    Default Hi ladies

I feel stupid asking this question at such an early time in my pregnancy, but I'm not sure who else to ask.

I'll be 5 weeks tomorrow, so I shouldn't feel my uterus at all. But when lying down on my back or reclining, I can feel it just above my pubic bone, about where it usually is about 7 or 8 weeks. I know my LMP is correct, so I'm beginning to wonder. Have any of you experienced this before?

This twin pregnancy is my first pregnancy so I had nothing to compare it to. My first ultrasound only detected one baby just before 6 weeks and I had no suspicions before my doctor discovered the second kid during a 12-week ultrasound.

I'm nearly 11 wks pregnant with triplets. This is my first pregnancy, but I didn't start to "feel" pregnant until week 6. I'm still sleeping comfortably on my stomach at night. But everyone is different.

The size of your uterus can change with the number of pregnancies you have had. Every pregnancy is different as well. Where the placenta is positioned might make a slight difference as well. The only way to know if it is mulitiples is via an u/s. There really isn't any other indicator.

Thanks ladies. This is my 9th pregnancy (several miscarriages with 5 live births), so it's unusual for me to feel anything this early. I appreciate your replies.

I was unable to fit into my jeans @ 5 weeks but it was more due to the excessive bloating. Personally I knew right away (intuitation) but twins are also very common in my family.

Twins are common in my family as well. I was a twin. I have twin cousins in my generation. And my great aunt had 3 sets of twins. So another set is due soon. After having 5 singletons and 3 miscarriages, you start to think if this time will be it.

Oh my goodness ... in that case ... welcome!

I see why you've got suspicions, at least!
