I'm doing well, just in that boring part of my cycle...FF predicts my fertile time to be next week. But since DH and I are more JLIH than TTC if I don't O early in the week my odds will not be good. During the week DH goes to bed before I get the boys in bed and is gone a couple of hours before I get up. So unless I wake him up after I go to bed or he wakes me up at like 3:30 in the morning there is no DTD during the week.
Jessica, lol about boring DH. I think my DH thinks I talk way too much...I'm sure I bore him plenty too.
Ladies.. DH and I are going through some problems. I don't think HE thinks it's anything, but I've spent the last two days bawling my eyes out. He came to talk to me last night and I thought we had resolved it, until today when I found out something else. We've only been married a few months...and now I have a baby on the way and I feel like my world is being turned upside down. Please send prayers/well wishes/good vibes/whatever you do my way. Thanks.
I'll just jump in here if you all don't mind! I read a little bit, but don't have a ton of time to catch up on it all at the moment, haha. I recognize a lot of you from other boards.
Nidia - We are like serious prego twins! I didn't realize you had a chemical last month. I did too. And then we're seriously like due date twins now. Wow!!
Lynn - Good luck this cycle! We were *sorta* JLIH too. DH and I seriously SUCK at JLIH though. Once we have it in our minds that we MIGHT make a baby, we go into total TTC mode. It's funny though... This cycle that we conceived, I didn't even think I had ovulated. I usually have a ton of EWCM and it's pretty obvious, but I had NONE that time. It got to CD24 and I started testing with HPT's. I didn't think I had even O'ed at all, but then I swore I saw the faintest nearly invisible lines on my tests. Over the next few days, I got a BFP, woohoo!
Jessica - I hope all is well. Not sure what's going on, but it sounds stressful.
AFM - I've been on vacation for the past week and I go back to work on Monday. I dread it. m/s is really starting to kick my butt, and I dread trying to stand at work for 8 hours with no breaks. Uuuggghhhh...
Vacation has been nice though. We spent a few days in northern Michigan visiting SIL and BIL. He's in the Coast Guard and they recently got moved up there. I love it. It all feels very remote... Lots of trees, the lake, etc. BIL was able to give us a private tour of his Coast Guard ship which was AWESOME. We're just spending the last few days at home resting.
Lynn - Good luck! I know you guys are JLIH and that the timing is not looking good, but I still hope that you all are struck by a sudden moment of middle of the night passion and make it happen. LOL!
Jessica - I'm sorry things have been a little rocky with your DH lately. I've heard that the first year of marriage is often the hardest because you are still kind of getting used to each other's quirks and whatnot, and then adding a pregnancy with all of the related hormones and stress and whatnot...but I hope that you guys are getting everything all worked out and that you are feeling better today.
Mary - Yay, so glad you're joining us on the chat thread! Your vacation sounds lovely, very peaceful and pretty. And it's nice that you get a few days to rest at home too! What do you do (like, for a job?)
AFM - I am home today since I took the time off to go to my u/s which was actually on Friday. LOL Oh well, it's nice to have the day off. I think I'm going to make Jina's Mexican beef stew from the recipe thread, once I finally get off my duff and go to the store. Had a nice weekend, visited with family and took it easy mostly. I am going to tackle the piles of laundry that need to be put away in our room today...fun!!!
Enjoy your day off!! Have fun putting away laundry, hahaha... My LEAST favorite task.
Jessica, I'm sorry you have to stay there even longer! Ugh! I'm so frustrated for you. (((HUGS)))
Sending lots of positive thoughts your way. I'm sorry you guys are going through a rough patch. I'm sure this is a stressful time for you and your DH. I know you guys will work though this and come out stronger than ever.
Alissa, I'm glad you had a nice relaxing weekend. Sorry about what happened on Friday with the u/s! LOL I'm glad they got you in pretty quickly and you got to see your darling little girl. AND you have the day off today! Yay!
Let us know how you like the soup!
Lynn, I have everything crossed for you!!!! Sending you TONS of sticky BFP vibes!!!!
Mary, Glad you're joining us!! It sounds like you had a nice vacation. The private tour you got sounds awesome! My Hubby loves ships (he was in the Navy briefly) and he always wants to go on private tours of decommissioned ships. I'm sorry you have to go back to work when you're suffering from m/s! Hopefully your doctor can prescribe you some meds so that you're not completely miserable all day every day. I hope you're having a good day today!
