Jessica - Oh my gosh, I can't believe that some crazy lady called you and accused you of doing the nasty with her man all over a stupid work thing. I can't even picture actually listening to DH's voicemail, let alone calling people in his phone and accusing them of stuff. What a psycho!

I hate it when people call me that aren't programmed into my phone and don't leave a message too though. I'm always tempted to call back and do the whole "Did you call me?" thing just because I'm curious, but I figure that if it was important they probably would leave a message, so it's probably more trouble than it's worth to call back.

I can't believe that your saga with your landlord and the heat STILL isn't resolved. What the heck?!? He seriously needs to get on the ball. It's not your fault that the insurance money hasn't come in yet - he needs to find a way to make it happen now and get reimbursed by the insurance money later. That's part of being a landlord - you can't leave people without the really neccessary stuff like heat or water "until you can afford it."

Sorry about the car. I hope you are able to get it fixed cheaply and soon.

Also sorry to hear that you are so uncomfortable. I'm definitely having a hard time sleeping these days - I keep waking up with different parts of me feeling sore (knees, hips, back, et cetera.) But just think, only like 7 more weeks tops (probably!) - that's nothing. We'll be holding our sweet babies before we know it!

Jina - ditto, thinking about you and your little boy and hoping that Lucas is starting to gain weight and just thriving, and that you are adjusting to your new no-sleep schedule. (((hugs))))

AFM - Time is in fast forward these days! I can't believe that I'm 33 weeks already, can't believe that I'm going to be on maternity leave in a month, and can't believe that it's Valentine's Day in two days. I have done NOTHING for either DH or T. Guess I'd better get on the ball tonight. *Sigh*

    Hope everyone is doing well.

Soooo... after my appt today, I stopped at Walmart. I know this is TMI, but I had to poo and I was near the back of the store so I went into the restroom. Well, I always have trouble poo'ing lately. I'm sure it's the Zofran (why do all my meds start with Z's? lol) which causes constipation. So I go a little and then that last little bit gets ...stuck. So I sat in there for probably 30 minutes. Everytime I'd just be like F it and get up, it'd be so uncomfortable that I'd sit back down. Finally, I just got up and decided to be uncomfortable. I had everything I needed, I just needed to check out so I made my way up front. Where I paid and ran into the bathroom up there. 15 minutes later, it finally came out. SWEET relief! I went to DQ and got lunch and came home. Where 20 minutes ago I was hit with this insane urge to poo, I high tailed it into the bathroom, where I had (TMI) diarrhea and THEN I vomited!! WTF?? Came out of the bathroom and my little girl dog has peed on my blanket and poo'd on the floor. Thanks JoJo. I finally don't have to clean up after DH's dog - and MY dog does it.

Alissa, reading through your post makes me realize that all my posts here make it seem like I have a very dramatic life. And I really don't. My life is insanely boring and regular LOL It's just that, to break up the boring it seems like it's always BAD things (like the tree falling). I know this little girl coming will be a huge highlight to break up the boring...but it'd be nice if just once or twice the little small things were good too. What did you end up getting DH and T for V-day? When I was in Walmart I picked DH up a card (which is super sappy, but I tell him the exact same things all the time, so...) a pair of silk boxers with hearts on them (yesterday he mentioned that the boxers I got for him two years ago - he can't find...I'm sure they're here somewhere, but my house is a mess...lol) and some heavy duty socks. Very Valentine-y. LOL We'll go out to dinner sometime this weekend and probably take his mom, which was my idea. I know Valentines Day has to suck when your one and only passes away, so we'll try to kind of take her mind off of it.

Haha Jess, I think we all have a tendency to just talk about the stuff that is more...noteworthy.....like trees crashing and psycho girl friends! If a tree crashed on my house, you'd better believe that talk about that more than talking about how I spent the rest of the day watching a Bridezilla's marathon, or whatever.

Sorry your stomach was so messed up yesterday. I hope that you are feeling better today.

For V Day (which I still haven't shopped for - going shopping today on my lunch) I am just getting DH a card, and then probably one of those musical cards for T and a little box of chocolates. My dad always got my brother and I our own box of Valentine's Day chocolates and that was always a tradition that I loved, so I have continued it with T and will do so for Rocket. DH got T the next Diary of a Wimpy Kid book (we are reading the series slowly but surely), so that plus the chocolates plus a music card should make a fun V Day for T I think. DH and I already agreed that we aren't getting each other presents; part of our ongoing efforts to save money. Which is fine by me, other than my box of chocolates (which I can't eat this year) I've never been a huge V Day person.

