I have had cramping throughout this entire pregnancy, as I assume everyone else has simply because our uterus is expanding so fast. Lately though, I have had A LOT of cramping. Almost non stop. Sometimes the pain is just annoying more than anything and others its actually quite painful (making me remember the pain involved with labour and scarign the crap out of me!). I have been timing them and have noticed sometimes they came rhythmically (sp) and others its random timing. And I haven't noticed any tightening assoicated with the cramping. Is it normal this far along? I know that they are probably BH but I don't remember getting them this much with my daughter.
I have been having more and more BH/ctx... I do get cramping @ times, but not too bad. My OB told me this week that if I get 5 or more BH/ctx per hour to touch base or go to L&D.... of course I will try all other means to get them to stop 1st.
Right now my fundal height is at 44wks, so he sd that the ctx will start soon, b/c that is the bodies way of handling the uterus been so over stretched!
Dh says that he would like them to say put for another 6-8 wks... oh hells NO! LOL
I told him then he can carry them and do EVERYTHING around the house! I say 4 or 5 wks tops! My legs and feet are swelling SO badly that flip flops are getting tight Plus, like the orginal topic, the BH and ctx are getting annoying! Never had any prodominal labor with my others, so I dont like this! LOL
I'm about to make this all about me when it's totally shouldn't be ...
I admit I'm jealous that you both are at the point now that keeping those puppies in is a matter of keeping them out of the NICU, but all the babies should be good! That said, UGH ... not looking forward to those contractions! I really do appreciate hearing the discussions from 10-12 weeks ahead for my own sake. I hope you ladies have a good day of baby baking today!
I do think more BH's are common in twin pregnancy. I know I had a ton of them and with DD I didn't have any. They were very annoying and painful at times - but hey, it is a sign you are starting to get close to the end
