How do you like your Silhouette now? Do you miss your Cricut?

I still love mine and I don't miss my Cricut at all. I still have it, but I haven't touched it in a few months now.

I love it! I don't miss my Cricut either! I love the 12X12. I had the Cricut Create so it was terrible cutting my paper down to 6X12 size. I love being able to pull out the paper I need to cut and just sticking it to the mat! I recently bought some HTV and I am going to attempt to make the kids 4th of July shirts! I hope they turn out okay! Another thing I love is the Sil store. Since I got the $150 credit I can literally buy anything whenever I need it. THAT is awesome! My wishlist is always full on there! lol I will never go back to a Cricut now!

I love that store too. Every Tuesday when the new stuff comes out, I go through it all and add it all to my cart. I had the create as well. I loved it and used the heck out of it, but this is just so much better!

I just read up on this. Are the carts (if there are any) cheaper than the cricut carts? Also, I read that it cuts whatever the printer prints, so if I did wordart, it would cut it the way it looks as if it were printed?

You don't have to buy carts. That is the best part! They have a store with images for 99 cents. You can get a monthly subscription to save on the images. They have sales on the subs sometimes and I am getting 50.00 in images a month for just 11.25 a month! You can look at the image store here Silhouette Online Store

The print and cut sounds awesome, but I haven't tried it yet. You put the image in the program and it finds its "registration marks", you print it and then put the paper in your machine and it would cut the image out.

I love it. You can use their software or Make the Cut or Sure Cuts a Lot.

Tracey the Cameo is worth every shiny penny. Everything is on the computer, no need to keep up with those pesky carts (which is awesome!) I haven't tried the print and cut feature either because I am a big chicken! It took me a few weeks to actually cut a lot of stuff because the machine is just so awesome it was a little intimidating! ha! I plan on trying it soon. Yes, whatever you want it to print and cut, it will. So you can create a word art and print it with the registration marks as Angie mentioned and it will find those marks and cut it out! There are tons of print and cut shapes in the silhouette store as well. I personally have the $150 worth subscription and I pay $15 a month because I used a 20% off coupon. I will gladly pay $15 a month for 150 images a month! I can literally buy anything I want or need at any time.

Angie- I do the same thing every Tuesday! I hope I don't miss this week's free shape since I am back at home. :/. But, I am going back home on Friday, so I will have to hop on my computer and fill my cart with all the new things! I still can't wait to get started on the kid's shirts! I'll have to do that as soon as I get home! (School work can wait, right )

You can go to the store from your phone, log in and buy it and it will download when you turn on your software the next time. I know, because I did that last week at the school when waiting on Jamie to finish speech therapy lol.

I was just looking through the store you linked (thanks!) and I was wondering if they're png files then if you can print and then cut the pictures or word art. If that is the case, it would also easily cut out any elements from digital kits as well for even much cheaper since many kits have 100+ elements plus paper for under $5 - or to create your own digital kits and create hybrids with this.... I'm really intrigued! Course when I was showing DH, he just rolled his eyes and walked out of the room, haha!

I would think you could print and cut digital elements as long as you have the registration marks on the paper you print. You can add registration marks to anything from the studio software. Maybe you should be our guinea pig for that. (I am sure your hubs would just LOVE that hehe!)
