Jina, glad you are feeling better! and LOL about your hubby knowing you didn't paint a pic of your dog. I've been with my husband for almost 3 years total, but only married for 8 months. I totally think I'd be able to slide it by him that I painted something, even if I didn't...and then act like it's some hidden talent LMAO I haven't even started Christmas shopping. It's going to be really really tight around here this month - DH keeps getting sent home from work because they don't have anything and my bro moved out so I'm losing that money. Since this is the first month with no money from my brother (or his dad, we used to get child support because he was in school) we're being VERY frugal just to make sure everything gets paid. We might be fine, but we're just being very cautious, just in case.

AFM, I went into work on time today, which doesn't ever happen. I'm scheduled to go in at 4am, but I usually make it closer to 5. There's no point for me to go in early...and it's not like I can "do" anything until 530 when my dept actually opens. Anyway, I went in..played on Facebook (LOL) and realllllllly took my time today. I managed to squeeze 8 hours out of it...I didn't think I'd make it. I'm SO bored some days in there, I really have to stop being so quick. (Yes, that's an ego). I got home, my neighbor comes over and tells me they're going to rent out the house beside me. First she told me that they were going to rent out the house two houses down and it had 6 bedrooms (!) and they were gonna rent it for only 50 bucks more than we pay here. Then she tells me nevermind, she's going to rent out the house beside me (they're both hers) for 150 more than we pay here. I was like, um...okay? She wants DH and I to move and ...I want to, but the house that was only gonna be 50 bucks more is bigger and has a fenced in back yard. WHY would she go up ANOTHER hundred dollars for a smaller house with no fenced backyard? Doesn't make much sense. She was pleading with me to drop my lease and move over there LOL. I'm not that kind of person though. Even though DH and my landlord butt heads a lot. But then my landlord is a jerk, so.... Besides that, I dont think we can afford another 150. I dont think we'll stay here another year, however. I like the neighborhood and the neighbors, but.. I dunno, we'll see.

Jina - Haha, that made me laugh about trying to take credit for a painting and calling it your own and your hubby not believing you.

The good news is, the painting turned out great.

The bad news is, that person that posted that you can paper mache a tracing onto canvas and just paint over it done me wrong. I left it at my SIL's house, and she said that the tracing (basically the whole dog) is curling up and off as the whole thing dries. :cryinghard: So, plan B. I was telling DH's cousin's wife about the whole thing. She minored in Art and is a great artist. She seemed pretty concerned with my plan (which, in retrospect should have been telling) and offered to help me if I need it. I guess she has a projector that you can use to "trace" onto the canvas but without having to fool around with tracing paper, so we are going to see what it is like when it is finally 100% dry (I need to call SIL because it probably is dry by today) and then enlist the cousin in law (and her projector) to redo it if need be.

I'm so glad that you are finally feeling better illness wise, but sorry that you are still tired. I hear you though. I fell asleep in T's room when I was putting him to bed at 8 pm on Friday. DH came and got me when he went to bed around 10, and I just washed my face, took out my contacts, brushed my teeth, and then went straight back to bed and slept through until morning. Then last night I was at my parents' house watching old Christmas movies (Rudolph, Frosty, stuff like that) and I fell asleep sitting in a chair at like 7:30, so they sent us home. I'm sure we'll both feel so much more well rested once the babies get here.....oh wait.....:lol:

Jessica - When is your lease up? I remember it does sound like you've had problems with this landlord from the beginning, so hopefully once your lease is up you'll be able to find something even better for your family. I think that is a smart move to be frugal until you are sure about your finances. Christmas is a nice time of year, but the most important thing about Christmas (IMO) is just being with your loved ones and appreciating them and that doesn't take any money at all. :)

