Jessica - so sorry you are going through all of that at work. I have had a very difficult bout at work during this pregnancy, don't let it get to you. Try to take some extra rest to. Also, I will be thinking about you for your U/S. I know it's hard not to be paranoid but I have a good feeling.
Jina - hope you feel better!
Alissa - YAH FOR 9 WEEKS!!!! before you know it you will be 39!!!!!
AFM - after my last pre baby dr appt we went to Dillards and I splurged on some nice pajamas for after the babies come and a new robe. Also DH got me a new Fossil purse that is smaller and I can wear across my body while I'm juggling babies. Slowly packing and getting ready to go - only 1.5 days now. Also my older sis surprised me with tickets to town tomorrow. She is excited to see the twins and didn't want to wait till October to come visit. She hopefully will get some good pics. Her daughter is in college and has been studying photography and she is bringing one of the really nice cameras.
TTC since 2009
8/30/12 Lucas Anthony & Olivia Ann arrived at 37 weeks
Jina, I'm sorry you weren't feeling well. I hope you feel better tomorrow.
Alissa, Congratulations on 9 weeks and being more preggers than your last 2 pregnancies.
Jessica, I can completely understand your worry...early pregnancy is hard and with previous losses that worry doesn't just go away overnight. But I really think you will be getting good news tomorrow, you've already seen the h/b and your previous losses were very different from your current pregnancy experience. So, I think with the point you have reached now, with the symptoms you are experiencing and having already had a good u/s you will get nothing but more great news tomorrow. Hope it comes quickly for you and without too much anxiety. Can't wait to hear your update
Danielle, how exciting that your babies will be here the day after tomorrow! I can't wait to see pictures...how cool about having an amateur photographer there. Oh and side note, the gestation you are today, 36 weeks 5 days, is when my DS2 was born. I went into labor in the evening and he was born early in the morning at that gestation. He weighed in at 7 lbs 4 oz...I was glad he didn't go to 40 weeks.
I think I mentioned before my sister was also pregnant and we were due within a few days to a couple weeks from each other (didn't know exactly how far along I was). She went in for an u/s today and there was no h/b and baby measured a week behind. Her and her husband have a DD and have been trying for #2. She was pregnant, her second pregnancy back in November and went in for an u/s around 9 weeks and there was no h/b, she had a D&C then and they waited for a few extra cycles to try again since they wanted to avoid a Jan/Feb EDD. So this was her 3rd pregnancy, trying again after a loss and this happens again almost exactly like her first loss. I am so heartbroken for her.
Lynn - I'm so sorry to hear that your sister is going through that. How heartbreaking. And sorry for you too, I'm sure the whole family is sad and disappointed. I hope your sister is doing okay with evererything.
Also, 7 lbs 4 at not quite 37 weeks! Whooo, your DS was going to be a big boy if he went to term! LOL I had kind of the same thing, but not as extreme; My DS was born during the 37th week (can't remember exactly which day) and he was 7'6, so I always thought how lucky I was that he came a little early.
Danny - Eeeeeee! Tomorrow! So excited for you! What time is everything happening? That is awesome that your sister and niece will be in town for the birth, and hopefully get some great pictures. We want to see!!!!
Jessica - Will be thinking about you during your appointment today. What time is it?
Jina - Made your chicken greenbean casserole, and I thought it turned out really yummy! The only thing was, it was a big soupy when I pulled it out of the oven (no fault of the recipe, that is a common thing with high altitude cooking) so I mixed some extra stuffing into it and let it sit for a couple of minutes to soak up the extra liquid. Also, I added cheddar cheese to the sauce because my inner Swedish Chef demands that we add cheese to everything lately. It was really good, and surprisingly low carb which makes it a definite keeper recipe during my pregnancy (gestational diabetes). T liked it too. Now if only I could get DH to eat casserole....
Hope you are feeling better.
Jessica, sounds like a stressful day at work! Sorry about your new shoes....ugh! I hate that! Good luck at your u/s today!! Sending lots of positive vibes your way!!
