Alissa, I hear ya about not nagging DH to clean up the kitchen when he's been busy elsewhere. I do the same thing, except DH is generally working on something like his car, vs a nursery.

AFM, last night didn't go as planned. It ended up okay though. DH doesn't have a checking acct (I have two, but he owes money to a bank and they won't let him onto my account), so we have to go to Walmart to cash his checks. Sometimes I just take his check and put it in my account, but I don't want to do that too much -they might catch on! LOL Anyway, it was super busy in there, people were returning all kinds of Christmas gifts. There was one cashier....and can I just say she wan't the nicest person ever. We finally make up to to her and she doesn't have any cash except 100's to cash his check, so then we had to wait for her to get change. I didn't feel too good when we left, I don't know if it's because DH stressed me out (he complained the entire time we were in line, I thought he was gonna start a riot) or just because. He decided we were going to go to the Chinese Buffet for dinner. Chinese has been 50/50 for me. Sometimes it stays down, sometimes it doesn't. So, we ate. I had a Pepsi with dinner and then they have this like...little donut things that are topped with sugar and I ate two of those...and I talked DH's head off! I hadn't had a soda in almost two days (I know, that's not VERY long, but for a caffeine junkie like me, it's reeeeaaaallll long!) and DH just laughed at me because obviously the caffeine was what was making me talk so fast. And the sugar. It was funny.

When we got home I threw up a little bit, but not everything. But, while we were sitting there, it just felt SO NICE to have a date night with him. We're ALWAYS at home and I am ALWAYS cooking, so it was a very very nice surprise.

So, just wanted to wish you ladies a Happy New Year! 2013 is the year for our babies! YAY!

DH said we might go over his moms house tonight. We went over there last New Years as well and played games and I drank Long Island Iced Tea. I remember thinking that the game got harder and harder to play - but in reality I just couldn't focus. That makes me sound like a drunk and let me assure you, I'm not. Nor was I.

Anywho, whatever your plans may be, hope you ladies have a great night!

Jessica - I'm here!!!!! LOL about finding yourself highly entertaining!

I'm sorry that you threw up some of your Chinese food, but so glad to hear that you had a nice date night out with your DH. That is the best! My DH and I actually went on a date night too, on Saturday. My ILs took T for the night, and we went and saw "This is 40" which is good, and then we went out to dinner. It was a really nice laid back night. It is so important to do those every once in a while!

Anyway, I hope that you both had a great New Years. Ours was pretty good. We had about 7 people over (DH's sister and her bf, and a couple of his cousins and their spouses or friends) and did a "game night" although we ended up gabbing so much that we only ended up playing one game the whole night. I actually made it to midnight, which shocked me. We had hot wings, a veggie tray and some different dips (ranch dip, hummus), baked brie with pesto, an artichoke tapenade type dip, and assorted crackers and pita chips. A couple of people brought cookies, and I also set out some nuts and chocolates. It was a nice time, although you could tell that we all ran out of gas at about 11:45, so we spent the next 15 minutes talking very quietly among ourselves waiting for the ball to drop.

Other than that, not much going on. I cleaned the crap out of my downstairs for the party, and then I cleaned our upstairs yesterday, so my house is actually spanking clean for once, which I love. Oh, and DH thinks he will finish painting T's new bedroom today, which means that we can start moving him over as soon as tomorrow, maybe, or at least by the weekend. Which means that we can start putting together the nursery soon! Whoot!

My New Years was pretty uneventful. DH called me around 4 and let me know his mom was coming over - and soon. I spent the next 30 minutes yanking undies away from my little girl dog (she loves to find them and drag them places, and then bring them out later!), organizing and tossing away the trash. DH made it home before his mom got here and he swept while I started dinner. I made cube steak with gravy, but we didn't have any flour so... I had to use packet gravy, but it turned out okay anyway. She got here, we talked and ate...then played Monopoly. She headed home around 9, DH and I were in bed by 915 LOL. Paaaaaarty! Glad you had a good time...and congrats for making it to midnight! LOL Did you want to come clean my house? I swear it stays messed up. I can't ever get ahead on laundry and DH and I wear uniforms, it's not like we have soooo many clothes. I cleaned the kitchen, DH cooked and messed it up. Twice. Actually, the problem is that I'm just being lazy LOL. I feel so tired all the time. I posted in April, that I WISH nesting would kick in... that should be awesome! LOL
And, finally, congrats on getting your nursery together! DH told me today that he may not have time to put the changing table together (he was going to build one, because I totally veto'd him making the crib)... but I already knew he wouldn't have time, so Im not mad.

