on Saturday) and started fixing everything we needed for the cookout. I caught the stove on fire, that was fun. Today, I slept on and off until 1130! That's craziness. I could totally go back to sleep now. Don't have anything planned for today, I need to wash DH's work clothes. But other than that, think I'm just gonna chill on the couch. My brother is at work today until 6, DH won't be home until 3 (or 5, depending on when he gets off) and .. it's just me and the dogs and noooo noise. Ahhhhh

Hi guys
Babywings that really sucks he won't oapay his bill but what can you do. hopefully the zofran helps, I would not have survived without nausea medicine!
Alissa I,ve not watched Grimm, is it worth catching up on?
Jina you are cracking me up with your food craving. since there is o much I can't eat right now, I enjoy reading about your meals.
AFM tough couple of days, high protein on Fri at specialist and they suspectearly signs of pre eclampsis. Also started contracting yesterday, not regular intervals but enough to be uncomfortable. Taking 24 hr protein test now and bloodork then doc tomorrow.
