I had loads of contractions at 16 weeks and that's when I was told to stop swimming and otherwise exercising. Later, the contractions were pretty well under control and I really only got them if I did too much exercise like walking around a Home Depot. I have now been back at work for three days and coincidentally have had a lot of contractions for three days. I called to ask the nurse at my doctor's office how else I can limit the contractions. It turns out you can't say "contractions" if you're having twins. They put me on hold for like 15 seconds and then came back to tell me that my paperwork had already been sent over and I needed to get to labor and delivery? "What?! I'm not in labor. But, but, but ... gah." There was no excuse working and I went down there saying, "Hi. I'm not in labor." They attempted to monitor the babies but they were wiggling too much so they just monitored my contractions. "Yup, you're having contractions." My cervix is fine, just like I knew it was from my appointment just a few days ago, and I was annoyed to still be there. "Ok, go back to work. No exercise. No sex." Nothing new but a waste of time!