Alissa, Yay!!! Happy 9 weeks and 1 day!!! lol Oh yay! Glad you liked the casserole. Yum! Cheese sounds like an excellent thing to add. I'm going to add cheddar cheese next time too. I made your recipe for smothered pork chops last night and oh man it was soooo good. I really really like the addition of ranch in the recipe. Hubby at first kind of turned his nose up at the idea of adding ranch powder to the sauce but once he tasted it he was in love. lol I love that it adds a tangy-ness to the pork chops!! We have left overs so we'll probably eat it again tonight if I don't end up inhaling for lunch that is. Haha!
Danielle, Holy cr@p! One more day! I'm getting so excited!! What a great way to spend the day....I love the idea of comfy pjs and a nice robe. I agree about having an photographer around. How fun! I can't wait to see pics!
Lynn, I am so sorry about your sister. How devastating for you both. I hope that you guys can lean on each other through this difficult time. (((((((hugs))))))))
AFM, I've been having bad dizzy spells where the whole room is spinning even with my eyes closed. Yuck. Not fun at all. I finally feel like I'm back to normal today.
Jina - Ugggh! That sounds awful!!! I had something like that when I was pregnant with T. I actually ended up going to an ear specialist and they thought that I had something wrong with my inner ear (something to do with dislodged "crystals" which sounds very weird and new agey to me...lol!) I hope that you start feeling better soon.
I'm so glad that you and M liked the ranch pork chops! We really like them too, and they are so easy, so that's a good go-to meal for weeknights for us. That's funny that M turned up his nose at it at first because of the dry ranch dressing. It does sound kind of weird, but I think it makes it super good.
AFM - So I haven't really talked about it much because it seems pointless, but I have continued to spot off and on (but usually at least a tiny amount each day) since my appointment last Tuesday. It seemed like it went away for a couple of days after the appt, and then started back up again. To cheer myself up, I just bought an app for my iPhone where I can mark off the days that I don't spot. I figure if nothing else, if I need to provide a record to my OB about the frequency of spotting, I will now be able to do it, but I am hoping that I will be able to get several days together at once. LOL I got to mark off yesterday, and so far so good for today. Who thinks I can make it to three days in a row?
Lynn - Oh no! Oh man that's horrible! I hope both of you have the strength to help one another out in both of your times of need. Both of you are in my thoughts.
Alissa - I know, in the back of your mind, spotting is spotting. But you do have a reason for it - so completely blame it on that every time and don't be like me and freak out... I'm sure everything is okay and as soon as your s/h heals, it'll go away. ...maybe you're moving too much? I know you can't just drop on the couch and not do anything, especially with T.. but just take it easy and I'm sure you'll be fine
Jina - I'm glad you're not having dizzy spells today. I've gotten a little dizzy with the pregnancy, but never like the room spins. That's scary!
DANIELLE !!!!! TOMORROW IS YOUR BIG DAY! Woot, I'm so excited!
Jessica - how was your u/s???
Jessica - I'm so happy for you! What a beautiful little bean! I hope that puts your mind at ease as much as possible.
Danielle, today is D day!!!!! Sending you TONS of positive vibes!!!
Alissa, did the ear specialist do anything for you? I'm thinking this is just a form of m/s? I dunno....I'm still dizzy and slightly nauseous but I'm glad that the room isn't spinning anymore. Ugh! Sorry about the spotting. It's got to be really frustrating. I really hope that it's just the last of the SCH. I think you can make it 3 days in a row!!! Come on!! You can do it!!!
Jessica, awwww! What a sweet little bean!!! Congrats on such an awesome scan!!!
AFM, Not much going on here....I still feel a bit funky so just trying to take it easy. I called and rescheduled my anatomy scan for the 13th instead of the 4th. It was originally scheduled for 17w6d but that just seemed too early. So, I tried to schedule it for the week after but that's the 11th and I didn't want to jinx myself by going in for a scan on 9/11. Yo, I'm crazy like that.
