Alissa, I posted in April about your doc appt. I hope Rocket stays put! (But I mean, how friggin exciting!!!!)

Lynn, I'm sorry about your loss and you being sick. Hopefully you can stay well now!

AFM, I freaked out last night. The landlord called DH and told him he hasn't received the rent yet. *sigh* I mailed it Friday (which I've already told the landlord), so it should have been there already. I REALLY hope he gets it tonight, because if not we have to start trying to get a refund back on the money orders. I HATE paying with money orders. I have a friggin checking account and the landlord doesn't want to take a check because he doesn't want to wait for it to clear his bank. However, if a CHECK got lost in the mail, I'd just have to cancel it and write another one. But noooo, since he ONLY TAKES money orders, I have to fill out a claim form and wait TWO MONTHS for them to MAYBE give me a refund. I know the landlord isn't going to want to wait to get the rent - but there's no way we can come up with rent twice in the same month, either. So yeah - I'm stressed. DH was like - I'm handling it, don't worry about it. But I worry about EVERYTHING. Anyway, the landlord caught an attitude on the phone with Tim and Tim caught one right back. We called the money order place and they at least haven't been cashed, so it points to the fact that they're still in the mail. I sincerely hope so. Tim called the guy back and told him and apparently he didn't have an attitude this time. But I really don't know what to do. Plus, he is going to want to charge us 100 dollar late fee. He hasn't said anything about it, but I'm sure it's coming. Tim said he was biting his tongue on the phone to not say anything crappy about us not having heat for a month. SO anyway, my stomach started hurting and I started to cry and freak out. DH doesn't understand that I'm way emotional and worry MORE than usual. So..he tried to make me feel better a little. We went to bed, but I couldn't sleep... I didn't get much sleep at all last night, but I ended up on the couch because I couldn't get comfortable in bed.
When I left work today, my back exploded into pain. It only lasted about 10 minutes, but it's a good thing I was heading to the truck where I could sit down because I don't think I could have stood up much longer. I'm scared to death to be a mom, but I want this pregnancy and all the aches and pains and stuff - to be over with.

Alissa, just try to take it easy as much as you can. I completely understand how you feel about wanting to get to 37 wks. You are really close and as I'm sure you know many women have been told that sort of news at around your gestation and still go to 40 weeks or even longer Which, I know, is hard to imagine...but it happens. My labor has started both times with my water breaking, which is crazy b/c that is such a small percentage of ladies but I'm in the group. It's a pretty definitive "labor has started" sign though. Anyway, with DS2 I got to a more reasonable gestation and he came at 36 wks 5 days. He had no breathing issues or otherwise and we went home together the day after he was born. My point is I think when you trend to be early it's not always a "body not performing properly" issue but maybe you just bake quickly.

Good luck, I do hope he stays put for another 2 wks or so.

Jessica, please do not let the rent worry you. Let DH handle the landlord and do not pay him any late fee. I'm sure it's just been delayed in the mail and he'll get it pretty quickly. If you feel more comfortable that things will stay "nicer" b/w you and the landlord and you want to be the one doing the communicating that is fine but tell him calmly and matter of factly that you are sorry the payment got delayed in the mail however you feel it is beyond reasonable for him to let it slide a bit this one instance given his poor response to the heat issue and the "inconvenience" (almost laughable to just call it that b/c it was so ridiculous for him to not have it fixed right away) he put you through. Don't let him push you around or give you grief about such a minor delay when you've always been on time before.

I'm sorry you are having so much pain. It won't be long now and she'll be here and you will be much more comfortable.

Alissa - I hope baby stays put! For what it's worth, I was 2cm and 50%+ at 38 weeks with DS2 and he held out until 2 days before his EDD. The doc was amazed every time I made it back for another appointment. I even tried to "walk him out" at 39 weeks by taking a 4 mile hike. It didn't do a darn thing. I was still the same when checked the next day.

Jessica - I agree with Lynn. I hope the landlord doesn't make a big deal about the rent being late, but if he does I'd totally "gently" remind him about the heat. I hope the pain resolves. Try to take it easy! I'm sure you'll be a wonderful mom whens he arrives. Try not to worry about that.

AFM: everything is fine! I'm pretty sure I even found the HB with my doppler today. I'd like the reassurance, though, and would really like to check up on the bruising they saw last time. I'd like to know whether it resolved.

Pico - glad you heard the heartbeat. I know that was always so reassuring to me.

Today, DH got of work early. I have this one friend that DH actually doesn't have a problem with (haha) so her car is here so DH can work on it. She took it to a shop but when I told DH how much they were going to charge, he offered to do it for much much cheaper. We're still making money off of it, but we're saving her mucho money. So, when he got home he started working on the radiator - it had to be switched out. Then he comes inside and said he wanted to go fishing. LOL. It was BEAUTIFUL outside! So, we went down about 7 miles from the house and fished in a river. We didn't catch anything, no bites at all - but we had a good time just being outside and together. We got home and he started working on her car again, so I sat outside with him. It got cold QUICK. I didn't get much done cleaning wise (the house is a mess) but ...whatever, it was a good day.

