No more classes. :(

I tried to be so good and get signed up for all these baby classes early. I'm officially not allowed to go to my infant care class and breastfeeding class this week. And God help me if it's a vaginal birth 'cause I know nothing about it! Maybe Netflix can help me out here...

I can't believe I'm already this antsy at home. Only three more days and I get to leave the house for a doctor appointment!

Sorry that you don't get to take your classes, but you can do it without them. Wink I looked into classes with my first, and was amazed at the price, I am cheap. Smile Anyhow, I checked out a few movies from the library on childbirth, they were graphic, my dh was so thrilled that I forced him to watch them with me. lol. They were old too. lol. Anyhow... I had a completely drug free vaginal delivery with my first, though the nurse thought I was crazy when I said I had not taken any classes, but she was very supportive of natural childbirth, which I think is why they gave me her. I really figured, if women have been doing this for how many thousands of years, I'm pretty sure I can do it too (well and it helps that I am uber-stubborn and ppl told me I could not do it). Whether you do it natural or not, you can do it. Smile And a few years later my sis and I found more than a few birthing movies on youtube as well (adult content, again, graphic).

Well, I just found out I won some nipple gel, so that should help with the breastfeeding! Wink

Aww ... my boyfriend decided to go to the infant care class tonight anyway! He's going to be the only guy all alone.

You can definitely find information. Send your DH to the library to look for infant care books and childbirth books. They should have them. You can watch videos if you want. Biggrin I would also see what you can find about c-sections to prepare yourself, just in case.

Your DH is such a good father already. I hope he brought home some great information for you. Also, remember that the nurses are there to help you and can provide you with some great information on infant care. Babies really are pretty resilient and are not as fragile as they seem. You will do great!

Congrats to you both for winning!
I'm so glad DH went to the class, I'm sure that made you feel a little better. As for the breastfeeding, I'm sure you can get help in the hospital when the time comes. Be sure to get as much as possible when you are a patient (when I saw the LC after I was discharged they signed me up for outpatient consulting?!?). Really, it will all be ok. Just keep resting and maybe take the long route to the dr's office if it's a nice day. Smile
