Album HELP!!!

Ladies, I desperately need some help! I never post over here, but I occasionally lurk. I am at my wits end...

I am making a scrapbook for a woman I go to church with. It's for her son for Christmas, and its his main gift. She is paying me to make this for her, and the more I get into it the bigger pain it's becoming. I am convinced that this project is doomed to fail. It's been one thing after another. I am so frustrated!

My recent dilemma is that I can't find a binder large enough to hold all of my pages. I ordered a scrapbook with D-rings supposedly 3 inches in diameter. Yeah... Not big enough, and the D-rings aren't even 3 inches. They're 2. I probably am looking at needing a 4 inch binder, but where in the WORLD do I find something like that in a 12x12 size??? I am open to doing a post-bound album (which is what I prefer), I just haven't been able to find one that I think can extend as much as I need it to.

This (http://www.goodcommonsense.net/grre4dribi.html) is the ONLY thing I have been able to find, and I'm not sure it seems durable.

Any ideas? PLEASE HELP!!!

Corinne-

First off I am not much help. The one that I stuffed full of pages, is falling apart, or it is apart I guess I should say. I do know that Charys (MommyCB) bought a 3 ring album from ebay, that she said works great. How many pages are you completing, and what size? I wish I could be of more help. Sorry. I need album help too.

I've only ever used post-bound ones and have never had a problem, but then digi-scrap pages aren't too heavy when you put them in the book. Sorry I'm no help!

I buy my 3-ring binders on ebay and have loved the quality and how many pages they hold. BUT, they are only 3". I did a quick search and couldn't find any 12x12 4" binders.....let me check some more for you. Approx. how many pages are you doing?

Well... The woman I'm making the album for printed up letters she wrote to/from her son while he was away for 2 years. That alone is 88 page protectors and fills up MORE than the album I already purchased. She printed the letters on cardstock, which (I think) is half the reason everything is so thick. I am looking at probably 50 page protectors full of photos on top of the 88 I already have. These are all 12x12.

Do you think it would be OK to do letters in one album, and photos in another? And should the albums match??

I think it would be fine to split it up like that! Wow, you're gonna have to take pics of the pages. Smile

 Holy Cow Corinne! You do have your hands full with this project! I think it would be fine. They might even like that better! That might be the only way to do it.

I would split it too. I think letters in one and pics in another would be totally acceptable and I wouldnt think they would have to match, that way the son could tell them apart. And really he probably doesnt really need to show his friends the letters, but more the pictures, KWIM. I hope you're getting paid well for this Wink Sounds like a big job!