AFM, I am completely exhausted. I spent the entire weekend running around. On Saturday we made it over to Ikea to look for storage solutions. I was hoping for something "cheap" since hopefully this will only be temporary. LOL we somehow ended up spending over a thousand dollars. The good news is that the 2 floor to ceiling wardrobes we got are giving me back the closet space I'm losing in the nursery! Yay! Problem solved! We also had Ikea pick all the items and deliver them. So easy. Haha...until Sunday when we had to put everything together. Yuck! It took most of the day and we still haven't put the doors up yet. Maybe I'll post a pic of our monster wardrobes when we are finally finished. lol
I also got up really early yesterday and deep cleaned my kitchen. I don't know where I got the energy but I spent the entire day cleaning and organizing. I'm paying for it today though. I'm so freaking exhausted. I'm going to take it real easy today. I'm currently reading One Second After by William R. Forstchen. Sooo good. I'm about half way through it and my goal is to finish it today.
I hope everyone is having a good day today!!
Jina - I love IKEA. My mom and I went there once to see what furniture she could get. It's a LONG DRIVE from here. She ended up getting some picture frames with mirrors in the middle. I was like, really? We drove four hours for that? LOL
Alissa - If you ever feel the need to put up extra laundry, I ALWAYS have baskets lying around. I put up three baskets of clothes yesterday and there's STILL one in the floor.
Mary - my store has a pharmacy and what you described as your work day sounds just like the people that work over there, except our pharmacists work 12 hour days and only work 3 days a week. Hope standing for 8 hours doesn't hurt too bad .. I dunno how people do it. I HAVE to sit down sometimes..my back kills me.
AFM - ah...what a sucky sucky weekend. I cried ALL weekend long. I don't want to be played for a fool, but I don't want to not believe him if he's not lying either. I tend to over react and worry obsessively about everything. Without splashing everything that happened all over pg.org, I'll just say that something I saw looked suspicious, I threw it in his face and I was wrong but I'm now suspicious about everything. I just never thought I'd have these feelings with him. I'm trying to get my mind around the fact that I was wrong, but I guess I just keep having what-ifs go through my brain. THEN I burned myself bad on the oven. We went to a cookout yesterday with his family and I could hardly eat, but DH and I played basketball and at least I got out of the house.
I....am....horrible....at....basketball.... which I totally proved to EVERYONE yesterday...haha
Jessica, lol about the bball.
Sorry you are having suspicions. I have never been cheated on but I too would be on the lookout if I ever was given a reason to suspect anything. Just like you said, I wouldn't want to be played a fool. Didn't you say your ex cheated? I would think that would make it hard to trust even though your current DH isn't your ex, just having btdt would make it hard if you see anything suspicious. I'd say though if you haven't typically had issues not to trust him and this was an isolated deal, you have to let it go and trust him. I'm sure pregnancy hormones aren't helping either. ((hugs))
My DH and I are highschool sweethearts and we were together about 8.5 years before we got married. Just so we could both get through college. Even with our history, the first year or more of our marriage I had times where I felt very insecure in our relationship. It's a lot to adjust to. I hope you feel better soon.
Lynn, thank you for saying that. I was cheated on by my ex, yes. DH now - he was cheated on by his ex but he never cheated on her, even when he found out. So I just *knew* I had nothing to worry about. He spent most of the weekend swearing up and down that he hasn't done anything. I keep saying I'm gonna drop it, then keep not dropping it because I'm so...frustrated. Last night he got home from school and I said something about my moms husband. He has cheated on my mom multiple times that we know about and it all started with the internet. So, I said...you're not Randy....right? He got offended, lol. Said he was nothing like him because he hasn't cheated, he won't cheat, and he loves me way too much to let something stupid come between us. He's saying all the right things - he didn't talk to anyone on the internet, I do know that, but ...he could have. He was on a site that doesn't sit well with me. I told Id better not EVER see that site pop up again and he said ok. I'm okay with a lot of things, but that ONE site is a huge NONO. He acts like he loves me so much...all weekend he's been talking about what we are gonna do for Halloween. We haven't done anything in years, so I know he's saying it for my benefit. I hope I just over reacted and him being on that site was innocent. Like I said, nobody got talked too or emailed or anything like that...but it just ripped open all those old wounds from my ex. I hope each day gets a little easier and I can get back to trusting him..he's getting mad now because he didn't do anything and I'm still upset, so I know I need to back off. I guess I just like/need to hear everything he's been telling over the weekend. And no, being pregnant isn't making this any easier. Anyway, thanks for listening. I do appreciate it.
