6 random cards

I made these last night, because I just couldn't seem to get any layout mojo going.
Valentine's Day card for DH

"love" was cut from Beyond Birthdays

Valentine or anniversary card

that stitching by hand took forever and I will never do it again! It's not even that pretty looking. ugh. It's a pain going through the transparency. I almost just ditched this card half way through! LOL

Baby Blessings

"baby" is cut from DonJuan using the Under Pressure setting. "blessings" cut from Beyond Birthdays. Stars are from George.

A baby girl card for next Friday. I have a baby shower to attend, so that's what started all this card making. Smile

Anniversary card for DH

And this one's for Tialee. Smile She gave me a challenge to use up some of this paper on a layout and boy it was hard. I gave up and made a card instead. I cheated, I know. Wink

the card was REALLY easy...just edged in brown chalk, stuck the paper on and added three jewels. lol

WoW! LOL You made my ugly paper look great. I was LMAO cause I forgot all about that. All of the cards are great! I love the one with the stitching and YES it does look pretty! Just wondering do you buy transparency cards? If so where do you get them? Also the LOVE card is great! I saw that paper at hobby lobby but thought it was a little busy but wow did you make it go great! So what do you do on the inside of the card? Do you end up seeing all the glue or do you back it with something? In All great Job!!!!!

That baby girl card is just gorgeous! They will treasure it forever! Biggrin I love the "love" cards. That's one of my favorite cuts from BB! The baby blessings card is too cute. I love the little foot and hand.

haha, that paper isn't ugly, it's just darn hard to use! LOL I've decided to make a set of cards with them. I will probably give the set to my MIL for Mother's Day, since it will match her personality. Smile So, thank you, you just fixed my Mother's Day shopping problem. haha
And I buy a box of transparency paper from Office Depot or Office Max. They come 100 to a box of 8.5x11 sheets, so I'm still on my FIRST box. The box cost almost $28, :o but because I can make 200 cards from it, I think it's probably worth it. (Or atleast that's the argument I told DH.) That's about .14 cents a card. Gwen mentioned that sometimes you find left-over transparencies on Freecycle (or something like that??). We don't have that near us, but my church gave me a TON of them originally, so that's what started it. I was looking at my stack of transparencies from the church thinking what I could do with them. And so started my love for it. Wink I just cut the sheets in half, fold the halves and voila. Biggrin

Those look great! I really like the 2nd card.

Know what's funny? I think I used the same paper in your 1st card on a reptile LO!!!! Lol Talk about one extreme to another, eh?

Beautiful! That baby girl card is so sweet -- they will love it! Your true love card is great. I love how you included the photo of the 2 of you.

You may not have had LO mojo, but you sure did have some card making mojo! LOL

I love 'em! My fav is the first one. The script is so pretty. And the two little jewels add the perfect texture and accent to that gator paper. Smile

I can imagine that stitching on the transparency was probably pretty rough on the fingers.

TFS more of your great stuff Charys!

they're all beautiful! I love the stitching on the transparancy, so I'm glad you didn't give up. Wink

I got two boxes of transparencies (both partially used, but still, I have a LOT) on freecycle. if you haven't joined freecycle (www.freecycle.org), you should! lots of great stuff on mine.
