Back from the doctor. He gave me another blood test to make sure the HCG is down to 0 and a rhogam shot. After we talked he sent me to the office manager to schedule the test Alissa was talking about. However the test is done in the hospital and would cost more than $1,000. This is not something I can afford to have done. It would not really change things anyway. I am not going to have my tubes re-tied regardless of what the test would show. I wish I could know what happened, but not $1,000 wish I could know.

Bonita, wow, I am so sorry that your MIL betrayed your trust like that. That's one of the reasons why I despise facebook and want no part in it - too much drama and some people seem to get a little kooky about it and post inappropriate things. :(

I'm sorry your insurance company won't pay for your HSG. I wonder why, though? I mean, I would think that in your case it is a medically necessary test. My insurance covered my HSG. You should call your insurance provider or have your OB call and find out for sure. I know it wouldn't change things but I'm sure it would be best for you and your doctor to know exactly what is going on with your tubes. Just because they came "untied" does not mean there isn't a future risk for an ectopic. What if they're just partially "untied"? I'm really not trying to scare you but am frustrated for you that your insurance company thinks the procedure isn't necessary . ((((HUGS))))

Alissa, Thanks! I can't believe I'm in my third trimester already. Geez...where did the time go? GL with your GD test! I'm sure you'll pass with flying colors since you've been on the GD diet from the beginning. :D

Ahhh! Don't scare me about the EPI not working! lol I'm really not putting too much thought into D day and now I feel like I should do more to prepare. I'm just not ready to think about that yet!!!! :eek:

It is not my insurance company saying they would not pay for it. The office maneger at the doctor's office said that test is radiology and you have to pay your deductible first which is $1,000. She said it would take the whole $1,000. I guess I could always call and ask.

About having an epidural, I think they are a blessing. With Alyssa I had to have one because my blood pressure was so high I had to have one as pain makes your BP go up. I would say her birth yes it hurt, but there are many things in life that I have had done that hurt worse. I did not cry or scream. With Brianna, I was only in labor for 4 hours. I had an epidural, but it did not take full effect until after I had her. There again it hurt, but nothing unbearable. With Caitlyn, they were trying to stop the labour because I was so early. I was sleeping. Woke up feeling like I needed to have a BM. Nurse checked me and I was 10. Doctor came to check me and she popped out. No more painful than a constipated BM. Have have had 3 fast easy births. I have people say that is only fair because my pg's are so bad.

Bonita - I agree with Jina. I am very surprised that your insurance wouldn't cover an HSG, especially in your case. You could be potentially risking a life threatening ectopic pregnancy. My insurance policy (which is not great, as some of you may know) paid for mine, and I wasn't even in a potentially life threatening situation, I was just trying to find out why I had had 2 miscarriages. I would fight that if I were you.

Edit: Just read what you posted - so you have a deductible that you haven't met yet? That makes more sense, but is a shame. :(

(((HUGE Hugs)))) for feeling bad that you are the one with the health problems that counterindicate a pregnancy. That is such an awful feeling. But you know what, you gave your DH 3 beautiful healthy little girls, and I also bet that your health is his number one priority, way over having any more babies. I'm sorry you are feeling that way though. (((Hugs)))

Jina - Haha, sorry about putting that idea in your head. I think it is fairly rare that they don't work, so I wouldn't worry too much about it if I were you. I'm just personally worried for myself since I'm scared that it is something to do with my own body, like the epi was put in correctly, and my personal body is just too dumb to know when pain meds are being pumped into my spine. :lol:

Oh my gosh, I am so excited that you are getting so close to meeting your baby boy! Only 12 more weeks, maybe even less! I can't believe how fast time has gone by. Sooo freaking exciting. :)

LOL AFM - Please don't judge me for this, but I am going to see the Twilight movie today. :lol: Okay, I am not really that huge of a fan that I have to see it opening night, but a coworker of mine is friends with someone who works for a marketing company. As part of some sort of marketing thing, they rented out an entire theater and are doing the movie plus free drinks and appetizers for $5.50, which is a pretty great deal. A bunch of my coworkers and I are going. So I think it will be fun, although as a 32 year old woman I do feel pretty silly going to see a movie about teenaged vampires on opening night. :lol:

Bonita, having a high deductible really sucks. I have one for 800 and I'm still paying the docs from my ectopic earlier this year. I hope you find a way to get your answers.

Jina, I can't believe you're 28 weeks!! Seems like yesterday you were saying you hadn't popped yet..and now look at you!

Alissa, I tried really hard not to judge you for seeing Twilight. Honest I did. But it didn't work. LMAO Sounds like you'll have a good time, regardless of what movie - I'd have gone for the appetizers and drinks lol.

Bonita, I see. Ugh! I hate having a high deductible as well. My last insurance had a 2K deductible which I met but now we have new insurance so I have to meet their 2K deductible this year and next year. :rolleyes: Stupid insurance companies! I hope you are holding up okay today and know that we are all here for you. (((((HUGS)))))

Not much going on today. I'm feeling really tired today. I don't think I got good sleep. I got up at 4am to pee and saw that Hubby was still up working on his laptop! I'm pretty sure he kinda sorta kept me up most of the night. Ugh! He is such a crazy workaholic. I swear one of these days he's going to crash and sleep for weeks!

I am beyond in shock. Doctor's office called back. Not only did my numbers not drop they doubled...

OMGosh, that is crazy! Will you get another beta and u/s done?

Such an emotional time! I do not know what have caused the numbers to drop and go back up again. I know it is not a new pg. I think the only other options are that it was twins and one died and one is still there, or that it is an ectopic pregnancy.

He made an appointment for in 2 weeks. (I think he thinks it is a new pg. I know that it is not as I have not done any business since first finding out I was pg)
