Funneling cervix. My OB sounded really annoyed that he's no longer allowed to give terbutaline or he would have.

Ugh indeed. Sorry to hear that. Keep those LO's baking. Do you have things to keep you occupied at home?

Hugs! Take it easy, I really think it does help. My cervix was shortening at 28wks, and I kept those babes in until 36wks. KUP!
So why can't they give the terbutaline? I'm trying to remember if I had that. I had nifedipine every 4hrs starting at 31 wks (when I was completely effaced and 4cm dilated) until 36wks, I think it helped.

I nursed my twins for 2years and 2 weeks! A little sad to be all done now.

That's so great for me to hear that you kept them in until 36 weeks with the shortening cervix and effacement. The OB gave me a new goal of at least 32 weeks knowing that they'll be in the NICU if they're even that early. Apparently there's some new (I don't know how new) FDA regulation on terbutaline and patients can no longer take it orally at home because of a small risk of heart complications (that I'm not at particular risk for). So instead I will have to be admitted and monitored every time I have contractions so they can give it to me at the hospital.

Yes, I did home bedrest for 3wks, and then at 31wks when I was effaced and such I was admitted to the hospital and did 4wks of bedrest there, it sucked, royally, but it kept those babies in. I got to go home the week of Christmas because I begged (and it was my almost 5yr olds only Christmas wish) and so I went home for a week still on the nifedipine, and then back for the c/s at 36wks. It can be done. Its boring and hard, but my babies had mere hours of nicu time vs months. I was thankful for good doctors and a cooperative uterus and cervix. lol

You're stuck at home, too, right? Yeah, I'm sure I'll figure it out but just get bored. I have some books and I'll find some show to get into on hulu or something. Just standing up is giving me contractions so I'll mostly be in bed.

Take it easy! You can do it! I hope that you are able to keep those babies baking for a little while. Just lay around and be lazy. When else will you get a chance to do that? Plus, when those babies come, you will never know what it means to be lazy again. I got a whole 30 minute nap in yesterday and I was in heaven.