Nidia - I meant to respond the other day - 9 1/2 lbs at 37 weeks?!? ZOMG, I feel faint. LOL I can't believe that people were giving her crap about getting a c-section. Like, IMO, a c-section isn't the ideal outcome, but on the other hand a baby that big (because presumably s/he is even bigger than 9 1/2 lbs now - prob 10+) can get stuck and that's really dangerous. FTR they are monitoring me really closely because of my GD and because Rocket is already proving to be kind of a monster baby (5+ lbs at 32 weeks) and they have told me flat out that at anything higher than about 10 they do recommend a c-section because the shoulders can get stuck and that's dangerous for baby and mom. Maybe your friend could have delivered vaginally, maybe not, but it's really rude for people to judge her and make crappy comments IMO. People should wait until they are in that situation of being told that going for a vaginal birth could be potentially dangerous and trying to weigh the risks themselves when it is their baby and their body before they are so quick to say what other mom's should be doing. *end rant* Haha, I didn't really realize it, but that may be a bit of a hot button topic for me since I was just discussing that same thing (again) with my dr yesterday.

Jina - thinking about you and hoping that Lucas is a super easy baby (I mean, as "super easy" as newborns can be; I seem to recall that they only sleep during the day and cry every time you take off their clothes or diaper - or maybe that was just T....)

AFM - Not much going on today. Just working, and then making Chicken and Rice Soup tonight for dinner. Wheeeee! LOL Hope that everyone has a nice night and a very Happy Valentine's Day.

Alissa, my mom always got my brother and I some chocolates or something for V day and up until maybe...4 years ago? ..she was giving me Easter Baskets too LOL. She kept trying to stop and I was like...whaatt? LOL That makes me sound completely spoiled, but I was always giving her one too! I remember one year she gave my older brother 50 dollars to get me a basket and his g/f a basket... and he brought me back this teddybear rabbit thing, with some jelly beans. It still had the price tag on it from Walmart ... 99 cents! I WAS PISSED and so was mom! Anyway, I think it's cute that you get T something. I'll probably do that with Julie too.

So, okay..I have a funny to tell. You know how on EVERY Valentine's thread, I've put how DH gets me a card every year and doesn't sign it? And usually shows up with a bag from Walmart (or wherever he stopped) with my stuff in it? So this year, he asked me what I wanted for V-day and I said I wanted a card - signed - with a note or something sweet written in it.
So he gets home last night and hands me a Walmart bag. It has a pink bear in it and a card. Not signed. LMFAO I was like... TIM, wtf? LOL He said he had left his pen at home. ...granted, it was a really sweet card and it kind of made me cry because I know he reads through them trying to find one that fits us...so I didn't give him too much grief..lol. Then he gave me some yellow roses (I love yellow) so, he did good. Maybe next year I'll have a signed card...LMAO
Last night, DH was taking the dogs out and JoJo got in the way and got smacked in the head with the door. To which...she started limping. It wasn't a hard hit...but it made me laugh because only MY dog would get hit in the head and it affect her leg. But today she's still sorta limping, so I hope nothing serious is wrong. She wasn't limping last night at bed time...so I dunno. She's kind of a drama queen for dogs, so...
Hope you all have a great Valentines Day!

    Where is everyone?

I had to leave work early today, someone called me from a heating/cooling place and they needed in the house. It's a good thing I only live like 4 miles from work, or else they'd have been out of luck. Nice of them to let me know they were coming out. He said they were putting together an estimate for a heat pump (no $hit), but an all electric one. Which would be fine with me! But my landlord said yesterday he's thinking of doing propane which is NOT fine with me. I just put oil in the tank - there's still some in there and it was 400 dollars! I'm not paying another 400 dollars to get propane in a tank that we may not use all of. They'll give a credit back for propane, but I don't really have 400 dollars to drop on propane, ESPECIALLY since I've still got oil in there. They won't give me a credit back for oil, either. The ac/heat guy said that they've put a "rush job" on this and that made me laugh. This Wednesday will be three weeks since we've had heat. It is COLD today and it's friggin cold inside. The little itty bitty space heater I've got just can't keep up. Plus this is an old house, so there's cold air coming in from the windows and the doors. Everyone is like, break your lease and sue him!! Um, I have nowhere else to go and sue him for what? The last month of rent or something? That would just get eaten up in court costs and lawyer fees, no thanks.

Other than that - nothing really exciting is going on.

