My MFM said that the soreness was very normal. Contractions for me were very obvious becaues my entire belly became very taut and hard. The soreness I felt was all stretching. Between 36 and 37 weeks, I was very sore because I had a bad cold and Keira's head pushed into my belly button every time I coughed. It was so bad that there were times I took a hot shower and just sobbed. I made it though and so will you. :bigarmhug:
I get very sore too - my babes are almost 12 pounds combined. Sometimes it feels as though my stomach is going to rip!
Hang in there!!
Last night I went to L&D because I was having strong contractions that were close together. The doctor said that it's normal to have contractions a lot like that with twins, definitely wasn't in labor that is, not even a hint of going into labor. So she said to use those contractions as a baseline, meaning if they get extremely painful, then to head to L&D.
She also said the same thing, that the soreness is because of the stretching.
So yeah, I'm learning lots of new things here with twins & can't wait to meet these two even if it means a few more weeks of "grinning & bearing it". :)
Jennifer so thankful it was a false alarm. Take it easy those babies need more time!
