As I am sure alot of you here didn't, lol! I found out Friday (at 28 wks...) I am expecting twins. A real shock since there is no history of twins on either side of the family. Needless to say, both dad and I are thrilled! The reason for finding out so late is due to relocating and changing doctors, and a lot of uncertainty about where we wanted to deliver.
My OB for my first two children is no longer practicing in Houston, so I had been seen for my first 3 appointments at our clinic. With moving and trying to decide which doctor to use, several weeks had passed. I decided to use my sister's OB and couldn't get a new patient appointment with him for 3 weeks. I was getting nervous, but really insisted on using him - feeling it was worth the wait. So my appointment with him was last Wednesday and Ultrasound on Friday. I had a funny feeling when the technician asked if there was a family history of twins..... because she saw two babies!
I look forward to seeing how everyone here is progressing, and I apologize in advance for the tons of twins/multiples related questions I will be asking...
Congrats and welcome to the world of twins. Thats crazy that you didn't find out till 28 weeks. I found out @ almost 10 weeks and I'm still in shock. Ask as many questions as you want, the ladies on here are amazing and have helped me out a lot.
Congrats and welcome! Crazy too find out so late. lol.

I nursed my twins for 2years and 2 weeks! A little sad to be all done now.
All we know, so far, is Baby A is a boy. Baby B was hiding. I was going to have an anatomy scan on Friday, but the tech said she wouldn't have enough time for both babies, so we have that scheduled for next week.
I am not really freaking out just super excited and feeling really blessed to have two babies on the way. I am still asking myself HOW?!?!?!?! But just like the tech said when I told her there was no family history... She said "there is now!" I did read an article (on slate.com) that gave some explanations for the rise in multiple births, so I guess maybe I fall into the older mom, more FSH category, lol. I just turned 33.
I guess I should update my ticker now. Trying to remember how to use Photobucket, so I can post a pic or two.
Thank you for all the congratulations! A late congratulations to you all, as well. It seems several of us are due around the same time.
