Congratulations! :D
And I take it they're in two sacs?
Ha! Best of luck! I love my girls, but oh...the drama! Poor DH. He was super excited about girls and he still loves it, but he gets pushed over the edge by all the crying and tantruming. My DS is so easy going. He had rare tantrums and screaming fits, but the girls feed off each other.
I find dressing twins girls to be really hard as well. You may not have the same issues. My girls wear completely different sizes. They can rarely share clothes. So, I have to buy two wardrobes. This means twice the expense, which you would have with b/g twins anyway, I guess. So, shopping for cute little skirts and shirts, with matching tights and shoes is not an option. They get play clothes and an occasional dress. Of course, I have three kids, so we are dividing our clothing budget into 3 separate wardrobes. I keep hoping there ends up being some extra for me. :D
Overall though, girls are just as much fun as boys.
Congrats, thats so exciting. Girls do have more attitude but I love my girls so much. Plus, they are more fun to dress then boys.
Congrats! Did DH grow up with sisters or girl cousins? We're having 3 girls and DH grew up with 4 younger sisters (2 sets of spontaneous twins, 1 ident 1 frat). So not only is he used to the drama, he loves it. Crazy. We've been joking that was his bootcamp for being the father of girl triplets!
I've always seen myself as the mother of boys. Don't know why but I have. We live in Singapore and all of the Chinese mommies that come to the yoga studio I teach at die when I say I'm having 3 girls- they say how lucky I am because girls always take care of their mom, never forget birthdays, like to do lunch, and call home way more often. I never thought of it that way. I have a great relationship with my mom now (of course I drive her nuts in my teens), so Im just super excited to have 3 daughters to share all of my female knowledge/experience with. And now you have 2! It's so cool.
Congratulations!!!
Congrats!!! We rarely dress the girls the same, but we coordinate their clothes.
of course they had alot of clothes passed down from big sister.
We don't dress our girls the same either. Until they choose to do it, I just cannot bring myself to dress them alike. They aren't identical. It helps people because they are not dressed alike and they can tell the differences between them a lot easier. If only we had clothes that we could pass down. :D That would be awesome.
I agree with the previous posts- I think it's cuter when they're dressed differently. But I may be in the minority because I'm so not a 'pink' or 'pastel' girl, and I won't be putting my girls in much pink/pastels either. My mom jokes that my girls will be in all black and white and gray... Of course, when they're old enough to choose, then they can wear what they want (within reason of course).
Ha! This is totally what we ended up with too. A lot of pink and a lot of "Daddy's Girl" stuff. I hated the pastel pink! Now that I have more control over the girls wardrobe, there is less pink, more denim, and a lot of color variety. I will admit that I love pink on Keira though. Her coloring is fair and it looks great with her blue eyes. :D
