adhesive of choice for cricut letters

For those of you who have cricuts, what do you use to stick the darn letters, etc. down? I know the xyron is an option, but I am currently cut of (by myself and probably DH if I asked, haha) from buying more expensive stuff. I bought a glue stick thing at Target yesterday, but I haven't tried it out yet. Some of the die cut shapes are big enough to use my standard favorite of the tape runner, but I am not sure what to do about some of the skinny letters or shapes. What do you all do to stick 'em down?

I've posted this before, but it was a while ago. This will become your new best friend!!! Soooo worth the couple bucks and mine has lasted for months. It has a very fine tip, so even your smallest letters are so easy to glue down. After months of using a glue stick, I was amazed how much time this saved me.

It writes like a pen, but it's glue. A friend bought me this from a Michael's.

I also use a glue pen like that.

I use a glue pen that's the thickness of a highlighter... it's not as fine as the one Charys posted, but it gets those designs that aren'ts too detailed and those that aren't too big either. (it's a blue pen thingy - you can find it at walmart)

I use my Xyron ... AC Moore has a half price coupon this week, you can get the 150 for $5.50 if you use the coupon or the 250 for about $10. I've tried the glue pens and glue sticks, and really, nothing compares to the Xyron for the job.

I agree with Gwen, the xyron is my favorite too!!! I got mine with a 40% off coupon from hobby lobby. I have the 250 and for refills I used coupons too.

Charys- I've looked every where for that glue pen, you said your friend got it at Michaels right? I guess I will have to look again and if I don't find it ask someone.

I have always wondered this as well. I get so tired of glue sticks.

I am going to have to look for that glue pen somewhere. I wish I could get a xyron, but I need to wait! Lol

I use my xyron but the glue pen works well too. I have the blue one that Sadie has. When it runs out I will try the skinny one Charys has.

If you can't find it, I can ask my friend to pick one up. I don't mind mailing one to you at all. She works at the Michael's, so she's right there.
Sadie, you would really like this. It works so much better than glue sticks. With the glue stick I always had "run-over"...you know where the glue gets on the sides and tops of the letters?

I use glue dots! I can cut them in half or in more pieces for skinnier parts of the letter (depending on font).

Charys- I'll look next time I'm in and if I can't find it then I may have your friend pick me one up.

I struggle with the pen ... it dries too quick sometimes and sometimes I squeeze too hard and too much glue comes out. it's so much more work than the Xyron. Lol

those small xyrons would be doable for me...it's the big machine ones that I can't buy right now. I just wasn't sure how well those little ones worked, but thanks for letting me know ladies Smile

I have the little one that is shaped like an x, it works fine but like I said earlier I hav the 250 which is handy for bigger letters or shapes.