Alissa, I hope you're okay. I haven't seen much from you except your L&D post in April.

Jina, really hope baby boy is being easier on you. Look forward to your update!

I think I might jump in again. I had my first bloodwork done. 4w5d was 1332 and 5w was 2804. Now I have to decide when to have my u/s. I could go Friday at 6w0d (and have DH come) or put it off until next week and go alone. I'm a little worried 6w might be too early for a HB, but I really want DH there. I was told to do it sometime between 6 and 7 weeks. what would you do?

Hey Ladies! Sorry I have been MIA. So busy this week, and having trouble juggling all of my boards.

Pico - Yes, please do jump right in! Hmmmm - if they don't see a HB at 6 weeks, do you think they would give you the option of coming back in a week or so? I don't blame you for wanting your DH there. On the other hand, if you *don't* see the HB, will that make you worry unduly? That is the only thing that I would really worry about when it comes to getting a scan that early - you might *not* see the HB, and then will that eat at you until you do see something?

Jessica - Did you ever get your heating issues straightened out? I think that if anyone has to drop $400 for propane at this point, it should be your crappy landlord!!!!

AFM - DH's grandma died this past weekend, and her funeral was on Monday. In Jewish tradition for the first week, it's tradition for the family and friends to all "sit Shiva" together at someone's house, (kind of like a week long wake) so we have to go do that every night this week.

And OMG T's preschool called and my freaking MIL never picked him up from preschool! I get that this has been a crazy couple of days, but for real?!? Luckily they have an after care program, so they just stuck him in there, but that is so not cool. They left me a VM, and I guess when they didn't get me they called DH, and he called MIL to remind her, and then called the school back. So all's well that ends well, but seriously, today has been stressful enough at work without dealing with that too. *head explodes*

Alissa - sorry to hear about DH's grandma.

I did another beta yesterday (5w5d) and it's over 13,000 so I don't think I'll worry too much if we don't see a HB as long as there's a fetal pole and all. I think they probably would have me come back a week later. DH really wants to be there, so we'll be doing the u/s tomorrow morning. I also like the idea of going early because my loss this summer was a BO and I had every symptom including my regular hyperemesis which usually starts around 6w. So I want to know ASAP if this isn't going to work out before I suffer thorough weeks of nausea and vomiting (for no reason) like last time.

Pico - with a BETA of 13000, you should definitely see SOMETHING there, even if you can't spot the heartbeat quite yet. I think I'd be like you - ready to see something, but not too worried if it doesn't show up. I had an u/s at 6w5d and we saw it, but just barely. I dunno what my BETA levels were - I had an ectopic pregnancy last time and I really thought the OB would test my levels, but they didn't. I remember I was quite pissed that first appointment LOL

Alissa, no. I still have no heat. The legal limit is 14 days to get something like that fixed and as of today, it's been 21. Almost a friggin MONTH! I can't say anything though, because I have no where else to go should it become an issue. Now, if it's not fixed by mid March, (which is wayyyy too long to wait anyway) then I'm gonna get DH to step in for real. Like, just to be an @ss. Julie may come on her due date or even late, but the heck if I'm going to worry about going into labor because I have no heat in the house. I practically live under my electric blanket...lol I'm sorry about DH's grandmother. Is she the one that's been in hospice? ....and I can't believe your MIL left T at school!!! OMG. I'm glad they just put him into after school care, but I think I'd be paranoid now lol.

So, I forgot to grab my money AND my debit card today. So when I got off work, I was sick because I was SO hungry. There's not much to eat in the house except for stuff for dinner. So, I ate chips and salsa. ...I might have eaten half the jar of salsa. Is that bad? LOL I would have probably eaten the entire thing, but it was already halfway empty because we used it on steak fajitas last night. They were YUMMY. I've definitely starting waddling. This morning, (This is a lil' TMI), DH woke me up by rubbing on me. We never have sex before work - and when I glanced at the clock I kind of wanted to punch him. It was 3am. I'm supposed to be at work at 4, but that doesn't happen like ever, it's usually closer to 5. But anyway, we did it and now I feel all weird down there. Not painful, just....weird.

Anyway, hope you ladies are doing well. Jina, we miss you!

Jessica - this may be TMI, but I get weird swelling pressure after sex in the 2nd and 3rd trimester (especially in the morning). I've found that witch hazel pads (like the ones for hemorrhoids) help a lot. Or anything cool, for that matter. I think things just get a bit irritated and swollen and the coolness (or sleeping all night) helps fix it.
