Thread: Uncomfortable

I have started feeling really uncomfortable in the past few days. I know all the babies are about double the weight of babies in the stage, but my daughter was a whopper so I think I have weeds in there. I go out of work at 20 weeks but am finding it hard already to work a full day. I start to get pain in my stomach. Is this normal at 17 weeks?

according to my SIL who had triplet boys, yes it is normal.

Yes, I think it is normal. Multiples are going to wear you out fast and you will pretty uncomfortable. Twins were pretty tiring. I cannot imagine adding another baby to that. Rest as much as you can. Only 3 more weeks of work. Hugs!

Yeah, I would think so. With just twins I was getting loads of awful contractions starting at 16 weeks. I was teaching so I had weeks 12-24 or so off for summer, but it was really hard working with just twins at 24 weeks.

I agree with the others, rest when you can!

I was uncomfortable with twins, I couldnt even imagine how you feel. Yay for almost being done work. I worked till almost 35 weeks and hated every minute of it. I begged to be taken off my doctor didnt believe in bedrest.

I agree with Krista. Those last few weeks of working were miserable. We were still traveling quite a bit around 20 weeks, but that was twins and even then I would get a ton of contractions with walking. All I have to say is that get your trips to Walmart/Target now as I was unable to do this at the end of my pregnancy, which was heartbreaking because all I wanted to do was nest. Thank god for Amazon however.

I was thankful that I was able to make a decision to leave work at 32 weeks, and we could afford it for that brief time. My doctor could not recommend leave for me because physically I had no issues. However, I felt miserable working that long. The drive to work was uncomfortable, and I felt like a zombie at work. My brain was not functioning. I did not need bedrest at all, but I did spend a lot of time resting between 32 and 37 weeks.

I agree that you should get done whatever shopping you need to do now. With triplets, you never know what could happen, and you want to be prepared. My hope is that you make it past 32 weeks...35 weeks would be spectacular. Just be prepared to be really miserable physically. The heartburn and the muscle aches will suck!

Yes the back and muscles are killing me! My dr does not believe in bed rest either. I travel with my job but only local and one of the drs in my practice said no more work! I was glad! I have not been working for 5 weeks! I am worn out from going to the grocery store 2 days ago!
