Anyone doing any challenges this year?

I really need something to give me some inspiration and a kick up the backside in 2010, so i think i am going to do a challenge. I picked a nice easy one called "Project 12".

Anyone else doing any? Smile

I think I am going to attempt the project 365 but I'm still looking for a place to join to keep me accountable

I'm not doing any set challenges like those (I like the idea of them but my main goal is to finish the kids' albums that I already have going). But my SIL is trying to get back into scrapping after having her first baby and going back to work and all that. She is going to be setting one night a week aside to scrap, and I thought that I might do that with her (long distance, but just knowing that we both are scrapping that night. We can send each other pics of what we get done I guess). Maybe we will keep each other moving that way. Biggrin

That sounds like a good idea Katie. I would love a real life friend to scrap with, but none of mine are into it. None that live close anyway.

That looks like a neat challenge.
I haven't set any goals at this point. I just don't know how things are going to go with baby #3. So I guess I will just focus on the birth announcements for now and see what happens after that.

I'm not 100% sure I'll take a picture a day, but I am going to try to take 7 per week. I've got 2 more month pages to do for Scout (11 and 12 months - and, yes, she'll be 2 years old next month!) and 4 month pages for Dylan (9-12 and she's just 9 months now). I want to be sure to get those done, too.

That challenge looks cool.

I think I will keep scrapping as I have been though. I'm getting better at skipping some events/photos. My goal is to just "get them done"

No challenges like that, but they do look cool. This year I just want to scrap as much as possible. I want to get these memories down before I forget them. Its bad that I look back at Jamie's pictures and can either barely remember or not remember the details already. It breaks my heart, so I just want to keep up with the pictures for them. I do plan to challenge myself to at least 2 layouts a week though.

That's why i like to blog Angie. Sometimes it's hit and miss, but i do get down a lot of feelings and events that i might otherwise forget about. Smile

I really like the idea of project 12. I would love to do something like that and in fact I was telling the hubby the other day how i'd like to something like the project 365 but i know how difficult it will be for to stick to it. Perhaps this is something a bit more realistic. Smile Thanks for posting this Sarah. Lyric is looking adorable as ever!!

What a great idea! I tried to do the 365 last year and it was so overwhelming! I was always forgetting to do it and then getting frustrated. I probably need to get a good start on Wyatt's baby books before I try another challenge Smile I was thinking of just challenging myself to try and to a page a week for the year! Find one thing interesting that we did for the week and make a page. I figure there has to be at least one exciting thing that happens every week Smile

I would love to do project 365 but I feel like I should get the kids books done so maybe next year. I think my goal for this year will be to do one page of each DS and DD each week and to get a start on doing our wedding album in digital.

Nothing like that, though it looks so cool. But I am challenging myself to NOT get behind on Cohen's book. I have scrapped SO much for Kayson, that I want to continue that with Cohen. Especially keeping track of the "little" things.

Charys, dont' beat yourself up if you dont, cause that inevitably happens with baby #2, and for me, baby #3 was the worst as she didn't even get a book. Sad Life just gets too busy. You are the best mommy and that is the most important right? Smile

I plan to keep my same schedule, trying to do one LO a week. I can usually stick to that...sometimes I do more than one in a week to make up for a week I may have missed.

I'm thinking about doing the 365...with just a photo a day. I take enough photos the way it is, it shouldn't be a problem...LOL. What is Project 12?

I'm doing a 365 photo challenge ... and I love the idea of this 12 challenge to showcase that! I was going to use this cool calendar template thing for my 365, but that might be too intense. I bookmarked the 12 Challenge, I hope I remember to do it. Thanks for the inspiration!

This is exactly what I am doing. I am doing the 365 on my Gymbofriends messageboard so there is accountability with it.

I'm going to attempt P365 as well. So far, so good! Lol I figure i can take a picture a day and at the end of the week, just do a real simple layout, probably a layout so that it doesn't seem to get too overwhelming taking up my time. If i fall behind, i'll try to do my best to at least capture something that week, if I can't do everyday. I think it will be interesting to look back on for sure.
