I would have done the same thing Alissa and I'm not a freak out type person. That does sound like a lot from just an internal exam but who knows...I guess you were one of the lucky ones. Glad all looked well though. It can't be too much longer either way. You're so close!

We don't have a name yet. We had a girls name list with DS2 since he was a surprise until the birth. The only name we remember from it was Ainsley. Both DH and I still really like that name and it might be the one but I have yet to go through my options this go round so can't say for sure. I'll probably start really spending some time in the baby name book after I hit 30 wks. We likely won't officially pick anything until after she arrives though.

How about your little guy...all I recall hearing is Rocket, does he have a name yet? Jessica, same question for you...I know you have talked about Julie (which is really pretty...nice classic name that isn't common or overdone IMO). Is that "the" name for your baby girl?

AFM, I'm so glad the weekend is almost here. I have actually made baby step progress around my house during the week but can't wait for the weekend to really get some things done. I think I'm just to the point emotionally that I need some order in my house to get past this feeling of chaos and all being out of control. It's not that everything is really that bad but I just feel so overwhelmed lately with life in general. It's probably just hormones but gah!

Lynn - yes, baby girl's name is going to be Julie. DH was sprouting off names one evening (I say sprouting, he offered up four names), which I'm not even sure he was thinking about - I think they just were the first ones he thought about. When he said Julie, I really really liked it. Plus it goes well with my last name. Funny thing though, I really DONT like Julia, so I'm glad he said Julie instead of Julia..haha.

Alissa, I would have FREAKED OUT! I'm glad you're doing okay though!

I'm glad everything looked okay, Alissa! How scary.

I had some pink spotting this afternoon. I have an appointment tomorrow afternoon and I'll ask about it then. I just checked and got a beautiful HB close to 180bpm, but I'm still so scared. I was just starting to relax, get excited, and think about telling the kids.

Lynn - Yay for starting to get some things done! I got to that point too, where I was basically thinking that if I didn't get anything done soon I was going to just have an emotional meltdown. I hope that you are able to get everything done this weekend that you want to, but also get some rest.

Jessica - I've said this before, but I love the name Julie. It's such a sweet and classic name. And yes, I was completely freaked. I've read stories about placental abruptions causing bleeding, so that's all I could think about. But we still had to do things like take T to my mom's house, so I couldn't even go to the hospital as fast as I wanted.

Pico - So sorry that you are spotting. Didn't your u/s tech say that you have a subchorionic hematoma, or did I dream that? Even if you do have one, I totally totally understand how scary and disheartening that is. Please keep us posted about what your dr says tomorrow!

yeah, my 6 week u/s found a very small (less than 1cm) subchorionic hematoma. I was told it would probably reabsorb.
It surprised me so much to see the spotting, even though I know it could happen. The only time I've ever spotted during pregnancy (before 36 weeks or so) was with my last m/c at 5 weeks.

(((hugs)))) Spotting is scary, but doesn't have to be a m/c especially if you have a SCH. I had a small one with this pregnancy too, and it ended up bleeding for 6 weeks. Probably took a couple of weeks off of my life in sheer stress, but this guy I'm carrying is just fine. Try not to get yourself too freaked out before you talk to your doctor, especially since you are able to find that wonderful healthy heartbeat.

Virginia, I totally agree with Alissa...I bet the SCH is the source of your spotting. I never had even a bit of discolored CM during pregnancy with either of my boys but had 2 instances early on in this pregnancy where (TMI) after a BM I had a bit of pink discharge when I wiped. And I'm sure it was coming from the baby area not the back. So that really made me nervous too b/c like you I never had any, at all, before. But this little girl seems to be just fine. She's been kicking me enough today I feel like she's doing ok in there. That is great that you have a nice strong h/b too. I would put money on all being just fine with your little one.

So - yesterday I got home from my moms and pulled all the baby clothes out of the bedroom. They were still in the bags - with tags. I went through all of them (some of them were from the thrift store) and kept what I wanted and took the tags off of all the new stuff. I was actually surprised. She DOES have a lot of clothes, but she really has a crap ton of receiving blankets! LOL I think the only reason I went through it all is because the roof guy was coming today and he needed to repair the ceiling in that bedroom and I knew he wouldn't be able to walk in there.
SPEAKING OF the roof guy - *sigh* Okay, he was going to get here early and fix the roof then come in and mud the ceiling when I got home. I spoke with a guy from his company (who sets it all up) about 5000 times on Monday to get it all arranged. Well, I get home - and there's no one here. So I called him. He said something about the guy saying he was going to be here at 12 (since that'd when I had originally said I'd get home). I was like..okay, whatever. The guy specifically told me the roofer was going to be here EARLY to get the roof done and only need to come inside to mud when I got home. But anyway, I never get a call back or anything. I fell asleep on the couch (imagine that). At one, a really timid knock is at the door. It's the roofer, whom...looks like he's in a hurry. He's a young guy, probably my age or maybe a little younger. And cute and arrogant. Well, being pregnant has done a lot for my attitude - like make it crappy LOL. He said he was going to go around back and fix the roof. I said fine, whatever and shut the door LOL. (Hey, what do you want?? He woke me up!!) He comes back around a little later to get inside and I take him to the bedroom. (that sounds kinky). He's looking for the cracks..finds them, and points out that they aren't from the tree falling. He said the the tree fell on the soffit, not the actual roof. My house has a ton of little cracks in the ceiling, just from the age and I figured those ones in the bedroom were from the same thing. They didn't look "new" or "open" or anything, they even had a coat of paint already on them. So, the guy said he'd paint 'em if I wanted him too when he comes back Wednesday (to put the correct color shingles on the roof over the patch) and I said go ahead, it's not my house and I'm not going to tell you no.
When he was leaving - he said that the man I talked to at his company was really pushing him out here because I'm pregnant. And I got to thinking... when I called my landlord and told him I was due this month (which is a lie, but whatever, I COULD be!) things really got rolling. I got the heat installed and roof fixed pretty quickly after telling him that. I'm thinking if I wasn't pregnant, I'd still be waiting!! I think when I said, "I'm not bringing a baby home to a house with no heat". that kicked my landlord into high gear because he was thinking we'd move out. Which we would have. Stupid. And can I just say that I would have been PISSED if I would have cancelled going to my moms for this guy to come tell me he's gotta come back anyway? I'm glad I told them no and rescheduled it.

On a different note, I felt a lot of pressure in my pelvic region today. It was seriously a chore to get up out of my seat at work, it hurt pretty bad. I took some Tylenol and drank some water, but nothing really helped. So, as soon as I could, I left work and came home to relax on the couch. For some reason, sitting with my legs out is a big help and I can't sit like that at work...lol

My appointment went fine. And I got an u/s.

There's baby, measuring 9w0d with a HB of 180. That's the good news.
There are now two areas of bruising/bleeding. One tiny, one a lot bigger. The MW didn't see too worried, especially since the spotting has stopped. I'm going to try to take it easy and I just have to keep hoping it doesn't cause any problems for baby.

Pico - that is a beautiful bean! Sorry that you have a bigger SCH, but at least now you have a reason for the bleeding. Have you had any more spotting?

Jessica - that's great that you started taking all of her clothes out of the bags and taking the tags off. Do you have everything put away? How is the nursery coming?

Lynn - I can't believe that you are almost in your third trimester!!! That is sooooo exciting! Have you had any more pink discharge?

AFM - Not much going on today. I want to get some things done around the house, so I guess I'd better get off my duff and start working. I want to get the house super clean this week and try to just keep it that way until the baby is born so that will be one less thing for me to worry about. Now that I'm off work, I really don't have any excuse for having a messy house, except that I'm feeling tired and lazy. LOL Hope that everyone is having a good week.
