Jina - I posted on your BB, but I just wanted to tell you again how cute your nursery turned out (seriously, ADORABLE!!!) and also how great you look! Your bump is sooooo stinkin' cute. I'm sure you are getting nervous and excited for Baby Boy to get here - it's so soon now! I can't believe that it's been almost 40 weeks since you told me you got your BFP. I'm over the moon happy for you that your journey to hold your baby is almost at an end and he will be here so very soon. (got a little teary typing that!)

How is everyone else doing today?

AFM - I am doing well, just sleepy. T got me up at 5 am this morning. He said he had a bad dream, but I honestly think it's more just that he likes it when I lay with him, and he woke up for a moment and wanted that, so he yelled for me. I never really did get back to sleep, so I'm all bleary now. LOL Tonight we are going to dinner at this Italian place with my brother and SIL. They are supposed to be one of the best in town and have been featured on the Travel channel and everybody raves about them. It's just this little tiny place like 3 blocks from their house! But anyway, I have to go light on the pasta and bread, so hopefully they have other options like steak or fish.

Tomorrow morning I took a half day off to take T to Kindergarten Buddy Day at his new school. We're both excited about that.

Oh, Jina, I don't think I answered you. We are planning on putting our house on the market early this summer (once DH is out of school for the summer.) Hopefully it sells fairly quickly (like within a month or two) and then we'll buy a house in the district. We can't afford two house payments, so we can't buy a house until ours sells. The good news is that I know that either my mom and dad or my ILs would take us in if we have any time where we have to be out of our house but we're not yet closed and ready to move into a new house, but then the question becomes, what do we do with all of our stuff? Oh well, I'm sure it will work out or we will figure it out. I'm excited to get a new (bigger!) house; we've been in this one for 6.5 years and we've kind of outgrown it a little bit. We need bigger bedrooms for the kids and ideally a finished basement that we could use as a play area.

Alissa, thank you! You look pretty freaking adorable yourself! Love the new belly pic!

I know! I can't believe we're almost to the end of what has been a very loooong road to our little ones. Has it really been 2 years since I found my way over to the TTCAL board?! I mean....it does seem like it's been forever yet, I also feel like it was just yesterday that I found the ttcal chat thread and barged in and started chatting with you. I am so glad that we got to "meet" even though I wish it was under different circumstances. We should really start a chat thread for parenting after a loss or something like that so we can all keep in touch.

Sorry T woke you up so early but how cute that he wanted to just lay with you. I hope you have fun tonight on your double date with your brother and SIL. Oh man, I'm in the mood for some good Italian now...lol. GL and have fun tomorrow at Kindergarten Buddy Day!

How exciting about putting your house on the market this summer! Eeek! Are you scared? We want to buy or build a bigger place but the thought of putting our house on the market scares the cr@p out of me for some reason. Yeah, I hear you about the logistics of trying to buy a house and sell one at the same time. You could always rent a climate controlled storage unit to store your furniture for a month or so until you guys close on your new home. Or get in a rental for a few months and take your time looking for a new place. Anyway, how exciting!!

AFM, Ugh...my tummy hurts. I don't mean my uterus...I think I have an upset stomach...or maybe it is my uterus. I can't really tell what's what anymore. lol I've been having lots of random BH contractions and period like cramps the past few days. It would be awesome if I went in to labor on my own before my induction date but kind of doubt it'll actually happen. Oh and my legs (especially my left) feel like they're going to fall off. WTH?! I feel like a ragdoll...I guess my body is getting ready by making my joints VERY loose...lol. Anyhoo...enough complaining.

I hope everyone is having a good day today.

Alissa, your bump is so cute!! I'm always excited to move - and I've moved alot in the past few years. My brother used to joke on me...that I can't stay in one spot too long, but I don't LIKE moving, it's just something better comes up... or I got divorced or whatever.. I'm not sure I'll be in this place after a year..it's cute and fine for me and DH, but there are issues here that I'd just rather not have. I hope your house sells quick when you do put it on the market.

So last night, my mom texted me and asked me who bought the crib? your dad? I was like... um, no one has bought anything off my registry. She said yes, I checked it today and a few things have been bought. Soooo I was SUPER excited and logged in and someone DID buy my crib! And the mattress and some diapers AND the diaper bag! How exciting! I'll be 30 weeks pregnant tomorrow, but I'm still thinking this isn't really happening...but the fact that someone bought a crib kinda got me all excited. However, I think it was MIL, I'm not even sure my dad knows where I'm registered. I'm thinking he's just going to send me money. Now the only things that I *need* are a car seat and a stroller - I've asked for two of each.. one for each car, but one will do just fine while I'm at home on mat leave. MAT LEAVE???!!! IS THAT REALLY COMING UP!?!?!?!?! Tomorrow - I will be full term in SEVEN WEEKS. Less than two months! OMG.
I need to go hyperventilate now. LOL

Can I just say that it is freakin TWENTY EIGHT degrees outside right now? It's three in the afternoon, so it won't get any warmer PLUS the wind is blooooowing. I feel so bad for DH, he has to work outside on the water. We're supposed to get snow tonight and tomorrow. Around my area, we start shutting down if there's a hint of snow... and if there IS snow, you can forget about anything being open. Except my store. We have a generator..quite a large one.
Hope you ladies are doing well!