AFM - Oh. Em. Gee. I just had the WORST time at T's Channukah party. Is that mean to say out loud? Oh well, I wouldn't ever say it to him, but I'm still going to say it here. LOL I do NOT know what T's deal was today. We had a good time in the beginning. The party was at his preschool, and I took some time off work so I could go. He was excited to see me, and we ate latkes and made a craft and he gave me a special handmade present which was very sweet. But then. He was playing with some blocks, and I was just sitting back chatting with my MIL who also came, and then one of the other boys came up and tried to play with the same blocks (as in, wanting to help him build his thing he was building.) T hauled off and screamed "Noooooo" right in the kid's face. So of course, I'm like hells to the no, so I pull him out of the classroom out in the hall, and I'm telling him that we share and that yelling in someone's face is unacceptable, et cetera. So he starts BAWLING. Like, crying his eyes out. And, yes, I was "punishing him" (I was making him sit in time out) which I totally stand by, but from the way he was sobbing you would think that I had punched in the face and told him he was adopted or something. All of these parents and teachers kept walking by and asking if he was okay, and I'm mortified, like "yes, he's just in trouble for not sharing....I swear I don't beat or verbally abuse my child, this is just a huge over reaction....." BUT, even though he's in trouble and he knows it, he's still saying things like "I don't want him to play with those blocks, I was playing first, I didn't like it that he messed with my blocks" and I basically got to the point where I was straight up like "I don't care if you like it, you have to share. It's not optional." So finally, he stops crying and says he's ready to go back into class.

He doesn't usually react like that to "punishment" or for that matter to someone playing with the same stuff as him (he usually wants everybody to play with him) so no clue why he was suddenly freaking out.

So, we head back in the classroom, and the first thing he sees is that his tower got knocked down (because kids are still playing with all of the blocks. He totally goes to peices again. I'm standing there like "Buddy, you can rebuild it, or build something new, it's just blocks..." In the meantime, he is sobbing at the top of his lungs, people keep coming up to ask if everything is okay, all that. THEN, he kicks one of the blocks. And again, I'm like "Oh no no no, we do NOT kick things." So I made him pick up all of the blocks that were not in use, and in the mean time he is sobbing and yelling and totally freaking out, and I keep saying things like "unacceptable" and "we do NOT (kick things, yell, throw a fit)". Blah.

Finally, he got everything picked up, so I took him over to the reading corner, so we could talk and I could distract him by reading him a book and whatnot. We talked about why he was throwing a fit over blocks, and I talked to him about sharing and and not throwing hissy fits, and I felt like we finally got to a better place. We even went over and he apologized to the kid for screaming in his face. Then I read him a book, and he seemed much calmer. But then.

I had to go back to work, so he immediately starts sobbing and clinging to me again. This is also not normal behavior; normally he loves school and could not care less when I leave. Finally the teacher had to come over and pick him up and hold him while I said good bye.

He does NOT normally act like that. So now I'm totally drained, and how sick is this, some part of me feels bad for "ruining his Hannukah party." I totally didn't ruin it, he did! But I still feel that way. Bleh, drained.

I apologise for not reading all of the previous posts.

I just got back from the HSG. The technician would not tell me anything and I was not sure what I was supposed to be looking for so I still do not know anything. I am hoping my doctors office will call me with results.

I hope you find out soon Bonita. Could you see if the dye was flowing through the tubes, or no? If they looked "blocked" that would indicate that they are still "tied."

Ugg, I lost my last post.

I think in my uneducated opinion one side was completely blocked and the other side had a little dye coming from it. I saw one picture on-line that looked similar to what I saw. I will try to post a picture.

This is not exactly the same, in that I did not see anything on the other side, but not a ton on the right side either.

So much for understanding the test myself. Doctors office just called. My tubes are completely blocked and he has no idea how I could have gotten pregnant in the first place. If there were a tiny pin whole so small that it was not showing up on the test, the only possibility would be a tubal.