Yay for a good day! We had nice weather here too. I'm really ready for spring and some warmer weather.
How did everything turn out with the rent? Hope the landlord is happy and leaving you alone.

Virginia, so glad you can get some reassurance with the doppler hearing the h/b.

Alissa, hope your little man is still hangin in there. I came looking just to be sure no updates about his arrival. Getting close to 37 weeks now. Yay!

AFM, this weekend wasn't nearly long enough and I way too much to do. I was barely home and the house is still just as big of wreck as before the weekend began. I'm very frustrated here!! Ugh! Oh well, there's always next weeken right. On a good note, my day was mostly taken up yesterday at the JBF consignment sale...it was tiring but DS1 and baby girl both have full wardrobes to get them through fall now. I got 2 kiddos clothed for $288. I thought that was a pretty good deal. They each have more clothes than they need but I like to have a good selection. Got a few items for DS2 also but he already has DS1's hand me downs so he really didn't need anything.

Lynn - Thank you for the reassurance. I know it's true that you can hang on for weeks partially dialated and effaced, I think it just freaked me out because he made it sound so close. LOL Now that it's been close to week and I'm still hanging on (and now basically 37 weeks) I am feeling much more blase about the whole thing, like whenever he wants to show his cute little face, I'm okay with it. I'm excited to see him and would love to see him soon, but whenever he is ready works for me.

I'm sorry that you didn't get as much done as you wanted to this weekend. How fun to get all of your clothes shopping out of the way too! Oooh, and especially how fun to shop for a little girl! I am excited to have two boys, but I have to say that one thing I am missing out on is adorable little girl clothes!!!

Pico - That is wonderful about finding the HB! I bet that is a little bit of relief, and especially since you have a doppler and can check it any time you want. That's crazy that you walked around for so long dialated and effaced! LOL

Jess - That sounds so nice and restful, just going down to a river and hanging out with your DH, just the two of you. Enjoy those moments now, because they get a little harder to come by for a while after the baby is born. The good news is that the older your kids get (IME) the easier it gets again, but in the beginning it probably won't be just you and your DH again for a little while. How nice of him to fix your friend's car too!

AFM - Posted about this on April, but I had my growth u/s today, and Rocket is measuring in at a respectable but not "make the news" huge 7 lbs. His growth rate has actually slowed down quite a bit since last month, which is exactly what they wanted to see. So no more talk about inducing me, unless I go late or my BP gets too out of control. AND I basically hit my goal of 37 weeks, so now I'm not going to stress about when he comes; he can come whenever he wants and I will be fine with it.

Alissa, I did read your update in April earlier but didn't have time to respond. So glad to hear your u/s was some good news and yay for making 37 wks. I hope everything stays calm and reasonably comfortable until Rocket decides to make his appearance...no ongoing contractions with no results. That would be tough to go thru for days or wks on end.

It was fun shopping for girl stuff and a bit overwhelming too. There is exponentially more stuff available...it was really too much to go through. I bet I didn't look thru 1/3 of the clothing for N to 3 months and found tons of stuff! I was shocked at how much more there was.

Lynn - I believe it! Whenever you go clothes shopping in the stores, it always seems like 2/3 of the store is girl clothes, and 1/3 is boy clothes. Which makes sense I guess, boy clothes are pretty simple and straight forward for the most part. Girls have a lot more variety I think, which I think would be fun, but yes, also over whelming. Just wait until she is old enough to have an opinion about what she wears!!!

Have you picked out a name for her yet?

How is everyone else doing? Sorry I have been MIA the past couple of days. I swear I think I've gotten to the point where I can only concentrate on like 1 board at a time per day. LOL

AFM - Had an exciting night last night. I had my weekly drs appointment yesterday, and he did an internal exam which I know can cause a bit of spotting. BTW, NOTHING has changed since last week. I've been having contractions off and on for a week, and I'm still 2 cm dilated, 75% effaced. LOL Oh well, I trust that my body knows what it's doing, and Reid needs to cook longer, which is fine. But THEN last night, I went to the bathroom, and there was a TON of blood, and even like some blood clots (sorry if TMI). Waaaaaay more than you would expect from an internal exam. So I freaked, and of course called my dr's after hours line. The doctor on call told me that it could be from the internal exam, but I probably wanted to go to the hospital to get it checked out. So, we finished packing the hospital bag, took T to my mom and dad's house, and trundled in to the hospital, where they pronounced that there wasn't a darn thing wrong with me and sent me home. Still no idea why a simple cervical check would produce that much blood and even clots, and the nurse agreed with me that was weird and scary, but everything looks fine, so I guess it's fine. Rocket man has been moving around as much as usual, so we're good. That was scary though. It was a LOT of blood.