    Hey Ladies!

Jina - OMG, I got a little choked up reading what you wrote about the TTCAL board. I know, it has been a long HARD journey for both of us, but I'm so happy that we met (even under bad circumstances) and that we got to share our pregnancies too. We DEFINITELY need to keep in touch after we all have our babies. I second the suggestion for a baby/kid chat afterwards.

I AM scared about putting our house on the market. I was talking to my parents about when they sold our house, and some of the stories they told me were CRAZY. They got feedback from someone that their basement "stunk" (did not, but OUCH! LOL) and even stuff like how people didn't like their couch and thought that their spice rack wasn't properly organized. Swear to god. Like "We're taking the spice rack AND the couch with us, what did you think of the HOUSE, dodo birds????" Plus, I know you have to pretty much keep your house spotless all of the time when you are selling it. Not the easiest thing to do when you have small children. That's part of why we are waiting until this summer, so at least DH will be home to take care of any last minute picking up that needs to be done (although he's not as neat as I am - ideally I would be the one home to do it but unfortunately I have to work. LOL)

I'm sorry that you are in pain! I hope that you're feeling better today, although it's exciting that your body is gearing up for birth on it's own. That would be great if you went into labor on your own before you get induced; it's certainly possible. You're already more pregnant that I have ever been!!!! But if you're not going in labor this week, I hope that you get a little bit of relief. No fun to be so achey.

    Jessica - Thanks!

YAY for someone buying your crib! That is so exciting to know that you can knock that one off of your "need" list. That's probably the biggest expense, so it's awesome that you know that one is taken care of.

Happy 30 weeks!!!! We are going to be having these babies before we know it! EEEEEEeeeeeeEEEEE!!!!!

Hope that you are staying warm today. 28 is cold, especially if you're not used to it.

AFM - OMG, I have been soooo stressed out and busy at work the past couple of days. We have a ton of meetings coming up, including on Monday and Tuesday, and so we have all of this stuff to prepare to present to the client, but then we also keep having TONS of meetings about it (which means I can't get anything done) and then we've had a bunch of small fires that keep popping up and apparently no one can take care of them but me... Yeesh, I am going to be glad to get everything done and out of the way.

Other than that, not much going on. I am going to dinner at my MIL's house tonight, which makes me happy because a) she's a great cook, b) unlike MY parents () she actually tries to remember my dietary needs and cook meals that I can eat when she invites me over, and c) I don't have to cook. I'm drained after this week, so I'm looking forward to being relatively lazy.

Hope you both have a great weekend!!!!

Alissa, every time you say "have a nice weekend" I'm all like...dang is it the weekend AGAIN? LOL I look forward to Fridays because my "pregnant" weeks change AND I get paid. But I always forget the weekend falls behind them. I have to work on Saturdays though, but just for like 5 hours. It was nice to see that someone bought the crib.. I forgot to mention (on here, but did mention on April) that my mom's original purpose for texting me was about the glider I wanted. I was FOR SURE getting one, whether it got bought me for or DH and I had to get it. I just know it'll come in super handy for when baby is fussy and I need to stay out of the bedroom. So, I had registered for what I thought was a white glider with espresso cushions. So mom texted me and she said she was surprised I registered for "That" glider because I don't like dark wood. I was like...it's white..? She said no, the cushions are white. I looked and had it SO backwards. The cushions are white and the glider wood is espresso colored. To be honest, my "nursery" is a bit of a mismatch of wood anyhow, so it wouldn't have *really* mattered, but mom said she'd get me a glider - and one that's a light colored wood to match the crib. LOL. I was happy she's getting it, but talk about pregnancy brain, having the whole color thing backwards. And today - it's NINETEEN DEGREES OUTSIDE. What the heck???!!! I HATE the cold, I think I was supposed to be born in Hawaii!

