2 new LOs, including technique I finally tried

This is DS with my best friend's dog, Daisy. I forget the exact journaling, but the idea of it is that nathan couldn't always say Daisy well, so it sometimes came out Daiso. We thought it sounded like a super hero name and joked about getting her a cape. It is hard to see the cape in the pic, but there is a peach colored "D" in the middle of the yellow shape on the cape. I am also unhappy with how the title came out...I should have just left it the same color as the cape rather than inking it...oh well. I also don't like the square journaling in the corner...but it is done and I need to move on and get caught up Lol

The second LO, I got to try that technique that I found a video for...where you put another page protector on the LO so you can flip through multiple pics. This is the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Vdcmbqk2QE&feature=channel

Here is the LO:

and with the flap flipped up

so then I will slide the 12x12 page into a page protector with the flap over it, so you can flip through without having to cut a window in the 12x12 page protector, if that makes sense. (oh and I screwed up, the patterned paper on the flipped up page is upside down, haha...but once again, I need to keep moving and get caught up, so I left it as is)

Aww the first LO is so cute.

Love the 2nd one it's so awesome. I don't recall you posting the link to the tutorial but i'm definitely putting that in my archive of things to do. You're so awesome.

oh ps- i didn't even notice that the pp was flipped until you said. Actually it looks pretty cool that way.

Kudos to you for getting more pages done. TFS

These are both great, but that 2nd one is so cool! Thanks for posting a link. I think you did great on it and it's neat that you branch out to try new things. TFS

That is a cool technique.
I never do stuff like that (or hidden journaling) cause of putting everything in page protectors.
I like how you did it so it can go over the top of the page.

I just used a regular 6x6 page protector. then I adhered the tab portion (with the holes) to the back of the LO). the only downside to those is that when you put them on the LO they end up being loaded from the side...but I doubt those little pages will fall out. I also bought some 5x7 page protectors to use for the same technique. I think towards the end of that video she shows how to do it using regular page protectors...I forget b/c I haven't watched the video in a while.

I absolutely love the second LO with the additional page protector technique. I've done hidden journaling where I can pull it out through the top of my page protectors to read, but this idea is awesome! TFS!

I actually liked the inked title ... I think it would look better matted in a contrasting color though (for future layouts). that's a cute story about Daiso.

and I really like the second layout! if I ever have time to scrapbook again, I'd like to try that ...

Fab!! The page protector idea is a great one. I also don't do hidden stuff anymore because of having pages inside sleeves, but this makes it worth doing! Smile
