I posted this on my November board but thought you ladies would
have some more insight.
What are the chances that the tech would miss a 2nd baby on a dating ultrasound at 6 weeks??? Tonight I was using my doppler and I swear I could hear a heart rate on the left side between 130 to 150, and then moved it around a bit and heard a heart beat on the right side between 140 and 160. My husband thinks I'm nuts.... that its one baby, and at one angle I could hear it, but not get as accurate of a reading, and on the other side I was just picking it up better. What do you guys think? I'm kinda freaking myself out here lol
My great grandpa was a twin I believe, but thats the only twins I know of any where in my family history. There are NO twins on my husband's side... and I have never used fertility med or any sort of fertility type treatments... so I dont know that I am at a high risk for twins.
I'm really nervous because of my history of preterm contractions and early babies (DS2 was born at 36 weeks, and DD was induced at 36 weeks and 5 days for low amnio)... also, I have OI, a vertebra out of place in my back, and am only 4ft 9in. I was going into this pregnancy looking forward to a smooth pregnancy with only a 40% chance of "complications"... I'm afraid that having 2 babies in there would just completely change the ball game... so to speak.
I really admire moms who are able to carry and raise twins. A friend of mine went to have #4 and ended up having #4 and #5, and another friend of mine went in to the ER with abdominal only to find out that she was pregnant... with twins lol. I am just on edge :(
