Lynn, Hi!! How are you? How is your sister? I hope you guys are well. I'm glad to see you here....I was wondering about you. About the pump, um....not really sure? lol I'm going to be a sahm so I don't think I'll need to pump a whole lot but I wanted to get the Medela PIS because I've heard lots of good things about it. I'm glad to hear that the pump is still going strong.

Alissa, Yay for such an awesome u/s!!!

Oh my gosh, the dinner your DH made sounds delish! Recipe please! Yay! I hope you like the salsa chicken.

That's too bad that the pump stopped working but it sounds like you got a lot of use out of it. I'm hoping that it'll last through 2 kids...hopefully!

Thanks for letting me use the siggy line. I tried to fit it in but I'll have to work harder at it. I don't want to delete anything just yet, though....I feel like I'm going to jinx myself, STILL. I'm crazy...lol.

AFM, I felt baby AGAIN!! It was a lot stronger this time and there was no doubt it was baby boy! I think he was rolling/punching /kicking or something! I even felt it on the outside! LOL...I'm in heaven!!! I immediately IMed Hubby and he was really upset that he has to go to class tonight. He said he wanted to come home right away and inspect. LOL

Jina - for feeling baby move again! That is soooo exciting! I bet you are going to start feeling it more and more now, and soon it will be every day. Are you showing yet? I just can't imagine seeing a perfectly flat belly roll with a baby inside of it.

Yahoo for baby movement Jina! It's the best feeling

AFM, we went to visit my grandparents over the holiday weekend. It was a nice visit...I was sad to have to leave.

My sister had a d&c friday afternoon. Everything went smoothly and that part is behind her at least. I haven't talked with her since but I think we are going up to visit this weekend. It's just an hour and a half trip so we are able to get together fairly often, which is nice.

I'm just waiting for AF now, which should be showing up in about a week and a half. I'm not temping but am mostly keeping up with signs and I'm pretty sure I O'd either friday or saturday. DH and I haven't BD'd since last weekend with our opposite schedules during the week and traveling this weekend. So it was like 6 or 7 days before I o'd...my chances are slim to none. I just hope the witch shows when I'm expecting so I can get on with JLIH when there is actually a possibility of it happening. I'm ok with it since it would be nice for my sister and I to get a chance to be successfully pregnant together.

Alissa, I don't think I'm showing very much yet. Here are some belly pics. I've put on 7.4 lbs so I'm definitely bigger but no real bump yet.

Hubby had his hand on my tummy for a while last night and baby boy started moving around a lot and Hubby got kicked on his wrist! I'm sooooo in love. I'm seriously in LOVE with my baby boy. Feeling him move around is THE best thing in the world right now.

Lynn, I'm glad you had a nice visit with your grandparents. Do you live close to them? I hope you have a good visit with your sister this weekend. I'm sure it'll be nice to talk to someone in real life that knows exactly what you are going through. ((hugs))

I hope AF shows on time or better yet, I hope she stays away for a long time! Just an FYI - I've gotten pregnant by BD'ing 5-6 days before O so it IS possible. I think it would be amazing for you and your sister to be pregnant again together. I hope you get a sticky bfp soon!!

AFM, I'm still very tired and tired of complaining about being tired. LOL

I'm making crock pot honey sesame chicken tonight and I'm really looking forward to that. Sesame chicken is Hubby's favorite Chinese dish. The crock pot recipe is much healthier than the regular version since I don't have to deep fry the chicken. I've read raving reviews for this recipe for hopefully it's really good! I'll try to take a pic for the recipe thread.

We ran out to rent a movie last night and I decided that I had to have a chicken McNuggets Happy Meal so I made Hubby go through the drive through for me. It was a BIG mistake because I threw it back up and it as GROSS. lol ~sigh~

Anyway, I hope everyone is having a good Thursday morning!

Jina - You should post the Crock Pot Sesame Chicken recipe in the recipe thread. I am definitely looking for more crock pot recipes because it is so nice to just turn them on and leave it and have a hot meal ready for dinner.

Speaking of crock pot recipes, DH your saucy salsa chicken was a HIT in my household! Actually, I was a little disappointed because I thought I would be able to bring the leftovers today at lunch, and DH ate it all so there weren't any leftovers. I was SHOCKED at how much he ate. DH is a big guy (about 6'3) and he works out almost daily, so he's always hungry, but he seriously ate 3 HUGE burritos. T had half of one, I had one normal sized one, and he ate the rest. So I'd say it was a hit!

That is so wonderful that you are feeling baby boy move now, and that M was able to feel too. I bet he was so excited. What a wonderful time in your life!

Lynn - That would be so amazing to be pregnant at the same time as your sister, and to be able to lean on each other for support. I really hope you both get your BFPs soon. Then you should introduce her to PO and this board, if she isn't a member already.

AFM - So sleepy today. I would love nothing more than to go home and take a huge nap. T woke up at 5:45 this morning!!! DH was already downstairs (as a teacher, he goes to work hella early) so I made the mistake of letting T get in bed with me on DH's side, thinking he would just go back to sleep. Nope! He wiggled and tossed and moved no matter how much I kept telling him to go back to sleep and kept us both awake until it was time to get up. Arrrrgh. I don't usually get up until about 6:30-6:45, so now my butt is totally dragging. I bet he's going to be totally exhausted and cranky tonight too.

