Atypical Preeclampsia? :(

Ugh....so at my appt on Tuesday my OB was a bit concerned because I had protein in my urine. He ran some blood work and checked for UTI (negative) and told me to come back today.

My DH and I didn't think too much of it, but today he said I have a "lot" of protein in my urine, but my BP remains its usual low (110/70).

I am however, taking Procardia for my constant contractions, which could be lowering my BP.

He considered hospitalization (AAAAAAHHHH) but instead did an NST and is bumping up my MFM appt to tomorrow. Plus, I am getting to do the 24 hour urine test. What a *joy*.

Help ladies!!! I am not ready. OB was trying to be reassuring that the babies would be ok if he needs to deliver them, but I so wanted to make it to 35/36 weeks minimum. Obviously, the health of babies and me is the most important....he reminded me my age is a factor as well.

My poor DH. His father died somewhat unexpectedly on Monday so he is still very distraught over that and now this.

Wish me luck!!! OB says at best he will be monitoring me very closely--worse---hospital--or deliver LO's.:eek: I am SO NOT READY!!!!

I responded on the November board but it's worth repeating that you're doing a great job of keeping on top of the contractions and everyone's health, even with a lot of extra stressors for your family this week. And for the nausea, is there any foods that you could handle well during that first trimester? Popsicles at least?

See if you can keep those babies in today. Tomorrow you can worry about tomorrow. And let your OB reassure you -- if they're born now, they'll be fine!! Everything at home will get sorted out, let everyone help you.

:bigarmhug: Wow! Those are a lot of stressors on your family. I agree. Take it one day at a time. Your MFM wants you to get those babies as close to term as possible. He will not recommend delivery unless it is absolutely necessary. Will you have another NST tomorrow or is your MFM just going to look over the one from today?

So sorry for your loss. The way I looked @ the doctors won't take the babies unless absolutely necessary and that they babies are healthy enough. And can you ever really be ready for twins? Take care, you are doing awesome and I hope you can keep those babies baking a little longer.
