Baby Shower decorations (idea's needed)

Does anyone have any pictures of things they have made as decorations for baby showers? One of my good friends is having a baby (after years of trying and multiple losses) so we are throwing the shower to end all showers!!! I want to make some great decorations, but my brain is full of homework stuff and I can't seem to get any good ideas going.

I remember someone made a super cute diaper cake, but I can't find it.

I just threw a baby shower for my friend who is having a boy.

I cut about 200+ airplanes from New Arrivals in brown and blue (their nursery theme) and about 100+ clouds and stars to spread as "confetti" on the tables. Then I bought the little gift boxes at the Dollar Tree (6 for $1!) and glued an airplane and cloud on each. My friend made the diaper cake, which turned out soo cute! HTH!

I did centerpieces for my friend's shower in August. I used the new arrival cart. for my circut.

Here are a bunch of pictures of diaper cakes to get ideas, they make a great center piece to a shower.

The clothesline idea mentioned above is a great idea! And, there's a game that goes with it! Have you heard of it? Every guest has to take a turn, they have to hold a baby (doll), have a fake conversation on the phone, AND hang up all the itty-bitty clothes on the line the fastest. Or you could time them for 1 minute and see who gets the most but there would be some ties. FUNNY game!!!

I'd start with picking a theme and go from there for decor. My shower was rubber duckies since we didn't know the sex. My sister made blue punch, and had 3 little rubber ducks floating in it. Soooo cute!

This website has been so fun to look at while I'm planning Miles' birthday party. There's a few ideas for baby showers, too!

Here's the link for the baby bootie party favors.

Along with a diaper cake, I made my friend a scrapbook layout with a page for pictures and a page for guests to sign and write well wishes to the baby.

It looks like you have some great ideas already. I threw a rubber duck shower for my older sister a few years ago. I got all my ideas from a google search. I don't remember exactly what we did other than have rubber ducks on the table as decorations and in the punch. I did a lot of the planning, but I had a m/c the week of the shower, so a lot of my responsibilities were taken care of by my Mom. I did my best to be there and not cry. Wink It was rough, but I did what I needed to for my sister.

I threw a car/truck shower for my younger sister last year. We used toy trucks and cars as decorations. We also had flowers and balloons. We used a dump truck to hold the utensils in.

Have fun, showers are sooooo much fun to plan!!!!