Alissa, yay! so glad your DH is almost finished with T's room. Starting on the nursery should be fun! Ours is almost done. I'm just waiting for curtains to show up from Pottery Barn and some other random stuff I've ordered from here and there. Do you have a theme in mind?

Sounds like you guys had a nice laid back New Year's Eve. We spent it at home alone and it was really nice. We didn't even bother cooking anything nice or get any kind of sparkling juice...lol. We were totally lazy (M ended up working from home getting caught up with one of his customers) and it was so nice.

Yay for a successful date night and a clean house! I really want to go see the Hobbit but I don't think I can make it thrhough w/o having to pee every 30 minutes. lol Were you able to sit through the entire movie?

Jessica, yes, I still feel baby boy everywhere all. the. time. He is constantly moving and it's getting quite uncomfortable and painful. I can totally see his butt and his feel sticking out...lol. He also wakes me up a few times a night doing kick boxing or something. I have a feeling he's going to be a night owl like his dad...ugh!

Glad you guys had a nice date night. Mmmm...Chinese sounds really good. I wish there was a good buffet around here but the one I've been to was really small and the food was very meh. I could totally pig out on some good Chinese right about now. Talking about date nights and Chinese reminds me, M and I went out to eat last Friday to a new Sushi restaurant that also serves Korean food. We ended up ordering half the menu and waiter was like um...this is going to be A LOT of food! We were like, so?! just bring us the food...we're hungry! lol They ended up filling our entire table with yummy goodness and we ate every. single. bite. The waiter was impressed...but...geez...thanks for making us feel like pigs!

I bet nesting kicks in for you soon. Mine kicked in after 30 weeks.

AFM, I hope everyone had a wonderful time with family and friends! I had a lot of fun. We got to see family that we haven't seen in forever from Taiwan and Australia. It was really nice to see them and I can't wait visit them.

Oh and did I tell you guys that there are 4 cousins that are expecting in 2013? There's going to be bunch of new babies next year and it's going to be awesome!

I'm really exhausted these days. I'm working away on the nursery and it's almost finished. We've pretty much bought everything except for a few things here and there that I'll pick up soon. I'm going to start doing some baby laundry today. I also need to pick out a pediatrician. We have our birthing/newborn class this Saturday. The instructor is supposed to be at our house at 10. So, no sleeping in for us...darn! lol We also have our hospital tour that afternoon. I need to pack a hospital bag soon as well. Eeek! I'm going to be full term in less than 2 weeks! Where did the time go?!

Anyway, I hope everyone is having a great Thursday!

Jina, I hope you enjoy your newborn class. You made me LOL when you said the instructor would be there at 10 and you couldn't sleep in. When DH and I are off, we're up at 630 or 7 and that IS sleeping in for us! LOL That's exciting that there are four new babies coming! That'll probably be a big help when/if you need advice or a play date or something. Do you live near any of them? Glad you enjoyed your holidays and thanks for answering my questions about your baby boy moving.

AFM, well... my knee gave out while I was walking down the hallway at work. I didn't fall, but it hurt like a *&#^@. Then, of course, it happened like 5 more times today. It doesn't hurt while I'm walking and then BAM HUGE pain and I gotta find something to grab. I tried to keep it bent, it seemed like it happened more when it was straight. I dunno what that's all about. I sent DH a text and told him my body was falling apart and he sent me one that said he sliced open his finger at work and had to go have stitches. Nice. He's a lefty, it was on his left hand, but...he's more concerned about if he has to miss work. He's not home yet though, so I assume they kept him when he got back. He sent me a pic - I would have cried and cussed!! So, he got ten stitches. Poor guy. We just really never get a break. The same @$$hole guy that said I should go on birth control came in. He saw me getting up from my chair and I was rubbing my belly. It doesn't hurt, but it's *there* so I rub it. He said, "Should have kept your legs closed." I said, "You should really keep your mouth shut." He said, "I'm just sayin." I said, "No, I'm just sayin. Just because YOU don't have a wife and YOU don't have kids doesn't mean no one else wants any. So chill out with all your negativity. My husband and I are very happy we're having a child together, I don't need your input."
    Seriously? Jerk.

