So I had my appt yesterday with my new OB office ...I really like the atmosphere of this place. They are all very nice and very upbeat, unlike my MW, not like I had a problem with that but once I saw how everyone there was it made me realize that I DO NOT want to go back even though I did like her. We had a quick peek and he thought one was a boy and the other one "could" be a girl. I got a few of my questions answered as far as delivery, like if I have to deliver in the cesearean room and their epidural procedure with twins. I do have to delivery in the cesearen O.R. and the epidural she said wasnt "required' but it kinda is at the same time for a "just in case" needing to do an emergency c-sect. I am "ok" with the epi requirement I just dont want it to stall me like it did with my son. Now i have to think of more questions for my next appt when i get my BIG ultrasound on 7/7. My hubby usually goes to all appts with me, he works that day and is going to ask for the PM off..if not my coworker (we are close friends/related) to go along!
ooh, forgot a few things! I also asked about delivering if one is breech, they said they will let me as long as Baby A is head down, they will either try to delivery breech or, move the baby B after A is delivery which is what i was hoping for the possibilty of....
any other important questions I may want answered at my next visit.?? i am not sure what to ask lol
Wow - sounds like a good appt. I am really glad you like your new place too
I am a bit jealous that you may be having one of each. That is what I was secrectly hoping for.
Yay for a good appt! Good questions, too.
I would also find out where the NICU is in relation to where you will be delivering. Not really sure how to word the question, but I wanted to know what would happen if one was having problems and had to be taken away. I wanted to see them before that if possible, and I wanted to know if DH could follow. Find out if there is any reason why they might have to go to another hospital after delivery. Our hospital was a great hosp-- excellent maternity ward with the NICU out front and all new stuff. But there is another hospital strictly for women and children that had something that might have been needed. I don't remember now what it was, but I'm glad we didn't have to go. It has both a good and bad rep iykwim.
I also wanted to know if I could keep them in the room with us if they were ok.
That's all I can think of right now. HTH
