    Default ? about NST

    OK so I have never had a NST with any of my other pregnancies. Can anyone just tell me what to expect. I do know that I have to go to the hospital for it because its twins, but will I have to change clothing...I am just clueless about this!

    I had one a couple weeks ago becuase of lack of movement and they had me change into a gown. I think my lasted maybe 20 minutes. You don't have to do anything, I feel asleep!

    The NST' in the dr's office they put me in a room with a recliner and a tv. I sat in the recliner for 20 - 40 min (depending on how the babies were behaving) watching tv. They would turn out the lights for me if I wanted to nap.

    When I had to go to L&D for NST's they would put me in a bed and give me the controls for the tv. They did not make me change clothes for scheduled NST's. If they thought I might be in labor or had problems, they would put me in a gown.

    I did NSTs at the hospital and was already in a gown, but I believe I did a few in clothes after appts as well. They basically just have three monitors on your belly, one on each baby's heartbeat and one on your uterus measuring contractions.