Oh, and then he gave me this look like I was a crazy pregnant lady. I just wanted to smack him.

Jina - You are so close now! I just can't even believe it!!!! I cannot WAIT to see pics and hear all about your sweet baby boy who will be here before we know it!

Have fun at your childbirth class. Haha, I laughed too when you said that you couldn't sleep in because your childbirth educator would be there at 10. LOLOLOL Get it while you can, because if your little guy is anything like T, 7:30 will be sleeping in.

You should post some pics of your nursery! I would love to see it!

We are just re-using the nursery stuff that we had for T since all of our stuff is still like new, and cute, and since babies don't mind. We will make him his own unique room once he is old enough to choose like we are doing for T (and will have to do again once we move!) So here is what T's room looked like, and will look like again for the new baby:

Light blue walls, with the outlines of animals stenciled in white at chest level in a line around all 4 walls. White curtains with a pattern of blue dogs, bones, and stars. A few animal prints on the walls. Crib bedding is white, blue, and brown, with stars and stripes. A glider with blue and white striped cushions. The one thing that I think I will make is wood letters to spell out his name to hang on the walls.

Jessica - Your poor DH! I hope his hand is okay! That is scary about your knee; you don't want to fall down! Take it easy, and maybe ice it a bit and see if that helps. I was having knee trouble earlier in the pregnancy, but it went away for some reason. I hope that yours goes away too.

I can't believe that guy said that to you!!!!! What a freaking JERK! Good for you for standing up to him. Some people are seriously unbelievable. Sheesh!

AFM - DH finished painting T's new room last night. I am really hoping that he will have moved all of T's stuff into the new room today, but I'm not going to be disappointed if he gave himself a day off. He still has tomorrow and the weekend, plus we still have another 3 months to get that stuff done. I'm just super happy that the paint is done.

Jessica, haha! M and I usually sleep in til about noon on the weekends. Well, I sleep in til about 10 on the weekends and M sleeps til noon or later if I let him. We're trying to enjoy it and take advantage while we still can!

It is pretty exciting! 3 of us live in the same city within 20 minutes of each other and the other lives in California. I'm really hoping that the cousins will all grow up together.

Sorry about your knee...ouch! I think our joints are pretty loose right now so maybe that's why your knee is acting up? Same thing happened to be a while back. I actually fell because my right knee gave out. It didn't hurt though, just felt really weird like jelly or something. Anyway, I hope you start feeling better. You should definitely mention it to your OB. Eeek! How is your DH's finger doing? I hope he's not in too much pain.

Wow, your co-worker sounds like a total douchbag. I mean, who says sh!t like that? I would definitely report him because that is totally inappropriate especially in a work environment. I'm seriously fuming here...ugh!

Alissa, I can't wait either. I'm getting pretty anxious here.

I promise I'll post pics of the nursery soon. I just need to get my butt in there and take some pics! I think that's a smart plan to re-use T's stuff for the nursery. I'm planning on doing the same with Baby Boy's stuff. Most of the big items are gender neutral so I can re-use them for the next baby. Anyway, I would love to see pics when you are done with both T's and Rocket's rooms. The nursery sounds like it's very soothing and totally cute for a baby boy!

Haha! Love that your DH is totally on a roll. Major points for your DH! You should reward him with cookies or something...lol.

AFM, I am totally exhausted, you guys! I did not sleep very well last night. I kept waking up because my leg and foot were cramping up. I also had to pee every hour or so because I had a really high sodium dinner. My uterus was cramping pretty bad as well. I actually have a headache this morning from not getting enough sleep. ~sigh~ I was really hoping to get away with not going through any of these uncomfortable 3rd trimester symptoms.....

Ugh! I'm trying desperately to find a pediatrician and I think I waited too long. My top choices are all booked up already! I guess I was supposed to have done this during my 6th month. Oops!

I have to go run some errands and it's cold and wet outside...gross. haha! I'm full of complaints today...can you guys tell that I'm grumpy?