Bonita, :bigarmhug::bigarmhug::bigarmhug: I'm sorry you had to go through all this. I'm glad you finally got some answers though. Is your doctor planning on investigating further to see why you were getting all those positive pregnancy tests? Also, did your doctor have any suggestions on how to prevent another tubal? (((HUGS)))

Jessica, lol at being able to pass off a painting as your own! I so wish I could do that...lol. :D I agree with Alissa, I think it's smart to be frugal as well. It's good that you guys will have all the finance part figured out before baby girl comes. I agree with Alissa (again!) that Christmas isn't about gifts...it's about family and friends. Now that I'm older I just don't really get the point of giving each other gifts when all it really does is stress people out...you know? I'm sure I'll change my mind in a few years when baby boy is old enough to get excited about Christmas but, for now, I kinda wish the adults in my family would agree to not exchange gifts. :rolleyes:

I wonder if the house next to you has been updated inside and that's why she's charging more. Maybe you could ask her to drop the price? When is your lease up?

Alissa, holy cr@p girl, you had one h3ll of a day! I'm so sorry T was acting up like that and at a party too! Maybe it was just too much excitement for him and he was just having an off day. I'm sorry that you guys both had a bad day yesterday and hopefully you guys are both doing much better today. You totally handled the situation better than I would have for sure. I think I would have lost it and started sobbing with him! lol Ugh! :bigarmhug::bigarmhug:

The painting looks wonderful!! I absolutely love it! I sorry it's not drying well...did it make it? What did your sil say? I think your DH will be pretty amazed with the painting! Seriously! :D:D

AFM, I'm having pretty bad sciatic pain. I can barely walk....this sucks! Ugh...it's just one thing after another...lol. Oh well, just 8 more weeks (hopefully!) and I can have my body back! Baby boy is getting pretty big, I think. Every time he moves my whole stomach moves and bounces around. I sometimes have a lopsided belly....lol. Strangers notice and their eyes are bugging out staring at my belly. I hate that people seem to stare at my belly all the time...it makes me feel really self-conscience for some reason. Anyone else?

Bonita - Hugs girl, you have been through so much. Does he think that anything else could have caused all of those positive pregnancy tests?

Jina - I totally agree with you about not seeing the point of exchanging a bunch of presents as adults. It's stressful and expensive, and we already have everything we really need anyway. My brother called it "buying stuff just for the sake of buying stuff" and he is dead on. Actually, my mother approached me a couple of days ago to ask if it would be okay if all of the adults in our family stop exchanging gifts next year, and I said yes please. LOL I guess it was my brother's idea, but he put my mom up to asking me about it. LOL So as of next year, our kid only policy goes into place, and I am happy as a clam about it.

Ugh, sorry that your sciatic nerve is giving you pain! I have occasionally get sciatic pain if I am physically tired and have been doing a ton of bending and lifting (like, cleaning all day long) and that is awful! It makes it hard to walk! This pregnancy has been physically challenging for you, but it will all be so so worth it in the end. I can't wait to see pictures of your little guy. I can't believe you only have about 8 more weeks to go! After 30+ weeks, 8 seems like nothing!

I just sent a text to my SIL asking how the painting is doing (I forgot yesterday.) She came back and said "It either needs a touch up or there is plastic stuck to it." I'm not sure why the "either or" scenario, but I do know where the plastic came from. Once the dog part started curling up, she wrapped plastic wrap around it to help it dry flat. Guess we'll have to do a damage assessment this weekend...

AFM - I am happy to report that Tristan went back to being a normal non-psychotic child last night. LOL He was cheerful, affectionate, listened, did everything I asked without a fight. So hopefully whatever glitch he was dealing with yesterday morning is behind us now. It had better be. I'm taking him to his school's Hannukah Festival tonight after work. They have bouncy castles, games, crafts, a (small, indoors) train ride, and dinner (spaghetti and salad) and Hannukah jelly doughnuts and cookies. So it's all set to be a fun time, assuming he is a good boy. Otherwise, I will haul his butt out of there so fast it makes his head spin. :p

PS - Has anyone noticed that those "How Big is Baby" tickers from the Bump seem to have gotten stuck? I have one on my April Space, and it has said "papaya" for 3 weeks running now! And Jina, I bet yours stays at "squash" tomorrow. The outrage! LOL

Anyway, hope everyone is having a good day and an uneventful week. :)
