I have a question you ladies may be able to help me with

Hi all
I hope you are all well and happy.

I just had a text from a friend who has a friend who has one set of twins and has been told she has an 89% chance of having another set on her next pregnancy.
Apparetly she is a habitual double egg releaser...and the question is...
If she releases 2 eggs on a regular basis would this mean she may have early menopause?
I assume that when you are born your body already knows if you are someone who will have numerous sets of twins and release extra eggs so the body allows for it...but that is only my thinking.
shes 35 if that is useful info or just a bit of tat I threw in.

Anyway...anyone have any idea?

I imagine it shouldn't have anything to do with early menopause. Women are born with a couple million eggs. Not all of them will mature to become a viable egg to be released during fertile years, but with such an insanely huge surplus, throwing out an extra egg sometimes wouldn't deplete her supply.

The 89% thing seems like an oddly precise number.

Yeah it is precise isn't it... Just what her doc said I presume.

I agree. I highly doubt it's a sign of early menopause, especially if she's having no other symptoms. Of course, we don't know her age, or anything else about the matter.

I was 24 when I conceived my twins, and I am NOT going through menopause! In short, I wouldn't take the one sign as anything but for what it is - she's just a double egg releaser. :vibes:

Sorry... I must have phrased it wrong... I din't say it was a sign off early menopause... I asked if she releases double eggsxa lot could it bring on early menopause?
But I know that's not the case now.

I knew women we born with their allotment of eggs, but I did not know it was a couple million. You learn something every day. lol. :) and 89% sounds so high to me, but I do know a girl that has had 4 successful pregnancies (I don't know about miscarriages). She has 2 sets of twins, and one of the singles was supposed to be a twin also. ;)
