Dh's Grandma moved into assisted living about a year and a half ago, but just recently got moved to a nursing home. So this summer they started cleaning out her house so they can try to sell it. When we were going through stuff I grabbed all her sheets, pillowcases, and some other fabric that she had.
I decided to make table runners out of the fabric for Dh's 5 siblings and parents. So here they are!
The tag says "These table runners were made 100% with fabric from Grandma's house."

That is such a lovely idea with table runners. My great grandma's quilts are one of those few things that I really cherish. My aunt kept all of the fabric from her house when she died and has made each new baby a quilt using one of her patterns. It's a truly thoughtful gift Lena!
Lena, what a neat idea for a gift! I bet that will mean so much to her! One of these days I will venture out into the sewing world beyond baby shoes. Things like this inspire me.

Lena, I am LOVING all the neat things you are posting lately. Those runners are such an awesome idea and if they don't love them, something is major wrong. LOL Great job. TFS

Ok I just noticed that my wreath is in this post. Oops! Off to fix it
Thanks for the compliments girls. They don't look too bad especially if you don't look really closely
