    Default Maternity Pics/3D US?

Anyone planning or already had maternity pictures taken or 3/4D ultrasounds? I was trying to figure out when the best time to take these are. I was looking for ultrasounds they give recommendations for twins 22 weeks through I want to say 26 weeks is the best time but I was just wondering what others have done. I would like to try to get some pictures - maternity and the lutrasound done by the end of next month so I can send them to my DH in Afghanistan in time for Fathers Day. I will be so glad when he gets home... just in time for me to be big enough to be able to do NOTHING LOL and then at least he will be here for the birth..

I lurk aorund on this board, but its always so quiet.... just making conversation to pick it up a bit! Hope everyone is doing well!!

Yay for hubby coming home and being here for the birth

With the twins I had maternity pics done @ 24 weeks because I was showing enough for pics, but was still small enough the belly was still cute. I didnt pay for 3D u/s with the twins but with DD1 I had them done at I think 28 weeks, but its obviously different for twins. The hospital here gave us pics with every u/s and they did some great 3D ones so I didnt feel the need to pay for them. we literally have a photo album of just u/s pics for the babes!

No maternity pics here but I would love to get a 3d done. Previously my Dr. said I couldnt bc baby boy lost his fluid but he seems to be building it back up so maybe I can get one around 26 weeks

I know some photographers will come to the hospital for babies, maybe they will come for maternity pics. I know I regretted not getting maternity pics with DD1, so although I felt huge and gross I still got pics done.

I could not justify the cost of the 3d, but kind of wish I had. Though I must say my regular u/s with these boys were much clearer than the ones I got with my older two. I had really wanted to do maternity photos, but had not got them done by 28wks when I ended up on bedrest, and then in the hospital for 4wks of bedrest 3 wks later. Thankfully I got to come home the week of Christmas, and the day before my scheduled c/s we set up the tripod and auto timer and took some. They are not fabulous, but I love them, and they are all I got, so they are great. lol. I love maternity photos!!

Just for fun, here was one of my weekly belly shots I took.

and a few of our auto timer or dh taken photos

unedited, never have found much time to play with these.. imagine that with twins. lol

and our last night being a family of just four, that one I managed to edit.

I didn't want professional photos but there are various photos of me while pregnant just out and doing stuff. Twin pregnancies involve so many ultrasounds that I didn't want to subject the belly contents to a 3D one just for kicks.

It is possible that you will get a 3D U/S later on in your pregnancy while you are being monitored. I have several 3D pics of my girls from later in the pregnancy. My perinatalogist recommends 3D U/S late in the pregnancy (32 weeks or later) because the babies have more fat and it makes the 3D images more clear and distinct. I am sure you could pay for it if you want, but you really will have so many U/S. I need to go and organize my pictures for each girl. Not sure what to do with the pics where they are both in them.

We put together a couple of little books with a few pictures. They're mostly individual but we chose who got which picture of both of them based on who was in front, who I was looking at, who was looking at the camera, and/or who looked cutest in that picture.
