Here is a pic of the lobby of The Roosevelt Hotel in New Orleans. It was truly magical...the picture does not capture the magic at all.
I unfortunately didn't take a whole lot of pictures since I was too busy having fun...lol. I don't know why I even have a DSLR since I never use the dang thing. Oh well. Anyhoo, the hotel was absolutely amazing. We stayed in a luxury suite and the bathroom was probaby the size of our master bedroom at home! I took a belly pic in there and I'll post it in a bit. hehe.
We ate so much good food but I only managed to get a pic of our first meal in New Orleans. We went to Parkway Po-Boys and OMGosh, it was amazing! President Obama ate there! lol
I had the shrimp po-boy with turkey and alligator gumbo and M had the catfish po-boy with fries. The food was seriously to die for. We had to stand in line for about an hour just to place our order and then wait another 15 minutes or so to get our food but it was totally worth it!
Oh my gosh Jina!!!!! You look adorable (and so chic! LOL) How stinking cute are you????
Wow, that hotel looks AMAZING! I hope that you had a wonderful time!!!!
Here is me, today, in our lovely work bathroom. I feel so HUGE already. I'm kind of scared of what I am going to look like at 40 weeks. I do NOT remember being this big this early on with T.....
Again, sorry if it is huge.
We went to Oak Alley Plantation and it was very beautiful there and the guided tour was fun too. I didn't really get good pics but I think M did. Anyhoo...here is one that was on my phone. Just look at how big the oak trees are! They are 300 years old and their life span is 600 so imagine how much bigger they'll be in another 300 years!
Oh and you can see why the plantation is named Oak Alley. The trees pictured here are only about 150 years old.
We must have been posting at the same time!
Jina, how gorgeous!!! I've never been to NO, but this definitely makes me want to go. It looks breath taking. How long were you and M there?
We were there for 4 days. It was not long enough...I wish we could have stayed for a whole week. There is so much to see and eat that I don't even know if a week is enough but then again, M and I have a bad habit of being super lazy when we're on vacation (Plus being pregnant slowed us down too...lol). We'll be going back again for sure. The first time we went we were just teenagers and were only interested in drinking and partying...lol. This time we really wanted to explore the city and so glad that we got a taste of it. We went to the aquarium, insectarium, the US mint museum and WW2 museum. Ate at tons of wonderful restaurants and went down to bourbon street and it was PACKED! There was a football game and it was Thanksgiving weekend so a lot of people were in town. We seriously had to wait in line for everything....so if standing in lines isn't your thing, I suggest you go when it's not so busy!
It sounds like you had a wonderful time, and got to take advantage of my favorite part of any vacation away from home (trying the food!!!!) That's so great that you got to get away and spend some time together before the baby is born. You won't be going anywhere alone for a long while pretty soon.
Oh my gosh, that hotel looks fantastic!!! I'm glad you had a good time and got to enjoy the food and the city this time! Your baby bump looks fantastic!
Alissa, you're not huge. You look great! I still have to wear certain clothes to even look pregnant. Since I'm....big, I've always worn big clothes, so now I just look bigger. LMAO
Jessica - I'm sure you look adorable. You must look pregnant if people are rubbing your belly.
