You do look great Ava! I remember how my belly would grow right after a meal. Pretty soon it won't do that any more. It will just STAY huge! Congrats!

YAY!!! Thanks all for posting their belly pics and thank you for everyone's kind comments! I am happy to see other belly pics too because I just want to see how others with multiples are doing. I feel like I'm huge and on the singleton forums you just can't compare apples to oranges. ha ha ha well in my case you can't compare my basketball to their apples!

Disa Cole I love the belly pix!!!! You look great! How are you feeling? Does the growth curve slow down ever? I feel like I'm just growing and growing right now, does that eventually slow down in the 3rd trimester? Did you have to go shopping a lot of clothes? I'm already outgrowing some of the cute clothes I bought just a few weeks ago. Sad

Hey Ava Biggrin

To be honest, the growth hasn't slowed down, you get maybe a 2 week lull and then it just explodes again in growth. The funny thing is, at christmas I felt like I was huge and couldn't get bigger....same at 27 weeks....*lol*

I'm lucky enough that there is a girl in my appartment building that has twins, and when she saw the size of me she came by and offered me all her third trimester maternity clothes. She has saved my life ! Because in truth, none of my maternity clothes fit anymore. The trousers are fine if they are under the belly ones, but the tops just don't cover the bump anymore..some so called maternity tops don't even cover half of it, hehe. But it will all be worth it. I'll admit, I'm getting tired, and my body is getting tired....but in a few short weeks I'll be a mommy Wink

Best of luck !!!!

You are almost there!!! yay congrats and good luck to you also! thanks for the heads up on the clothing. Maybe I'll go and buy some the largest shirts I can find and have them ready for the near future. I'm mad that I already outgrew some cute shirt I just bought! All I can do is laugh, this growth is amazing! Lol

NURSERY before and after

Here is the preliminary plans for the nursery....

Ok the babies will be in our bedroom with us (we only have a 1 bedroom condo). The bedroom really is much bigger than the pictures make it look. We haven't bought a single nursery thing for the room yet! But firstly I want to paint their wall.

We decided to get 2 lifetime cribs. They may also end up in bed with me nursing in the middle of the night if it gets really hectic with both wanting to nurse all night long. So I included a pic of our California King cuz they may be sleeping there too! Wink

Again please excuse the junk pile. How horrible. Posting these pics have really lit a fire under my butt to organize that pile of junk and start looking at paints.

I will update with photos of the progress.

Babies' side of the room. The 2 cribs and changing table we're looking at will just exactly fit end to end on this wall:

Where the glider will go:

Or they will end up in bed with me!

HI all - I'm totally nesting yet totally exhausted at the same time.

I decorated a cardboard letter A I picked up at a scrapbooking store with the wall border. My DH painted the wall. We went with a very pale green, but it really gets washed out in photos. Anyways, he got the 2 cribs together and we actually got one of the bedding sets at our shower. I thought I wasn't going to be able to afford to get the other bedding but I ended up selling all of my bearded dragons (bye bye pets!) and their tanks for about $600 so I had some spending $$, yay!

Dresser is full of second hand clothing - thank goodness for these!

Are you putting both in one crib? I have thought about this too. How long do you think or are you just going to wait and see?

Just wondering. LIke I said I have thought of this too. I actually read somewhere, probably here, that someone had two cribs and used one as the changing table because her babies liked to sleep together so much....nursery furniture. that will be fun. Expensive but fun!

We are actually decided to get 2 cribs right from the start. We are going with the lifetime cribs. I do plan to try to sleep them together in one crib, but the second one will not be a waste because I can convert it to a toddler bed / twin bed.

If they seem like they don't want to sleep together, then at least I will already have the 2nd crib there and ready to separate them.

yep...

That is what we will do too. we got a lifetime crib for DD and will do the same for these babies. I am just curious to see if they want to sleep with each other or not.

Thanks for your response!

Thanks, Heather Ann!

We're hoping on only using the one crib for a while. We are going to startt with both babies in a co-sleeper by the big bed downstairs, then transition to both babies in the one crib with me in the double bed in their room. We have another crib in the basement that hubby can throw together in about 1/2 hour if need be, and I'm sure eventually we'll need to do that. Hopefully by then they will be sleeping in their room alone, and we can get rid of the double bed and have plenty of room for the second crib!

A little bit about me....DH, Brad, and I were married in May of 2000. He wanted to start right away trying to start a family. I wanted to wait a bit. Had I known how hard thigns would be...I would have started then. After 2 years of marriage we began to try, thinking that all we would have to do would be DTD and eventually all would work out. Well not so much for us. After many tests and drugs and about 2 years...one miscarriage and many disappointments, a DX of PCOS, we stopped trying. It was too much on my body and too much emotionally.

That January 2004 I had a cyst rupture, I also began to work on losing weight and just taking some maintenance drugs for my PCOS. On April 24th we found out we were pg with our daughter.

What a blessing. She was born in January 2005 by c-section 2 weeks past her due date. We found out within a couple of days that she had Craniosynostosis of the metopic suture. Basically the suture that runs down the middle of the forehead was already fused shut when she was born. She had to have major surgery when she was 4 months old to correct this.
Before:

You can see how her little forehead was peaked looking.
After:

a little blurry and she is still a little puffy but you can see how her forehead changed.

She is a perfectly fine 2.5 year old today, eagerly awaiting becoming a big sister. which brings me to why I am posting on the November 2007 birth board. Smile

We decided not to do anything to prevent a pregnancy after Josey but also that if after she was 2 years old we were not pg we would re-visit our RE to begin to more actively try again. In May of 2006 I revisited the PCOS clinic that I had been attending, met with a nutritionist and started trying to get my body ready for the process of getting pregnant. I lost 30 pounds, no before and after sorry!, and began to take maintenance drugs more faithfully again. In December we did our first round with the oral fertility drug that my body responds too but in too small a dose. I did not ovulate and was pretty disappointed as I thought this may make things tougher this time around. I was not sure I could go through all that again.

In February I started again. I took the drug and we "timed" it all correctly. This cycle was weird and I was sure it was a bust. I felt really bloated and in pain around the time I should be ovulating so I called the clinic to let them know that I thought I had a cyst and could I just come in for a P4 to make sure I had ovulated. The nurse told me she thought I had O'ed twice....I thought she was nuts! :-?

I went in for my P4 and it was through the roof, 50 to be exact. This meant I had definitely O'ed and even possibly had O'ed twice as the nurse thought. That Wed. I took a pg test and it came back positive. I was elated but surprised, my DH asked if it was a real positive...still not sure what he was thinking. Lol I told him that I only knew of real ones.

We found out at 7 weeks that there were two babies in there....I had started wondering. I got pretty big pretty fast, I had some exaggerated symptoms but overall was just an instinct that something was different.

And here we are. Wink Here are some pics of my belly progression.

you may notice that the background has changed. we moved the armoire that was there and that space now houses my very cute but teeny, tiny desk. once the room is all nice and clean, i'll post a pic of that area.

No, it would let me put all of my pictures if I wanted to. I wonder if it's the type of slideshow you selected...I'll have a look at mine when I get home later.
