Default 3 ring binder for scrapbook album ?

I need to buy a new album for when I start Griffin's first year. I've had it with the post extender albums and thought I remembered someone on here saying they used a 3 ring binder for an album. Can you use any 3 ring binder and the page protectors will just fit, or are there certain page protectors that work with them? Any links anyone can share would be appreciated! I've looked online and I can find albums, but no inside pictures and no reference to how the page protectors would work. TIA

We use them for work all the time, various page protectors and various brands of three ring binders. They all have the same core measurements for the punch holes, so they should work for you in with the standard 8 1/2 by 11" pages. You planning on decorating the outside and inside? It reminds me of the wedding planner they made in the movie, "My Big Fat Greek Wedding."

i do 12x12 pages, but I found 3 ring 12x12 albums at target and kohls before. if you do 8.5x11 pages, you will probably be able to use a regular binger...the page protectors might stick out the edge a little since binders are made for just paper with 3 holes punched (not the additional edge with the 3 holes that the page protectors have)...but depending on the binder it might not stick out at all/much

I use 3-ring albums! So much cheaper. All of the page protectors will work, as long as they're the right size. I've also found them in 12x12 and 8.5x11.

Yeah, I scrap 12x12. Sorry, forgot to add that. So you just get a normal binder and you can find them for 12x12 size??? Hmmm

They make D ring albums for 12x12.....michaels carries them as well as target & amazon.

    Here's a link of the brand I've purchased. http://www.amazon.com/Cloth-D-2dRing...8858928&sr=8-4

Here's the link to american crafts.... http://www.americancrafts.com/subcat...p?id=21&sub=73

I have one for ds and one for dd and one for our wedding. going to purchase a few more soon.
Oh if u have a hobby lobby they sell them too. They aren't expensive and if you use the 40-50% coupons at either michaels or hobby lobby when they aren't on sale that seems to be the best deal.
