3 cards

It's been a sad few weeks. I've known so many friends that have lost loved ones I actually ran out of the sympathy cards from the swap already. Sad so I made two more for my friend that just lost her grandmother and her parents that lost their mother. Sad

I had a lot of blue butterflies left from the layout I posted in the spring challenge, so it worked perfectly. Obviously very simple. And I don't know why it's taken me THIS LONG TO FIGURE OUT THE BLACKOUT FEATURE WITH THE BUTTERFLIES on Home Accents!! I love it!

Transparency Love card

"love" is Beyond Birthdays, Scallops are Plantin Schoolbook and birds are from Home Accents.

Charys, those are all very beautiful! I love how the light blue looks with the kraft paper. That last card looks like it came right out of a magazine. Great job Smile

I think they are beautiful and perfectly done! The butterflies are a perfect symbol on a sympathy card. I mean I like to think of my loved ones as light and free when they die. I mean their worries are gone and they are free of pain and all. Sympathy cards are such a hard thing to make or buy and I think you have done a wonderful job with yours.

Charys, they are all so pretty, but that last one. Wow!! I do have a question for you about PS cart. Whey you cut the scallops how you set the Cricut to know how long it will be? Does that make sense? Like if I wanted a scalloped edge for the whole 12x12 page, how do you get that? TIA!

If you select 1/2" it will just cut a 1/2" tall by 3 1/4" long scallop. For a 12x12 you need to just cut 4 of them for the border and glue them edge to edge. If you select 3/4" it's a little longer and so on.....
my favorite is the 1/2" size. I just layered them off-centered a bit and sanded the edges slightly to give them a 3-D look.

The last is SOO cool! Im guessing you painted the edges, thats what it looks like anyhow. Soooo Pretty! Thanks for making MY day Charys!

Thanks Zene! You're so sweet. Yes, I painted the outside edge of the transparency.

Great cards! All of em! Smile

I didn't love that bird cage paper as much until I saw what you've done with it! And I love all your butterflies, too!

The simplicity and elegance of that first one is amazing! I simply adore it. It's perfect for a time like that. The butterflies are so cute. That last one is amazing! I can't get over how creative you are!