AFM, it's snowing. I SO want to cuss right now. I was such a lazy bum getting home - I needed to grab some groceries but I just came home and went on about my business (which was lunch and a nap LOLOL) and thought I'd go back out later. Well, the last time I drove in snow, I ended up in a ditch. Hey!! No judging allowed! I was going like 15 MPH and went to turn.....and just kept right on turning into a ditch LOL, I had zero control. So...I really don't want to go back out in this (I even think I'd go so far as to say I really think DH would be PISSED if I did) in my car. I don't want to ask DH to pick up anything either, because he won't be off for another 15 minutes then it's an hour ride home and it'll be bad enough when he gets here without him having to stop. See?? I TOLD you guys, Virginians aren't made for snow LMAO. I think he'll be fine actually, he's in a 4 x 4 truck. Anyway.. I found out at work today that my HHB dept (Home, Health and Beauty) had $5500 in out of cycle invoices. That basically breaks down into - I'm not checking in product when I'm supposed too. Which is a crock of crap, so I sent an email to the guy that said that and asked if he could tell me WHAT is out of cycle so I can try to tell what's going on. Anyway, I think this is getting extremely long. You ladies have a nice one!

This has been a crazy week due to work. I'm so ready for things to slow down a bit! I'm actually at work right now b/c I have a deadline tomorrow and have to knock this out today. Taking a quick break to drop by here...I've been reading just not replying and no real time now either.

Just wanted to say I'm so excited for you Jina!! Your little guy will be here soooo soon! I hope you have a nice smooth and safe labor and deliver and fairly quick too.

Jessica, I'll have to come back to answer the girl vs boy and m/s question. It's not great news though...it has been different this time but I've still been plenty sick. You never know though...some ladies do say they have it much easier with the opposite gender.

I'm a little late but happy 30 weeks both Allissa and Jessica. Y'all will be having your babies before you know it.

Jessica, yay for such generous family and friends! How exciting to finally start getting baby items! LOL time is going to start flying by and you're going to be full term before you know it! It's exciting and scary too, huh?

I'm sorry it's so cold...it's like 80 degrees here. We've had the mildest winter ever here in Austin. People are seriously in shorts and flip flops already. WTH?! I think it got below freezing once or twice in December and that's it. It's mostly been in the 60's and 70's here. Most of my maternity clothes are winter stuff and I seriously can't wear most of them because it's too warm! Grrrr! lol

Alissa, lol...yeah...I'm sure getting feedback like that doesn't feel great but to get weird feedback...lol...wth?! I mean, it also creeps me out that people will be opening closet doors and medicine cabinets and such. I'm a very private person so...eeek! I think it's awesome that your DH will be home to keep the place clean and what not for showings. I hope your home sells quickly and you guys find a bigger place quickly as well. GL!

I'm sorry it's been so crazy busy and stressful at work. Hopefully you'll have a much easier week next week. I hope you enjoyed dinner at your MIL's! Enjoy your weekend!

Lynn, Thank you! I'm starting to get really anxious and nervous about the possibility of a c section. So, thank you for the positive thoughts!

I hope you get work squared away today and have an easier week next week! Oh and Happy 19 weeks!!!!

AFM, I'm just in crazy nesting mode. I was up at 3 am making homemade chicken stock and cleaning the kitchen floor grout. My house is so clean! Now I'm off to sterilize baby items.

I hope you guys are all having a good weekend!

Lynn, I hope work slows down for you some. I know I was sooooo grateful at work having the job I do, because aside from paperwork, anyone can visually verify stuff...so I'd always leave when the boss came in LOL I hope you get appreciated, working on a Sunday for a deadline tomorrow!

Jina, lady - I want your nesting. Seriously. And soon! LOL I am a little ticked because I seriously like..deep cleaned certain rooms last Friday. I was in pain the day after, but I did it! It doesn't look like I did ANYTHING now. DH's clothes are all over the floor. There's mtn dew cans/bottles everywhere. UGH. I have finally got it through my head that while dinner is cooking - I can clean up the kitchen. That way it doesn't get so messy and since I have to be in there anyway for dinner, I'm knocking out two birds with one stone. My kitchen is totally in another part of the house than the living room and it drives me NUTS. I want to be able to talk to people in the living room while I'm cooking, not be totally separate. And, I'm totally jealous of your weather!! 80 degrees is wonderful! You made me laugh when you said that your maternity clothes were winter and you can't wear them. I wear maternity shirts if I go out somewhere, but they don't have maternity shirts at work...but they're just tshirts and it's kinda big on me anyway, so it's fitting fine. However, I always have on a hoodie and seriously, unless I poke out my stomach and curve my back, you can't really tell there's a baby bump there. I have heard it's horrible being pregnant during the summer, but sheesh atleast people would be able to know I'm pregnant!

AFM, Aside from unloading/loading the dishwasher...I didn't do anything today. Well, I cooked dinner. We're having steak surprise. I have no idea what to do with this particular "steak" so I just seasoned it and cut it into strips. I was going to serve it over rice - except we don't have any rice. So..that's the surprise! LOL I have spent probably an hour total with DH over the last five days. He gets home late or goes to school or whatever..but I got all emotional last night because I haven't seen him much. I'm sure he'll be glad when I stop crying ALL THE TIME.
