What is the first thing you bought or will buy for this baby?
I have a sling and a basket of blankets and a stuffed zebra that I bought during my last pregnancy, but I don't think that totally counts since I bought it last pregnancy (although I will happily use the stuff with this baby.) Other than a couple of belly bands to help me fit my Twilight Belly in my pants and the doppler to keep me sane, the only thing I have bought so far this pregnnacy is a nursing cover, because I got a deal on it. I can't believe I nursed T for almost 14 months without a cover last time! I would usually skulk in my car when I needed to NIP with T (I know, I know, I should have just whipped 'em out for The Cause...lol!!!) So that's it so far. I'm kind of waiting to find out the sex before I buy a lot, since I have 4 years and counting worth of boy stuff. No matter what the sex, we will use the same car seats, stroller, high chair, et cetera, and most baby toys and books are pretty gender neutral anyway, so we are pretty set on baby stuff other than possibly getting some girl clothes and some cute girly decorations for the nursery if this baby shocks everyone by being a girl.

It's great that you have most of the stuff you need already. I'm glad you kept everything....very smart! My BIL and SIL got rid of all of their baby stuff so they have to re-buy everything. Eeek! Oh and Girl clothes are so freaking cute. I love buying clothes for my neices. They are so fun to shop for. I like shopping for girl stuff more than boy stuff but I'm probably just biased. M claims that boy stuff is so much cooler than girl stuff. When do you think you'll find out? Do you think you'll go get an early gender scan or wait for the anatomy scan?
LOL@ just whipping the BBs out to nurse. I'm a pretty modest person so I don't think I could NIP even with a cover. I'll probably have to hide out in the car with a giant blanket. LOL
LOL...yeah I couldn't ever NIP either. I did the nurse in the vehicle thing too. I think any women should be able to NIP with no comments or crazy looks but I think it's all about a lady being able to do what she is most comfortable with and for me that was not NIP
I think there are plenty of great ladies out there whipping em out for the cause. I've never been a big activist.
Although I will say I was much more comfortable nursing, in somewhat exposed situations, with DS2 than I was with DS1. So who knows...maybe I will be able to do it the 3rd time around.
