Intro and Looking for others PAL

Don't know if there is any chance anyone checks in here but...

I'm pregnant! Yay! I was really hoping to stay relaxed and not worry ... just take it one day at a time and be happy to be preggers each day that goes by. But I am having a hard time today.

I have only known since Thursday night that I was prenant and was convinced I was feeling like I would start my period each day leading up to when I tested. I have only had slight on/off nausea and just don't feel pregnant. I usually get really sick throughout the first half of the pregnancy. It does seem that I had some slight nausea early on with my last successful pregnancy but then thought I didn't feel pregnant between about 4.5 to 6ish weeks, then nausea kicked in full force. I just can't remember for sure and am worried today. Blah! I am ready to be about 24 weeks along, able to feel the baby fairly consistently and past the early u/s's where you don't know what they might find.

Anyone else out there? Please check in if you are. Smile

There are several ladies that are PAL on the TTC after a loss board. Because this board is not very active they have stayed there for support. In order to be sensitive to the people who have recently had losses, they stick to the Chat thread.

Hi Lynn! Bonita is correct, since this board is usually so slow, those of us that were TTC'ing after a loss and are now pregnant still chat on the TTCAL chat thread. Please join us! It will be especially fun to have someone from our bb there to chat with. Smile Or you can PM me if you'd rather chat privately.

Congratulations on your pregnancy!

I totally understand what you're going through. It's so hard to stay relaxed and enjoy your pregnancy after you've had a loss. After 3 miscarriages and a chemical pregnancy, I just couldn't get excited about my current pregnancy. For the first 6 weeks or so, I tried to pretend like I wasn't even pregnant. I tried staying detached but it was really hard not to think about it when I was getting weekly scans. I think your chances are great since you've had 2 successful pregnancies! Just try taking it one day at a time and like you said try to be happy every day that you're pregnant. Please feel free to come join us over at TTCAL chat thread.

Lots of sticky vibes!

Thanks Jina Smile

I'm so happy to see things are going well for you. I've been following you for a while. I think you are doing wonderful to stay sane with all you've been through. I like to consider 2nd tri as 14 weeks just cause then you know your there...looks like you are almost there now. What a great milestone Biggrin

Continued sticky vibes to you too!

Congrats on your pg - I remember how completely terrifying the first trimester and even through week 20 was for me as one of my dear friends lost her multiples at week 20 after I found out I was pg with twins. I hope you join the chat thread on TTCAL. The group there is amazingly supportive!!! And everyone there has been through it and understands what you are feeling.

Thanks for the responses.

Danielle that would have totally scared me too. Just way tooo close to home in your situation. I'm so happy to see how close you are getting and how well things have been going. It won't be long now before you are snuggling your babies. Smile

Alissa, somehow I totally missed your post the other day. I'm claiming pregnancy brain.

Thanks Lynn - I'm just trying to hang on till 36 weeks then i'll start pleading with them to come as I am TIRED of the giant twin belly!!!

Praying for you to have a smooth uneventful first tri....best advice I got from my OB (which I had trouble following) was trust in your body to do what is right. The stress of worry isn't good for you or your LO! She's gotten me this far without complications and she really believes in the power of positive thinking!

Haha...I can imagine! Just 2 more weeks to go and then the begging can begin. Wink
