So my first appointment isn't until the sixth. My uterus is three finger widths below my naval and I'm only 12 weeks. I have had four previous pregnancies so I realize my uterus will grow slightly faster. I am a fraternal twin and twins run in my family (mother's side) any twin mommies conceive without drugs and not find out until second trimester. My other thought was fibroids... any ideas, advice, or experiences please share. I'm going nuts.
I found out @ 9 weeks but had suspicionsthat it was twins (twins run in my family and I had a belly @ 9 weeks where as with DD1 I didn't show until I was almost 5 months). Have you had blood work done yet? If it is twins, you HCG will be crazy high. Thats why my doctor order an ultrasound early to see if I was further along then we thought or if it was multiples. I also had symptons of pregnancy right after missing my pd. Bad morning sickness, showing early etc. Hope this helps. Congrats on the pregnancy either way.
Yeah, I started showing around 10 weeks and by 14 weeks I was in full-blown maternity pants. I'm a a twin as well, and I found out at 7 weeks that I was pregnant with multiples. I wish you the best of luck! Any chance of going to a hospital somewhere, anywhere, and telling them your situation? Hospitals will do ultrasounds, at least in the state I live. What about a women's center, or a Planned Parenthood? These are both options you should check out.
Good luck! <3
This may be a bad thing to do BUT you could go to the hospital complaining of cramps/bleeding and they'll do blood work and possibly an u/s to determine if its a m/c. I only know this because when I was pregnant w/ DD1 I had bleeding and cramps and went the hospital because I thought I was m/cing. I know its misleading but it might put you at ease.
Actually, my HCG was within normal limits with my girls. It was not really high at all. It just depends on your body, I think.
Since you have had several previous pregnancies, my thought is that it may just be that your uterus is already stretched, so it is bigger than it would be with a first pregnancy. Just eat well and take care of yourself until your doctor will see you. Good luck!
