    Default Initial OB/Gyn Visit

Pretty boring really, just the usual pee in a cup, weight check, and they took blood. I did see the doctor for a few minutes. He asked a some questions about my dates b/c he knows I chart and wanted to know how far along I was. He also scheduled me to come back in 2 weeks for an u/s. So I'll have that Monday, June 29th. I'll just be 6 weeks 1 day but I know we saw the h/b with DS1 at 6 wks 2 days so we'll see.

I should have the test results tomorrow. Hopefully early...so I'll update as soon as I know.

I'm tired today and having some nausea. I think I feel sufficiently preggers today for just over 4 weeks.

Yay! I'm glad for a good appt! Did he have you start on progesterone, or are you waiting for the results of the betas? How exciting that you'll get to see wee babe in just two weeks! Everything crossed to see the h/b that early.

Waiting to see what my prog. results were to decide if I start a supplement. I don't expect to need it but you never know. I looked back at my results with DS2 and my early draws showed progesterone around 30 so hopefully it'll be healthy pregnancy numbers.

Yay for a good appointment! I can't wait for your u/s and beta results. Hopefully you won't need progesterone but if you do it's an easy fix!

Agree with Jina - that's an easy one if you do need it. Let us know how the betas go!

So no results yet...blah! I called and left a message with the nurse mid afternoon and at about 10 til 5 had no call back so I called and dialed the "get a person now" ext. I explained what I was looking for and she put me on hold to get the nurse. My doc. bounces around b/w like 3 locations during the week in the new practice that he has joined so the answer was he wasn't at that location today and had not had a chance to review my results. They were sure he would see them early tomorrow and they will call me then. So, long story short...who am I kidding I can't tell a story short...long story long, I won't get them until tomorrow.

It won't kill me but I wanted to know today.

I don't blame you at all for being impatient. I was ready to march down to my OB's office and camp out when I was playing phone tag about my betas at the beginning of this pregnancy. Do NOT stand between a pregnant lady and news about her bean!!!! Serious business!

Ugh! That sucks! I'd be so mad if I were in your shoes! I'm a pretty impatient person when it comes to time related stuff. I hope you get a call back from your doctor this morning. Please KUP asap!

    Ok, I have the results

This was from Monday, 15 DPO...HCG was 301 and prog. was 15.59

Nurse said he wants me to start a supplement just to be sure. I don't think the progesterone is a dangerous level, personal opinion though, but it certainly can't hurt to start a supplement. They are sending a prescription in now so I can pick it up later. I'm a little scared of the prog. side effects. Those who have been on it...did you have stronger or more symptoms?

Those are great numbers! I agree that your progesterone doesn't seem like it's at a dangerous level (the level varies sooo much from person to person) but there's no such thing as too much progesterone. There's nothing to be scared of...if you're going to be on the suppositories, they may be a bit messy so make sure you wear a liner. The progesterone will intensify your pregnancy symptoms but it's not too bad. The only side effect I didn't really like was the extra bloat. BUT, all worth it, imo!
