Here's my spread for this week. What do you think?
The writing, as requested....
"Right after our wedding, we packed up and moved to Seoul, South Korea. We lived there for 2 years while studying the language. Most of our focus was on helping North Korean refugees and those still inside the country as well. Our time was full of amazing opportunities and relationships."
"With our best friends and their daughter."
"Our Korean "grandmother" who took good care of us"
"While in Korea we were surrounded by friends and church members who became family members for us. We miss them so much and look forward to working with them again soon!"
"DMZ - dividing the 2 Koreas"
Page 2: (left to right)
"At the Great Wall and Tiananmen Square"
"Closely related to our work with North Korea, we found ourselves in China alot. Most of the time we were working on different projects and encouraging other missionaries living there. We did find time to do a little sight-seeing and cultural study of the Chinese people."
"Working with Burmese refugees in Thailand with Maria's family"
"Doing laundry in Northern China with missionary friends"
"We also did alot of refugee work in Thailand along the Burma (Myanmar) border. Maria's brother, Ben, lives there as a missionary and is engaged to be married to Emma, a beautiful Burmese woman."

you're inspiring me!!!! i like pages with more than one picture on them and you're showing me how to do that effectively!!!
Delia - Mama (homebirthing, breastfeeding, cosleeping, baby wearing, cloth diapering type of a Mama!) to
Jeena Kongju (Jan. 20/06) and Maria Konae (June 18/09)
Wow, you are really good! So correct me if I'm wrong... you are making these pages for the birth mother of the child you're adopting so that she knows more about you and your husband? That is so incredibly sweet and creative! You are very talented, too. I love the layouts!
Yes, I am doing this digitally. I'm using the HP Creative Scrapbook Assistant. I LOVE it for quick pages! It is very user friendly and doesn't cost alot.
I have to say...I usually scrap them as 12X12 and then print as an 8X8...more room for creativity. These 8 1/2X11 pages are driving me crazy! I don't have as much room for variance as I am used to. Thankfully the HP CSA allows you to scrap in whatever size you want.
These pages are for our "profile book". When a birthmother comes in wanting to place her child for adoption, based on her desires, etc they give her 5 - 6 of these from different families. She looks through them and chooses the family she wants to parent her child. It helps her to be involved in where her baby grows up.
Another fabulous job, Maria.
You sure have a good eye for incorporating alot of photographs and information on one page.
I am more impressed with each one I see.
It's another perfect page. I know God will bless you two with a beautiful child. Your love of God and eachother is evident. TFS
