Spotting - Test Results Update post 29 (m/c mentioned)

Last night I went to the restroom and there was some very light pink discharge when I wiped. Sad I wore a liner today and have had some brown spotting and is still pink when I wipe. I picked up another test today just to see...using the dollar store tests since that was what I originally tested with and wanted to be able to compare to my previous results. The test line was still nice and dark so that's good, I guess, but I've never had spotting before...even with my loss. I am having a hard time feeling this can be anything that is ok. Especially since my symptoms have been mild since the beginning and I think have even decreased in the last few days.

I'm totally bummed and sad.

There's a ton of people on here that have some sort of spotting and everything is fine. I've had two losses...and I didn't "spot".. I was bleeding. I wouldn't be too concerned about it unless it picked up into a period-like flow.

I wish you all the luck in the world. Losses suck.

:bigarmhug: I know it is hard not to worry. I have had spotting at some point in all of my pg's. Even my girls. Call the doctor in the AM for peace of mind, but generally speaking pink and brown is ok. Red is bad. (Not necessarily the end, but something to get looked at for sure) TMI, but if you have DTD recently, there is increased blood flood during pregnancy and irritation can case light spotting then turns brown once it is old.

Well the spotting makes two of us. I am sorry to hear this. Hope things clear up. Try not to stress although I know how hard it is to not do. Just try. Always stay positive. DH is my positive side, since I am the analytical side. Always observing and analyzing things for what they really are and because I know what is normal and not I automatically assume the worst. While he is optimistic and always try's to keeps me positive when I know better otherwise.

AFM, "spotting" is continuing...although it really isn't enough to spot a liner it's mostly just there when I wipe. But, it has moved from pink to more red. I have a call in to the nurse at my docs office. I'm hoping they call me back and have me come in for an u/s but not sure what to expect. I am not feeling positive though...I just can't help but feel it is over since I don't feel pregnant as far as symptoms go. Add on the spotting and I'm thinking it just all makes sense.

Oh Lynn, I'm so sorry you're going through this. I really hope the spotting is nothing. There are a lot of reasons why you could be spotting and it doesn't automatically mean a m/c. Please KUP asap. I will keep you in my thoughts and send you lots of sticky vibes!!!! ((((((HUGS))))))

Oh sweetheart, I'm so sorry you have to go through this stress. I agree with Jina that spotting (even red) doesn't necessarily mean a loss, but I can completely understand why it would scare you and make you feel bummed out. I hope they call you back today. Please keep us posted. You are in my thoughts today. ((((BIG HUG))))

I know, just stay positive and KUP. Maybe symptoms are not as strong today as other days and you just are over thinking the situation because you are spotting. ZERO STRESS!

Have you heard back from your drs office yet?

Yes, I called them again when I left the office to update the change in my bleeding and someone called me right back that time. Had me come in for bloodwork...so did that and they'll call me tomorrow with results.

I just can't imagine this is anything but a m/c at this point. Discharge started as pink tinged, moved to redder and is now dark red with clots when I go to the restroom. The way it is progressing with no start/stop says m/c to me. I'm extremely sad, this was a very pleasant surprise that seemed to be just perfect timing and I would have been due within days of my sister. I just hope DH agrees to at least not prevent and just see what happens after this is over.

I'll let you know when I hear more from the docs. Sad

Oh Lynn, I'm so sorry you are going through this. I agree with Bonita, rest as much as possible put your feet up, and try to relax as much as you can. Are they going to do an u/s?

Thanks ladies...you are all so sweet. Smile

Regarding the u/s, they didn't say what the plan is. I'm thinking maybe if the numbers come back high enough if they'll have me come on in for an u/s...or if too low just a repeat blood draw.

Pretty sure I had a complete m/c last night. Still waiting on the results from the doc today but I don't really think it matters. Sad

I'm ok, sad of course, but ok. Now tonight I begin the discussion with DH...he just has to agree to let us not prevent and see what happens. If he doesn't...I guess I'll have to make him agree; let the guilt trip begin, lol. J/K, well mostly. Wink

I'll be keeping up with all of you and can not wait to read about the births of each of your little ones. Biggrin

Thank you all for your support....it really helps. :thanks:

I have some good news today. A little back story, I've mentioned before I have been trying to convince DH to go for baby #3 but he has not been willing. This was a surprise pregnancy, I think I probably O'd a week earlier than I expected so we weren't trying to get pregnant. So last night DH and I had a few moments to talk while kiddos were strapped in their seats coming back from wallyworld. I said you know I still want another baby and he says "You got it! We can't go out on this note." He said it so enthusiastically too, like he is truly all in and wanting to go for it now. I really didn't know what to expect and was so afraid that a surprise pregnancy that didn't come to fruition would somehow solidify his resolve to not have another one. I really cannot express how great it made me feel when he said that. It's making me cry right now just writing it down. So once my body gets ready which I expect to happen quickly with an early, natural m/c we are going to JLIH. This is what I have been trying to talk him into instead of full blown TTC, which I'm sure you all know can be stressful. I really want to take a laid back approach with our last baby. Anyway just had to share Smile

Also, small update, talked to the nurse late yesterday, she is supposed to call me back this morning and finalize the details but doc wants to see me on Thursday and do an u/s. They also want me to come in and do follow up blood work either today or thursday. She didn't have my results from Monday when we talked but I hope to know those today. I am still curious what they were.

Lynn,
That is so wonderful that your DH is so supportive and so ready to JLIH now! It sounds like you guys are going to be on track with #3 really soon, and you sound really positive which is a great thing. I know that this whole process still must be really painful and stressful, and I hope that you are doing okay in the meantime. Please keep us posted on the outcomes of all of your tests.

Ditto to everything Alissa said!

I hope you'll stick around or visit us if it's not too painful for you. I know I really enjoy having you around. I hope to see a sticky bfp from you really soon! (((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))

Just talked to the nurse. On Monday my progesterone was 5.39 and HCG was 4,639. I have my appointment Thursday at 11:15 EST. Curious what the doc has to say about my numbers...prog seems really low. :/

That does sound low. Well, if that turns out to be the reason, that's a very easy fix for next time. I'm on progesterone supplements myself and it's not bad at all (although it makes your boobs sore before you even get your bfp...)

Also ditto to what Jina said, I hope you'll at least drop by from time to time until you get your bfp (or better yet, stay, if it's not too painful) because I will miss chatting with you.

Please let us know how your appt goes!

Whith my last m/c my progesterone was really low. That made it so that when I got pg with Caitlyn we tested it right away. It was a 6. They got me on supplements and she went on to be a healthy almost 3 year old.

Big hugs. Whether or not you stay on this board, we would love to have you over on the ttcal board. I have been deserted over there. This board gives me baby fever and my tubes are tied Smile

Lynn, the progesterone level seems low but your HCG seems right on target for around 5 weeks. Are you getting an u/s at your appointment today? I agree with everyone, progesterone supplements are pretty easy to take, a little messy, but easy. Please KUP!

Bonita, please join us in the chat thread and stick around here! I miss chatting with you so much. It's okay to have baby fever...as far as I'm concerned, you're an expecting mom via foster/adpotion! Biggrin

Thank you. You all are sweet.

I took pogesterone in oral pill form. Expensive little pills, but so worth it.

Sounds much less messy...I like that idea.

Ok, so my final update...
the u/s showed no sign of pregnancy in my uterus or anywhere else...sad but good news too. I'm just so glad everything cleared on it's own and I don't have to worry about possibly still needing a d&c. Doc didn't even want to have more bloodwork, he was confident everything is ok. He sat and talked with me for a while, his official recommendation is wait 3 cycles but I told him I felt comfortable with not preventing and just see what happens. Especially since it was a fairly early m/c and my body cleared it with no help and he agreed it really shouldn't be a problem. He also told me to call as soon as I get pregnant again and come in for blood work. He wants to get me on a prog supplement ASAP if the numbers are borderline at all. Otherwise he just said he hopes to see me back soon.

Thanks ladies for all your support and kind words. I hope to be back here pretty soon although I'm sure I'll continue to post here until it really picks up with other PAL ladies. I'll be keeping up with you all and hoping for a continuing HH9M's for each of you. Smile

Lynn I'm so glad that you didn't have to go through the D&C and that you and your doc and DH are all on the same page about letting it happen. I hope that you get AF quickly, and that JLIH means that it happens sooner rather than later. Smile I'm also on the oral progesterone pills, and they are definitely no big deal, you just take them before bed. Oh I am so glad that you are going to keep hanging out with us! I will be so psyched when you get your bfp!

I'm glad he's going to be testing your progesterone. I'm also happy that you'll be hanging around! I hope that we can share your ttc journey and hope you get a sticky bfp soon!!! ((((HUGS))))

Too neat. I wonder if we have ever seen each other and not know it?