Alissa, you asked (I dunno if it was here or not) if DH can cook once in awhile and give me a break. Yes, DH can cook. And usually it's really good. (He's awesomeeeee at breakfast!) But he leaves for work at 5, doesn't get home 'til 5 and wants to relax, not cook. Plus, he's at school three nights a week (like tonight) so he won't be home until almost 9. I try very hard to make sure he's got clean clothes and a hot meal, but I have been seriously slacking. I leave for work at 3 in the morning, but I'm usually home by 1230 and I get a nap in, so I'm generally good. I need to look at those crock pot recipes because it'd be nice not to have to scrounge around for dinner and/or tell him he's on his own..lol.
Jina, awesome about feeling the baby move! I hope it happens more often now - I can't wait for it to happen to me.
Lynn, I hope you and your sister are doing okay. And I hope you get a sticky BFP soon!

AFM, I've been completely miserable. I've been throwing up every day, all day since Saturday. I've managed to get to work, but I barely do what's required of me and then I leave. One of the managers at the store I'm at right now was complaining because I hadn't swept yet. Finally I just went off. I've worked with him before.. he usually leaves me alone. I ALWAYS sweep before I leave and it was hours before I left today. What's the point of sweeping when it's just gonna get dirty again before I leave? After I left I stopped by Wendys for a Spicy Chicken Sandwich - it was yummy! But I'm fighting it right now. I'm so tired of throwing up...and eating Saltines and drinking Ginger Ale doesn't help, so if I'm gonna throw up, I figure I might as well enjoy it on the way down. My mom keeps telling me two more weeks! Then it should start going away. Which is great. But not everyone's goes away at 12 weeks.

On a plus note - I'll be 10 weeks tomorrow! WAY farther than I've made it before. Plus it's my birthday.. plus I'm off this weekend. DH has already said it looks like he will be working, but that's okay because I WONT BE.

    Jessica,

I know how miserable the all the time sickness is. I lost 10 pounds in early pregnancy with DS1 and threw up multiple times a day for about the first half of the pregnancy. I hope it does get better for you as you wrap up the first tri but you are correct it doesn't always happen. For me, it was about 18 weeks with both my boys before I really started to feel better. Although it did improve some around 16 weeks but not really better.

Alissa, I'll post the Sesame Chicken recipe on the Recipe Thread today! Oh yay! I'm glad to hear that the Salsa Chicken was a hit! LOL@ your DH eating all of it. Wasn't it like the easiest thing ever to "cook"? The recipe is definitely a keeper over here too.

Yes, M was very excited for sure. We're both in awe at the idea that there is a tiny little human in my belly moving around. Kind of feels like a fish...lol.

Eeek! Sorry T woke up so early and kept you up. Does he do that often? I hope you were able to get some rest last night.

Jessica, ((((((HUGS))))))) I'm so sorry that you're feeling so miserable. I really really hope your m/s stops soon. Have you tried Seabands or B6? I hope you find some relief soon.

    Oh and Happy Birthday!!!!

AFM, Yay! It's FRIDAY! Anyone have any fun plans for the weekend? I don't think we have any plans or obligations so we're going to take it real easy. Well, I am...Hubby probably will probably work and study.

I've been really bad lately. I've been consuming about 50-100 mg of caffeine every other day or so. I cut it out completely for a looooong time but I've been so tired lately that I just NEED it! lol Anyone else drinking caffeine?

Jessica - Happy 10 weeks, and Happy Birthday! What a great present to have little babe just growing away in there. I'm sorry that you are still just feeling so awful. My doc told me last time that sometimes it is helpful with m/s to take half a Unisom tab and a B6 vitamin before bed every night. Not sure exactly what that is supposed to do, although Unisom by itself knocks you out a little. I really hope that you start feeling better soon. I know some women go longer, but hopefully you will be one of the women that gets done with m/s by no later than 12 weeks.

I understand about not wanting to make your DH cook after he's worked a long day. Still, if you're puking day in and day out, I'm sure he doesn't blame you for not being able to work up the will to cook very often. Ugh, when I'm sick, the very last thing I want to do is handle food. Blech. Hopefully it's only for a couple more weeks!

Lynn - Did they put you on anything when you were so sick?

Jina - Awesome, I will definitely have to check out your Sesame Chicken Recipe. Maybe I will make that on Sunday. I seriously think I am going to make your Chicken Green Bean casserole again on Saturday because it was super yummy and DH will be gone for dinner (going to a football game with his best friend.)

We don't have any plans so far for the weekend. I really need to clean our bedroom and bathrooms and put away a bunch of laundry, so I will work on that on Saturday I'm sure. Fun! Other than that, not much going on, which I am actually glad for. But NEXT weekend is going to be busy/fun. My dad and brother are going camping, so my mom called me to invite T and I to go to Manitou Springs, CO on Saturday. We are going to go out for breakfast and then drive to Manitou (about an hour and a half drive) and then take T to Santa Claus Land which has a ton of rides and activities for littler kids. Then we are going to walk around Manitou Springs (this ADORABLE little mountain town, full of all sorts of things like "Crystal Shops" lol) and go to dinner in Manitou Springs, and then spend the night in a cute little bed and breakfast there in town. We will have breakfast there, and then drive back to dinner on Sunday morning. Then on Sunday evening, Rosh Hoshannah starts, and we have a big family dinner to go to, where we may or may not announce the pregnancy to everyone, depending on how I am feeling.

    Hope everyone has great weekend!

Alissa, Mmmmm.....chicken green bean casserole is some good stuff! I'm going to make it again soon as well. Oh and I'm totally going to remember to add some sharp cheddar cheese!

Wow, next weekend sounds like a blast! Santa Clause Land looks so cute! Hehe...I bet T is going to have so much fun. Does he believe in Santa? Manitou Springs, CO looks like such a fun place to visit. It reminds me of Wimberley, TX. What a fun overnight trip and I bet you guys are going to have an amazing time.
