another beginner here...

Hello everyone!

I'm trying to do some scrapbooking for the first time and I'm having problems with the pages laying flat when you are flipping through them; the plastic kinda buckles and gaps in an unflattering way. Is it just me doing something wrong, or are the decorative papers I got at the local art store maybe a smidgeon too wide? Any thoughts? It's making me nuts!

Thanks!

-Suzanne

I thin kyou may be right on them being just the tinest bit too wide...a couple of mine were and I trimmed down just the smallest bit and they stayed flat after that.

Welcome to the board by the way!:D

Welcome! I would say they're a bit too wide too. I've had that happen before. Some paper isn't true "12x12" or "8.5x11" like they say it is.

I've had that happen and that sounds like the case - just a bit too wide. Welcome to the board!

Like the others said...trim one edge a little and it should fit perfectly.

Welcome to the board!!! Yeah, like other posters said, you probably just need to trim the paper. I've had a few like that too!!

and yes, sounds like they need a trim. I have pages like that too, drives me nuts. and I don't know they're going to do that until AFTER I'm done with them and try to put them in the book. grrrrrr

I'm glad it's not just me! After having to take a page apart I'm getting pretty good at "checking" the paper first. Very annoying, you don't think it would be that hard to make paper a standard size...

Thanks for the welcome, everybody! Not sure how much scrapbooking I'm gonna get done, but I'm going to try (-:
