    Default Morning spent in L&D

Well I had my NST at 9am this morning in L&D at the hospital I want to deliver in. My dr was oncall so was there this morning.

While on the machines I was contracting every 2-3 minutes and for approx 40 sec in length. Both boys looked good though. After my hour of monitoring the nurses unhooked me but when they checked with my dr she said not to let me go. She wanted the nurses to check me and make sure the contrax weren't doing anything, give me an IV of fluids and monitor me for another hour and then recheck me.

Well, I was a fingertip dialated before and after. The fluids did slow my contrax down some and made them less intense and less regular, so I was allowed to leave after another hour of monitoring.

The nurse I had was the same one I had when I had DD. She told me she hasn't had a set of twins on her shift in over 2 yrs (our hospital won't take any babies born before 36 weeks). I am bound and determined to make it until at least Friday. On Friday I will be 36 weeks. Now I just have to keep these contrax away for a few more days.

You're almost there, you must be getting nervous/excited. I'm sending baby baking thoughts your way to keep them in there a little longer. Good luck when everything does happen.

Geesh what a long AM just to get sent home! Did you know that you were having ctx? I am definately noticing an increased amount of BH, but no true ctx yet.

I am here - just holding my breath.

Yesterday I didn't feel many contrax. This morning though is another story. I have had a couple of stronger contrax the last 10 min. I need to get some water. I am soooo close. I would hate to be one or two days shy of making it to my goal and end up at the hospital 2 hrs away.

My DH isn't much of a pamperer.
He seems to think I should be able to do whatever I did before I got prego. He is clueless.

If you have one who does bend over backwards for you, you should be thankful.

My Dh is the same way although what is sad is that he thinks he does!

Maybe it is partly because we haven't been married "all that long" (3 yr anniversary coming up) but my DH would be happy to keep me in bed on bed rest until the twins come!! It may also have to do with the fact that I nearly died the first time I was pregnant due to (rare) complications from the IVF and I was in the hospital for nearly 2 months. Regardless, I know that I am blessed to have a DH willing/happy to wait on me. Now, the condition of the house since I have been on bed rest?! That is another story!! But hey, I take what I can get...

And Jennie, hang in there!! I'd send my DH over if I could!!
