Thread: just about 30 weeks ...

After riding the wave with Shelia to the end (we think)

I am beginning to think about how in the heck am I going to make it to 38 wks, for the already scheduled c-section. I know that is the goal but at almost 30 weeks, egad it seems like an eternity away. At least it is Christmas season right now and that will offer a ton of distraction. but January is when I am most worried about...

When did you all have hospital bags packed? I am starting to think about what to take this time...

Although it feels good that now we are in December, my neighbor asked when they are due I happily said "next month" !!

I packed the babies around 32 weeks..mine..the night before I went in for my induction! You can do it. I made it to 36 and 3 but I know I could I have made it to my original induction date (a week later). Like you said, Christmas will be a distraction, and who knows, maybe they'll come a little earlier (we hope not...but maybe). you're doing awesome Mama, you can make it. I know its hard but just keep thinking, the longer they are in your belly, the less likely they'll be in the NICU.

Hmm.. I think I did not pack (hospital bedrest at 31wks and home bedrest at 28wks), so I just had ppl bring me things as needed, so pack now. lol

Well, I was really late about it. I first started gathering a few things at about 32 weeks but then actually got it together at about 36 weeks. Then we decided we needed a new car so we bought that FOUR HOURS before I went into labor and installed the car seats a mere two hours before labor! I'm fairly certain the babies just didn't want to be seen in a 20-year-old car on their first car ride.

I was driving a 99 2 door 5 speed Honda Civic when we found out we were having twins. I had been bugging DH for a new vehicle for a while and he swears I got pregnant with twins just to get a new vehicle. I swear though, you'll never have a big enough vehicle for twins. We have a 7 seater SUV and NO ROOM. There is two seats in the back that fold down for more trunk space and DD1 sits there, so DD1 tells everyone she sits in the trunk!
